Chapter 2: New World, New Identity

The moment Alexander fainted, foreign memories started to gush into his head. The information drilling into his was so massive that he thought his head was about to explode.

After what felt like eternity, Alexander woke up in a daze and started going through the new memories that had just been instill into his brain.

" So I have transmigrated huh?."Alexander lamented with a bitter face.

In these memories, the world he was currently on is called Azure Wind World. This is a world of swords and magic, this is a world where the strong prey on the weak. A world where you can do anything as long as you have the strength to back it up. Alexander also realizes that in this world almost everyone pursues strength, as long as you have you are strong enough, fame, wealth and beautiful women, you can have it all.

When Alexander was browsing through his predecessor's memories, he knew that there was a type of energy in this world called Mana, now this energy called Mana is everywhere. And there are two types of people who uses this type of energy.

The first category is a group of people called mages. Now mages use Mana to chant various types of spells called magic spells, which can deal a very disastrous strike, a single spell can blast mountain into smithereens. It is not easy to become a mage, one must have affinity to one of the elements that is: fire, water, wind, earth, space, light and darkness.

Mages are divided into different levels from lowest to highest, there are, Apprentice Mage, Senior Apprentice Mage, Mystic Mage, Legendary Mage, Saint Mage and Forbidden Mage. And each of the levels are further divided into nine realms.

The second category are warriors called Knights. The difference between a Mage and a Knight is that, Mages use Mana to to enhance their magic and cast spells. But Knights absorb the Mana energy in the atmosphere in to their bodies to enhance their various physical attribute to limit such as stamina,speed, endurance and strength and continuesly to break the limit of the human body. So Knight are physically stronger than Mages. A Mage would never engage in close combat with a Knight. A single swing of a sword from a knight can split a mountain, a single punch can change the weather. So Knights are always called the Gods of Slaughter on the battlefield. Knights are also divided into power levels, from lowest to highest. Knight Apprentice, Epic Knight, Mystic Knight, Legendary Knight, Saint Knight and Forbidden Knight. Each power level are also divided into nine realms.

Alexander noticed that, apart from the cultivation levels. This world is a thousand times bigger than Earth. There are six gigantic continent in the Azure Wind World. The smallest continent is a hundred times bigger than Earth. So you can imagine how big this world is. Azure Wind World host all kinds of races, there are the human race, the elves, dwarfs, mountain giants, the beast race and many more, because of their differences in views and interest , there were always conflict among themselves.

In these memories, his name was also called Alexander Frost. He was born in a family of Knights in the Empire of Arcadina on the Sky Continent the smallest of the six continent in the Azure Wind World. His family served the Empire of Arcadina for six generations and was conferred the title of a Marquis. Unfortunately the family started to decline in Alexander's generation. Alexander was the scourge of the Imperial Capital of the Empire of Arcadina. In addition because his mother dotted on him a lot he became more lawless. Always visiting brothels, he bullied anyone he found an eyesore and committed all kinds of atrocities. His father was also very protective of him and also always not in the family. His father was always at the borders guarding against Invaders.

But luck was not on his family because his father made one single mistake. The old king of the empire was going to kick the bucket , so the princes started to fight for the succession of the throne. His father had chosen the wrong side by supporting the first prince.

The old emperor was the 50th ruler of the Empire of Arcadina. He had ten sons and only five could fight for the throne. There were the first prince, the second prince, the third prince, the seventh prince and the ninth prince.

According to the laws of the Empire of Arcadina, only the children of the empress and the imperial concubines could inherit the throne. However not all the children can inherit the throne. Only the princes who had done a meritorious service to the empire and had the of a Duke is eligible to fight for the succession of the throne.

The imperial family's children would have the title the of an earl the moment there were born. If they cannot contribute to the empire , they would be an earl for the rest of their lives, moreover they would be an earl without a fief. Only by contributing to the development of the empire can one increase his title.

Of course it is impossible for the children of the empress and Imperial concubines to have the title of an earl. They would usually be conferred the title of a Duke and as long as they made enough contribution, they would be promoted to a grand Duke and finally an imperial prince. This way, they would have the chance to fight for the throne.

The five children who could inherit the throne were all imperial princes. Among them, the first and second prince were born to the empress. The third and seventh prince were born to imperial concubine Ashley. The ninth prince was born to imperial concubine Vivian and he was one of the weakest. On the Azure Wind World, nobles are divided In to low level nobles, middle level nobles and old noble family or high ranked nobles.

After so many years of development, the nobles had a huge role in the empire. Sometimes they could even influence the economic, social and political structure of the empire, especially those old noble family who had developed for thousands of years and dozens of generations. They are a force that can be reckoned with, even the imperial family is afraid to clash with them. It can be said that those old nobles are the core of empire power. Any low or middle ranked have to obtain their approval.

The Frost family also wanted to enter the ranks of a the high ranked nobles. The Frost family was rising quickly because the 59th emperor was a sworn brother of Alexander's father. But since the current old emperor succeeded the throne, it has not been easy for them, they were always suppressed by the old nobles. So the Frost family constantly support the new emperor to allow the family to develop.

Alexander's father supported the wrong side. He supported the first prince who was likely to succeed the throne but when the results were announced it was not the first prince who succeeded the throne. But the seemly weak and low profile ninth prince became the emperor. The first prince was sentenced to death, the first prince faction did not have a good end either. Alexander's father was sent to prison and later died for no apparent reason. His mother was heartbroken and later also died of depression. The crimes and atrocities Alexander committed was dugged one by one. However, Alex was spared because of the existence of Watson and the others, the empire didn't want to offend two Mystic Mages without concrete evidence. In addition the emperor had to show some magnanimity. Therefore he dealt with Alex lightly. He lowered the Marquis title Alex would have inherited to a viscount and changed their fertile land to the Great Desolate Region . Moreover Alex Knight cultivation was crippled.

What was even worse was that, the emperor banished Alex and others from the capital to the desolate region, there were ordered to leave the imperial capital within six days and they were not allowed to leave their fief in the next five years.

The current emperor of the Arcadina Empire, the ninth prince, Lucas Landan had to treat the Frost family like this because they supported the first prince. So he has to suppressed the first and third prince factions.

Moreover, the reason why Lucas was successful in inheriting the throne was because some of the old Noble family supported him, in addition the old nobles didn't like the Frost family, so they were pressuring him to punish them. So he had to please the old nobles family by destroying the Frost family.

The reason why Lucas did not kill Alex was because Watson offered the Frost family cultivation technique to him. The Frost family cultivation technique the Battle Dragon technique was a tier nine cultivation technique.

Another reason why Lucas did not kill Alex was because he was afraid of Watson's strength. Watson also took an oath that they would not step in to the imperial capital again.

The reason why Watson did not try to sve Alexander's father was because he thought Lucas would not kill him. However he did not expect Lucas to kill Alexander father including all those who supported the first and third prince. By the time Watson heard the news it was too late, Alexander's father was already dead.

Another reason why Watson gave Lucas the Frost family cultivation technique Battle Dragon technique was because Alexander cultivation had been crippled and he wouldn't cultivate anymore.

As its turned out, he seemed to have made the right call, because if he had not handed over the cultivation technique, Alexander could not probably walked out of the capital alive.

To add salt to their injuries, they were attacked the moment they left the capital, because Alexander was crippled and was seriously injured, he directly fainted when one of the attackers shot him with a poisoned arrow. He died after which gave Alexander Frost from Earth took control of his body.
