,Chapter 3: The Great Desolate Region

When Alexander opened his eyes again, he had a completely blank look on his face. The Alexander of this world memories had already combined with his, making Alexander truly understand that he had transmigrated. It was the commonly seen soul possession.

However, there are nine empires that are publicly acknowledged as more powerful compared to the other empires. These empires are the biggest empires on the continent. And the Empire of Arcadina is one of the them but they are ranked last. For many years, the nine empires had sent various scholars to the Great Desolate Region to see if they could cure the land, however after researching for centuries without any results they abandoned it. The nine empires collectively owned the Great Desolate Region but when Lucas Landan made a decision to give this land of death to Alexander as his fief, the others empires readily agreed to give the Great Desolate Region to Alexander. What was use of a land that couldn't grow anything.

If this land was only the land of death, Alexander wouldn't be worried. As long as transportation is convenient, they could do some business, at least enough to support themselves. However, the Great Desolate Region is surrounded by a mountain range from all sides with only one entrance. By crossing the mountain range, one would reach one reached one of the seven forbidden places on the Azure Wind World, the Eternal Forest. The Eternal Forest is one of the seven forbidden places on the Azure Wind World, the Forest is the home of various terrifying magical creatures. The Eternal Forest had big trees that towered into skies, massive undulating mountain ranges. spanning across thousands of kilometers filled with magical and wild beasts. The forest was also filled with treasures and resources, sometimes adventurers and mercenaries took the risk of going into the forest to seek treasures. Wealth comes from danger, despite the dangers of the Eternal Forest people always brave the dangers to seek opportunities in the forest.

And what was even worse was that, during a period of time, they would always be monster tide, because the Great Desolate Region is near the Eternal Forest, as a result it the suffers the attacks of the monster tide.

Fortunately when the scholars of the nine empires came to research on the land, they built a castle on a valley near the entrance of the Great Desolate Region, however because it had been abandoned for a long time, it looked old and mottled and some of buildings collapsed. The moment Alexander opened his eyes,he felt someone beside him. He turned around and saw the old man he had seen when he first woke up was standing beside him.

" Yes Young Master," Watson replied. He was surprised by Alexander's calmness.

Watson was staring blankly at Alexander and wondered what had gotten into him to make him so calm. The first thing he saw was a castle-like building. He lived on the top floor and could see everything outside clearly. This was a Western- style castle. In the front, he could see a large square and the walls that surrounded the castle. Outside the castle all he could see was boundless black soil, with no trees or vegetation growing on sight making the land looking lifeless and desolate.

Alexander then looked to the sides and saw that the land was surrounded by tall desolate mountains. There were some trees that we're sparsely growing on the mountains, other than these trees, there were only weeds.

He retracted his gaze and looked at the castle that belonged to him. This castle was not small but it was the biggest castle he had ever seen. It could not be a problem for thousands of people to live in it. However, it seemed it had been a long time since someone lived in it. There were cracks and moss on the walls and some of the buildings had already collapsed.

" So this is the infamous Great Desolate Region, the land of death huh," Alexander bitterly smiled.

Alexander quickly gathered his confidence. At least this expanse of land now belong to him. No matter he had to live good life and let those who harmed see it.

At this moment a voice suddenly sounded in his mind....
