Chapter 6: True Race and Magic part 2

When they got inside they picked their rooms and got settled in. They sat in the living room with Jack as he explained some stuff. Butlers and maids bought them refreshments, he explained.

"First things first you all need to know how to sense magic. We are opting to take a shortcut rather than the normal way since you guys will be behind other kids who woke up earlier. Take this." Jack pulled out tiny green pills.

"These will forcefully open your third eye that allows you to see the mana around you. Before you ask, no it's not an actual eye, it's what we call it when people can see mana." Jack gave each of them a pill. They looked at each other for a minute before swallowing the pill. After that, there was pain. Their heads and eyes felt like they would explode. It was terrible, but it could have been significantly worse, it seemed. When it was over they opened their eyes and saw blue particulates everywhere.

"Wow, this is awesome." Alex was living his fantasy.

"Now there is some stuff I should tell you. First is your mana core. Right now you have no mana core. A mana core is what gives a person their magic. It also awakens their true race." Alex explained.

"What do you mean by true race?" Aria was the first to ask.

"Well, when your mana core is formed it allows a person to use a certain type of magic. Also when your magic core is formed your body changes. This means you can become a different species altogether. Amelia and I are both humans, a C rank species."

"So basically when we form this mana core we get some type of magic and we turn into a certain class of species?" John asked for confirmation.

"Yes, depending on what race you end up with you can also develop unique abilities from your race."

"That's so awesome. I'm living a dream, for the most part." Alex couldn't help but smile. He was hoping to get both a cool race and a cool magic type.

"Pull the mana around to the center of your chest to create your magic core. Collect the mana around you by focusing and focusing it toward your chest. When the mana starts forming a sphere it will be transparent. Keep putting mana in it and it will eventually turn black and your mana core will finally be formed. You will undergo a race change then too." Alex was like a teacher. All this information was a lot to take in. It was better to learn now than later though.

"So are there like levels to the mana core or is it just what you get? " John asked Jack while Alex was already forming his core. Aria waited until John started.

"The stronger your core is, the stronger your magic and race abilities are. They are divided by color and stages. Black is the weakest then there are gray, red, yellow, green, red, silver, and white. Each has 9 stages until they break through to the next color. I can't tell you much about race abilities. They are unique to each race."

"One more question then. How are the race systems divided?"

"There are 5 classes of ranks for races. The lowest levels are C-level species like humans. Then there are B levels such as vampires. The A-level consists of Higher Humans. Then there is level S, which is like an angel. Finally SS gods. There are other races, not just those, but these are just some examples." John nodded and began to practice with Aria and Alex.

*4 months later*

Alex had awakened. He awakened as a vampire with lightning magic. John and Aria were worried he would be a blood-crazed freak. So was Alex but Jack told them vampires just need blood; it didn't have to be from humans. He also said that vampires don't burn in the sun or anything, it just irritates them and makes them feel uncomfortable. A vampire was a pretty strong race and it was rare so Alex felt superior right now. Jack told him that although his race was strong, its abilities grew with his magic. His magic was still weak so someone whose race is weaker than him could defeat him if their mana core was bigger. The next to awaken was Aria. She got slightly taller and her ears got pointer along with growing even more beautiful. Jack was shocked to find that Aria had awoken as an elf and an A-class race. She also possessed wind magic. The last to awaken was John and his awakening nearly gave Jack a heart attack. John appeared as a demon with gravity magic. Both his race and magic were not commonly seen. John's eyes turned red and his pupils turned vertical and sharp. His hair was black as night. He was a demon SS-class race one of the top races that overlooked all others.

"What the hell is he?" Alex asked although he was envious since John looked badass.

"Damn are you three born with that much luck? Not only is Alex a B class race and Aria an A class, but to think you would be an SS class race is one of the top races in the world." Jack felt envious as well.

"John, it looks like you're a Demon, one of the rarest classes known," Amelia said with a huge smile like she was John's mom and he just got the key to the city or something. Jack told them something that made them think this was even more fairytale-like than they had ever imagined. He taught them how to open their system stats screen. They just had to think about the word analysis in their heads and focus on it. It wasn't like you got stat points where you could progress but it allowed you to see your progress. John opened his and was shocked at what he saw.

Everything was locked except his mana core. John thought maybe this was normal until he heard the others talk about their own.

{Blood Bank- can store blood in their own body and use how they wish how much that can be stored depends on the level of magic}

{Spirit Magic- Can use spirit magic a more advanced form of magic that amplifies magic attacks by 2x}

John told Alex about this but he never heard of that happening. John just decided to forget about it for now hoping it will eventually unlock.
