Oh For The Love of Astarte

Lydia stood against her locker as she waited for her best friend, Alex, the two were basically inseparable and always together, making it incredibly hard for Damien to spy on her. He knew that there was more to her than she showed and he sure as hell was going to find out. Now that she was alone it was much easier for him to stare at her unnoticed or so he thought. Lydia was getting annoyed by the second and she could feel his stare."Oh for the love of Astarte!" she groaned in frustration and whipped around taking Damien by surprise, he frantically averted his gaze in an attempt to cover his obvious staring. Lydia grunted in annoyance and marched towards him ready to punch him to oblivion when Alex arrived and tugged her away. She fussed a little about him being late but he made her smile with his funny antics and they both went to class.

Damien sighed in relief when he finally saw them leave, honestly, he didn't know why he was stupid enough to stare at her openly, this was quite an unhealthy obsession and he needed to clear his head and relax. He wandered around the school and finally found a dark and concealed corner that was perfect for him. "Peace at last!" he said to no one in particular, his peace was however short-lived and soon his nightmare of a girlfriend Lilith came bouncing towards him, he groaned loudly which made her stop in her tracks. A frown etched on her face and she crossed her arms " Oh, so now I'm frustrating, looks like staring at Lydia made you tired." she complained, "Am I not good enough for you or is your standard so low that you're after some goody two shoes." she continued in her whiny voice, she went on and on insulting his poor taste until he snapped and trust me when I tell you that an angry Damien is quite dangerous. His eyes turned all the way black and his voice got deeper, Lilith realized her mistake a little late and started to back up when she saw him in his demonic form, she let out a short scream and started to run in the opposite direction but Damien was faster, he blocked her path and growled at her causing her to fall down. Suddenly a powerful voice stopped him in his tracks, he quickly turned around to see Lydia behind him looking as angelic as ever but there was this dark and commanding aura about her that made him calm down. " Damien, I know you are in there somewhere, so come on gain back control, this isn't hell, it's school so calm the hell down," she commanded and much to her surprise he calmed down and slowly gained consciousness of his surroundings. He looked utterly surprised that he listened to her, the guards quickly came to the scene, p and went to take Damien away but much, to everyone's surprise, Lydia stopped them. " I heard the entire conversation. I believe Ms Lilith here has provoked him so either you punish both of them equally or leave him here." she reasoned with the guards and they nodded at her, uncuffing Damien and giving Lilith a warning who was bitching about almost being killed. Lydia dispersed the crowd that had gathered, she nodded at Damien one last time before joining Alex. Damien took a deep breath before making his way back to his dorm but before going he looked back at Lilith and said:" It's over Lilith, guess your parent named you perfectly." Lilith just stood there fuming as Damien disappeared, there was only one person she blamed and that was Lydia, that bitch not only calmed Damien down but also had most of his attention. She was going to wipe her out by staying true to her name, she was going to show everyone her inner demon and take over the realm.

"Lyds.. how did you calm Damien down," Alex asked he was still shaken up by the encounter and what surprised him, even more, was that an Angel had successfully commanded a Demon. "I don't know, I just asked him to take back control and he just..... listened to me," she answered honestly while shrugging her shoulders. "Lyds no angel has ever successfully commanded a demon, only Hades or someone from his bloodline can do that," Alex whispered this made Lydia stop in her tracks and look at Alex in surprise. "Maybe he was more conscious than we think and realized that it was school. It's probably nothing. Let's just go to lunch I'm starving." she answered smiling. Alex smiled back and nodded, deep down Lydia was kind of disturbed by it but she shook it off, it was probably nothing. Oh, how wrong she was!
