chapter 60:Gabby’s POV

"First of." She said with a stern look on her face as she watched me take my stance. She took steps circling me, "You need to be smart and Vigilant." Immediately the words rolled off her tongue I felt a blow to my back which sent me to the ground, I fell face down tasting dust in my mouth.

"What the fuck?!" I groaned spitting out the sandy particles, "That should have come with a warning, I tried dusting off the dirt from my shorts.

"No enemy strikes with a warning!" This time around it was a kick, aimed directly at my stomach and I tumbled to the ground on my back, "Get up!" Helena barked and I jumped to my feet immediately. This wasn't what I was expecting when Aiden said she was harsh and thorough with her training.

"You need to be prepared for anything!" I was taken aback as she brought forth leaps of fire and I immediately directed my hands to use my powers too, "Fighting fire with fire?" She snorted as flames came from my finger tips instead of water and ice,

"You need to step up your game!" The flames vanished and she threw a blow at mne which I caught due to my fast reflexes. She smiled before

catching the hand I used to stop her and twisted It but I was quick enough to clear her by kicking at her legs and we both came tumbling down to the ground.

"You need to have unwavering stamina!" We both jumped to our feet and she attacked mne with her legs this time, I fell face down to the ground, "You can't be falling on your feet in front of the enemy.'

I jumped up to my feet again and she tried to bring me down but I ducked avoiding her arms hooked her legs and brought her to the ground with a grin as I felt proud of myself having toppled her. The enemy wouldn't give you time to celebrate your victory before attacking again!" She pushed me off with her legs, straddled me and landed a bone crushing blow to my face, it all happened so fast. I didn't have tinme for defenses, "The enemy hits harder when the opponent is in a daze!" She landed another blow to my face and this time I held her two arms in mine and threw her off me, jumping to my feet I attacked her with fire and she used her telekinesis to push it aside, I used water which took her by surprise and she turned into a shivering mess.

"The enemy hits harder when opponent is in a daze." I repeated her words while stretching out my hand for her to take, "How did I do?"

"You did well my dear." She smiled getting up to her feet, "You are catching on really fast." She commended, "But you still got some loopholes you got to fill."

I nodded at her as I left the sandy field and jogged back to where Kate, Willow and Aiden were, Helena followed behind. The cold wind caressed my skin and I wrapped my hands around myself, winter was near and soon we would have snow. For Some odd reason, it was my favorite season as I always felt at peace no matter what was going on in my life.

"Mummy." Kate whined as soon as I got there,

"Can you freeze ny ice cream a little bit?" She pouted holding the cone out to me and as I collected it she bounced on Lycus's lap, "Daddy can't do it." She remarked looking up at Aiden and all four of us froze. Daddy? She just called Aiden daddy? Aiden stared at me wide eyed, willow was still in shock staring at Kate and Helena smiled, "I can call you daddy right?" She asked Lycus looking unsure of what she had said, "You love mummy, you kiss her every day and buy her nice things, you let me play with your hair and put me to bed, you are my daddy." She wrapped her arms around him this time and hugged him tightly, "I love you so much because you love mummy and me.

"You can call me daddy."Aiden hugged her back, his voice having a rough edge on it, "I love you more my dear."

"Yippe!" She got off his lap and jumped down to the ground.

"Here you go." I erouched giving her the ice cream which I had worked my magic on, she gave me a peck before running off in the direction of the other kids.

"She called me daddy." Aiden mumbled as he walked up to me his face morphed with a look of unbelief.

"It's okay if you are not f..."

"Are you kidding me?" He laughed drawing me into his arms, "I love her so much and I have been waiting to hear that." He dropped soft kisses on my cheeks before giving me a deep and passionate kiss on the lips.

"Get a room you guys!" Willow gagged causing us to pull apart.

"Kids of these days." Helena mocked, "In my time, kissing in open was seen as scandalous be it with your mate."

"Oh cut it mother." Aiden rolled his eyes as I blushed beet red from her words, "Your time was old and boring.'

"Yet still as romantic as ever." She winked before walking away from us and towards the castle.

"Well before you swallow each other's faces.' Willow smirked sending me a dirty wink, "Can you freeze my ice cream please?" She pushed out the cup for me and I rolled my eyes before collecting it and freezing it.

"It's so cool to have a friend with super powers." She chirped happily before collecting her treat and going off towards the castle.

"Now, I have you all to myself!" Lycus picked me up in his arms, "I missed you so much."

"You have been in my presence through out the day." I scoffed at him.

"Well, I missed you in my arms." He kissed my lips and I felt the sparks travel, "In my bed." He licked where his mark was causing me to curl my toes.

"Aiden." I moaned out as I curled his shirt with my fists. "If you keep moaning my name like that." He groaned, "I might take you out here in the open."

"You are so crude!" I gasped turning my face in his torso as red tinted my cheeks.

"You like crude." He said biting my ear lobe, "You did well today. Training with my mother has never been easy but you did remarkably well.

"Thank you." I smiled looking up at him. He smiled down at me and my insides curled at the sight, he was too damn good to be true, this handsome, big and powerful man was all mine and I couldn't stomach the thought of losing him for barely a second.

"You do know my birthday is coming up right?" He reminded me like he thought I forgot, how could I ever forget?

"I do." I mumbled, "And it is also the day of the hearing." I added as dread crept up my spine, "The council said it cannot be shifted."

"That is right." He dropped me to on my feet.

"Your day will be ruined because of me."

"Hey, don't think like that." He cradled my face in his hands, "We are having the party first and after that the hearing will proceed and everyone will be present,'"

"Hopefully, everything will go right." I said to him as I looked up at him. I felt guilt and dread, his day could be ruined because of me and what if Titan and Laya aren't given the punishment they deserve? What if that day is a total disaster?

"You know I can hear your thoughts right?Aiden raised his brows at me as he rubbed my cheeks, Stop over thinking Okay. Nothing will go wrong." He kissed my lips.
