Life On The Road

Life on the road can be lonely, pretty tiring, and of course very demanding. Such had always been Louis'. Being a member of one of the biggest sensations in the pop world, starring on every magazine cover and singing alongside the hottest talents in the whole universe also came with it. What lay beneath all that, another man with a recurring longing for something more, something much more fulfilling.

But his schedule didn't even allow him to sleep, any thoughts of anything else were beyond the horizon. He had a family back home, a family he couldn't meet. Video calls were just not doing it anymore, what with the network and sound issues over them as well. His mother, the ever-supporting character in his life, was chronically sick. His grandparents were being the rock she needed but that didn't, in any way, reduce the sense of responsibility Louis felt he ought to be standing for. But then again, he had a contract, which he had promised to his mum, he would swear by anyhow. It was upon him to not let his family go down for even her sake because "those who keep living count in the long run," were her words. Louis had felt distraught to hear her say that but even he couldn't counter the validity of the reality which had been bestowed upon their family.

And so he continued to sing, make heaps of money and giving it all to a company which had promised him good things. By this time, he was made well-assured of the fact that by 'good things', they didn't even remotely mean either mentally or emotionally.
