Judgement of The Heart

In a serene garden, blanketed in snow, reveals cleared pathways leading to stone benches and frozen fountains, attesting to the meticulous care bestowed upon this winter haven.

This garden was of course Mr Reverie's garden.

And Mr. Reverie could be seen sitting on a bench, engrossed in what seemed to be a web novel.

The garden was blanketed in snow, except for where Mr. Reverie was seated.

"Nice, All Deities Horror updated," Mr. Reverie remarked.

"Huh?" Mr. Reverie looked toward the direction of Mrs. Bennet's class.

"Two mana zones have been released," Mr. Reverie stated.

"You should probably go check it out," Pyra suggested, lading right beside him.

"Meh, I'm gonna read this new chapter. The author hasn't uploaded in a while anyway," Mr. Reverie said, his attention returning to his phone.

"You're really going to prioritize a web novel before the safety of your students?" Pyra asked.

"Yep."

'The two mana zones were in Mrs Bennet's classroom, I'm sure she will be fine anyways' Mrs Reverie thought.

"Mana zone, Garden of judgement" Adrian released his mana zone.

Adrian wore an expression that blended excitement and madness.

The ice that had covered the entire classroom evaporated at an insanely fast pace.

Flowers of every kind bloomed, replacing the ice.

The flowers also began to give off an distinctive scent that made one's muscles and mind relax.

The cold temperatures promptly returned to ambient levels.

Mrs. Bennet's face shifted from anger to utter horror.

The flowers reflected the last golden rays of the sun, creating a beautiful sight.

Not so beautiful for Mrs. Bennet though; she was bounded by black chains.

"Agh!" Mrs Bennet tried to free herself from the chains, but it proved to be ineffective.

The chains didn't even move an inch.

Mrs Bennet resorted to using mana. But when she was about to use it, she made a shocking discovery.

Mrs. Bennet's eyes widened.

"My mana… WHAT DID YOU DO?!!" Mrs. Bennet screamed.

She couldn't feel her mana anymore. She couldn't even use it.

Worry and fear crept up on her.

And Adrian, in all of this, merely smirked and put his hands in his pockets.

"Nothing much, just sealed it for a while. But you should be concerned about yourself more." Adrian answered, looking at Mrs Bennet's now disheveled hair.

Her eyes were that of a wild beasts and her appearance had changed.

Adrian had also changed in appearance. His green hair now had a noticeable amount of white hair on its end.

His green eyes reflected the sun's golden rays, giving the illusion that his eyes were shining golden.

Suddenly, a scale began to rise from the ground, right behind Mrs. Bennet.

The scale was simply enormous.

It had some ancient markings on it, it seemed more like magic circles than ancient text though.

The scale rose slowly, purposefully increasing the tension and shock.

Mrs. Bennet felt something coming up her throat. The thing was moving and beating, as if it was alive.

Whatever it was, it was extremely painful for Mrs. Bennet to puke out.

Mrs. Bennet puked out… her heart.

Mrs. Bennet's heart pounded, as if it hadn't been brought out of Mrs Bennet's chest.

The heart floated up towards the scale's right pan and was gently placed there.

Now, Mrs. Bennet herself was brought up towards the left pan of the scale.

The scales began to shift; the right pan, where Mrs. Bennet's heart was placed, went up.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Bennet's pan went down.

Mrs Bennet weighed more then her own heart

As this happened, Adrian named the event.

"Garden of judgement, First Judgment, Judgment of The Heart"

"You have been deemed unworthy and a sinner by the KING" A voice called out.

The voice seemed to come from every direction, but if one tried, they could locates the location of the voice.

Mrs. Bennet looked around, trying to locate the voice.

As her eyes landed where the voice came from, she was utterly shocked and horrified.

The voice came from her own heart

"No, No, this isn't happening! This is supposed to be a dream!" Mrs. Bennet exclaimed.

"Has, Haa" Mrs Bennet took deep and slow breaths to try to calm herself down

"Yo, when you done?" Lucian asked, unfazed by the situation.

"Soon," Adrian said as he pulled his hands out from his pockets.

"Just gotta finish things up."

"Oi! Mrs. Beeni or whatever, I'll let you live if you don't report our absence." Adrian proposed a deal.

Mrs. Bennet looked up toward Aphos.

"Are you serious?"

"Yep, we can even make a soul contract on it," Adrian said.

"O..Okay." Mrs. Bennet obliged. She had no other choice. What could she even do?

Her life was literally in his hands.

Adrian had a satisfied smile.

"Good," Adrian said as he extended his hand.

Mrs. Bennet also did the same.

A soul contract is when both souls make an agreement.

It is usually used to tame wild beasts. When a soul contract is made, it cannot be removed.

Unless the period of the soul contract ends, of course.

"I, Adrian Silvanus, promise to let you live if you don't report our absence for this whole year." Adrian said.

"I, Evelyn Bennett, agree to this contract." Mrs. Bennet agreed.

"Ding!" Adrian heard a system notification.

[Soul Contract has been made! {Expand to see details}]

Adrian smirked once he saw this.

"Sweet! Nice making deals with ya!" Adrian said, cheerfully.

"Whoa, it actually worked," Gabriel said, amazed.

"Hehe, told ya," Adrian responded

.

While Adrian and the others talked, Mrs. Bennet was force-fed her heart.

Once her heart had been restored to its original position, the chains holding her disappeared.

The flowers around started to die at an extremely fast pace.

"Hey, what about our…" Lucian was going to ask what they were going to do with their classmates, but he stopped once he saw all of his classmates asleep.

Adrian smirked.

"You didn't think those flowers were for nothing, did you?" Adrian explained with a question.

Lucian's eyes widened.

"Is there anything you can't do?" Adbeel asked.

"Hehe, nope!" Adrian smirked, enjoying the moment.

"Now let's scram before 'he' comes here," Adrian suggested.

"Okay."

"K."

"Let's go then!"

After the event, Lucian and the others mainly left the scene.

Leaving behind the still-traumatized Mrs. Bennett.

'My heart talked and betrayed me?' Mrs Bennet asked herself.

'Did I just get defeated by a 16-year-old kid?' Mrs. Bennett asked herself.

Mrs. Bennett tried to fix her disheveled hair and tried to ignore what just happened.

She was taught that some things are meant to be forgotten.

Fixing her hair proved to be ineffective though.

Of course, this didn't mean she had forgotten what had just happened; she was silently plotting to take her revenge.

Although, one thing was for sure, she needed time to process what just had happened.

"Uhhh, Mrs. Bennet? What happened?" Clara, the first one to wake up, asked Mrs. Bennet for information.

"Nothing, I just sent those idiots to the principal." Mrs. Bennet lied.

"Do not worry about them though; focus on yourself more. Class is dismissed for today," Mrs. Bennet said as she walked over to the podium.

'What happened to her?' Clara though, looking at Mrs Bennet's hair.

Clara and Mrs Bennet made eye contact.

Clara immediately checked the clock on the classroom wall to ignore Mrs Bennet's gaze.

[5:50 pm]

'Wait…' Clara thought recalling that her class had not ended yet.

"But there are still 40 minutes left until…"

"Do I have to repeat myself?!!" Mrs. Bennet screamed, waking up some students in the process and cutting Clara off.

"…okay.." Clara agreed, stuttering a little as she spoke.

Sorry for not updating in a while, was busy with the family.
