Chapter 7

The sky slowly darkened. In the entire castle, other than Alexander's room which was using illumination crystals, the other places where using torches.

Illumination crystals are a type of crystals in the Azure Wind World, there were extremely expensive. Usually only nobles and other powerful cultivators are able to afford them, ordinary people had no access to illumination crystals. The only way to obtain illumination crystals was by finding underground illumination crystals mines, however illumination crystal mines are not easy to find . Alexander turned to look at Rose, who was standing beside his bed. He turned to look outside the window and realized it was already dark outside. He slowly sat up and shook his.

Just as Alexander sat on the bed, Rose immediately took his boots and was about to put them on him when Alexander quickly said

" Don't bother Rose,put them down I'll do it myself ".

Rose widened her eyes in surprise , but she said " Young Master let me do it, it's my job ".

It can be seen that the previous Alexander was used to be taken care of but the current Alexander was not used to this, " Forget it. I'll do such small things myself in the future". With that he snatched the boots from Rose and put them on.

Rose looked around Alexander in a daze. She felt Alexander today was unfamiliar. In the past Alexander could not even take off his boots, let alone wear them. He was always waited upon by a bevy of maids. Today he actually wear his own boots.

Alexander put on his boots and stood up. He turned to Rose who was still in a daze and said" Let's go and eat. I have something to tell Grandpa Watson over at dinner".

Although Rose thought that Alexander was strange today, she still agreed and led him to the dinning room. Rose knew that Alexander had not left his room since he arrived and was not very familiar with the layout of the castle. If she let him walk alone, he could definitely not find his way to the dinning room.

As soon as he left the room, Alexander was stunned. He curiously looked around. This castle was clearly an ancient castle . It had been built for a long time but it still looked quite sturdy. However, the style was very old. The interior of the castle gave a off a dark

and creeping feeling which makes Alexander uncomfortable.

When I have enough money, I will definitely tear down this castle and build a new one!.

Alexander silently commented in his heart.

Soon, Alexander noticed the torches on the corner of the walls. When he saw those torches and thought of the prices of the illumination crystals he immediately understood why there were used here.

Although Alexander did not know the price of common goods, he stills knows the price of high end product like illumination crystals. This was because such things were high end consumer goods that only people at the level of the previous Alexander's level could afford it, so he knew the price.

The dinning room was not that far from his bedroom. Soon, the two of them entered the dinning room. Apart from Watson, Julia and Gilbert, there was another man standing beside Gilbert. He was of the same stature as Gilbert. His gaze was sharp as an eagle eyes, when Alexander looked at the man he had the feeling that all his secrets had been exposed before the man. This man was called Kane. He and Gilbert were both subordinate of his father and they were extremely loyal to his father. Both of them were adopted by Alexander father, so when the Frost family was uprooted, they decided to abandoned their military post and follow Alexanderto this God forsaken land. They were both Knights at the level of Mystic Knight.

Seeing Alexander enter, they bowed and said

" Good evening, Young Master. Enjoy your meal ".

Alexander nodded his head and looked at the dinning table in the dining room. He saw that only his cutlery was there. Through Alexander's memories he knew that servants are not allowed to dine with nobles. They could stand aside and wait.

Alexander sat down and looked around the dinning room. The room was not that big , only thirty square metres. There was a long dinning table in the middle . The dinning table was covered with a purple velvet coloured tablecloth with golden designs on the edges. In addition, there were two candle holders on the middle of the dinning table, there were three candles on each candle holder.

There were ten chairs around the dinning table. The chairs were exquisitely curved, it was obvious that there were high end goods. There were torches placed in every corner of the dinning room Illuminating the entire room.

After looking around, Alexander turned to Watson and said, " Grandpa Watson sit downand join me. I have something to discuss with you after dinner".

Watson immediately bowed to Alexander and said, " Young Master, this won't do. We servants can sit with our Masters while they are eating, This the rule of the empire ".

Alexander snorted and said, " Rules are dead, people are people. The rules of the empire does not apply to us, since the empire has given up upon us why should we respect their stupid rules?.Let's not talk about them. Go get the cutlery and sit down with me. I have something to discuss with you later. If you won't eat, I won't eat either ".

Seeing Alexander stubborn expression, Watson knew he had no choice but to comply, he turned his head to Julia. Julia glared at him and said, " Why are you looking at me?, the Young Master hasn't eaten properly for a month. Do you want him to starve ".

As expected, to Watson, the well-being of Alexander was important than anything else.

Hearing what Julia said, he immediately turned his head and said " Then serve the food to everyone, I'll wait on the Young Master".

While Julia was away to serve the food.

Alexander turned to face Watson and said,

" Grandpa Watson, how much gold coins do we have now ".

Watson immediately stood up and replied,

" Young Master, we still have about a thousand gold coins left, but we don't currently lack supplies, so the gold coins can be used. "

Alexander quickly asked Watson to sit down and immediately said," Then when we came from the capital , did we used any carriages to bring things here? and what about the horses

pulling the carriages?.

Watson said," Young Master, our place is small and we don't have much production. Therefore, in order to save food as much as possible, we only got five horses, The carriages we used were all rented".

Alexander was stunned and immediately understood what Watson meant. Watson was trying to save as much as possible. It had to be known that a good horse was not just fed with grass. It had to be fed with some food. And they could not produce food at all, therefore they had to save as much as possible instead of raising horses they could not feed.
