Tournament.

Soon they were done with dinner and just discussed various matters among themselves while they enjoyed dessert.

"Ho Josh, I forgot to tell you the battle heart tournament is starting soon do you want to participate or does shadow wants to?" Alistair said.

"So which one of you have registered?" He asked.

All of them answered his question by raising up their hands.

"William even you too?" Josh was surprised when he saw William's hand.

"I didn't want to participate at first but, I heard Carlos is gonna be there!!!" He said as he tightened his grip.

Hearing him Josh gave him an understanding look.

"Mmm, for all of you to join the winning price must be something...." Josh said as he looked at Alistair.

"About that...., I have no idea what the winning price will be as they kept it confidential, but for the higher ups to make big movements concerning this tournament, the winning price can't be bad at all!" Alistair shrugged.

"Alright it would be a shame it we didn't participate!" Josh smiled.

"And by we you mean?" Maeve asked.

"That's right I mean our normal identities and the shadow group!"Josh stated.

"I told you he will say that, he is so arrogant!" Sliver snorted.

"Hey, don't blame me of Josh Gray meets Gold, I won't spare you!!!" Gerry said while pumping his fist.

"HaHaHa!!!" they all laughed.

The next day, Josh arrived at the front door of a large building, or you would rather say the stadium. Only this part was an extension of the gargantuan stadium.

He enjoyed the sight of the building for a moment before entering.

Once inside he made his way to the side which said registration, there were quite a number of people lined up there.

He joined the line and waited until his turn, luckily he didn't have to wait until it was his turn.

"Hello I'm here to join the tournament." he greeted and said.

"Ok, please fill in your name and information on that paper!" she said with out looking up as she was busy writing something.

"Alright" Josh said as he did what he was told.

"I'm done" he told her.

"Ok please put it among that group!" she said as she still continued her work.

He did so and left. Once he exited the building, he walked into a dark alley and changed his clothes.

This time, he wore a black hood and used a black scarf to cover his face except his eyes.

he wore casual dark blue clothes.

He put his hand in his pocket and walked out of the alley and straight into the building.

He arrived at the registration point and didn't even wait in line like the others, he passed all of the people who were lining up and walked straight to the counter.

This of course made the others infuriated and they started complaining saying he should go back!

But no one dared to step out and stop him, not because they were afraid of him, but because that will lose their line if they do so.

Josh ignored them and arrived at the counter. and placed a letter on the counter in front of the staff.

The staff was actually annoyed as her work had been interrupted so she wanted to caution the person who had interrupted her, but, her eyes strayed to the letter and she saw a seal that made her shocked so she hurriedly raised her head.

But Josh was already gone.

"Hey" she said as she exerted her pressure and the registration area fell quiet instantly.

"Did anyone see who just dropped this letter?" She asked calmly.

"N...no" they all shook their head like tamed rabbit.

"I see" she said as she called another companion, to take care of the registration, while she took the letter and entered another room.

"Shadow wants to enter this tournament, this is interesting"

Currently, Josh was peacefully taking a stroll as he thought.

'The tournament is going to start in seven days, I should have ample time to prepare'

Josh registered as shadow and also himself, many would think of it as crazy and that he pose serious risk of exposing himself.

This is right as if he pitted against him self, there would be great suspicions about him being shadow if he doesn't show up, and if one of him is injured in a fight, it might show and the other.

But the truth is the mundane stuff like that is a very easy to solve problem for him.

The reason he did it in particular is because if the watchful eyes of those big families.

They will do a very solid in investigation those who didn't participate and have the ability to.

This is one of the things he is trying to avoid at all costs.

Plus if he registered as shadow he might closer to winning that price, not that those big families won't get in his way, but it would be more worst if he did so as Josh, as those families would try to remove weaklings like him very fast.

But for shadow, they would be saving their trump cards planning a more easy way to take him down.

With this, he might even be able to form a scheme to take out some of those trump cards down.

"Alright, let's get started!!!"

Meanwhile,

Those families had already received word that shadow would participate in the tournament along with his crew, they also got word that another nemesis would participate, and those two are a threat to them in this tournament.

So in their various houses, they started to develop plans on how to deal with this problem.

some really close family decided to even form a united front against them.

"Just you wait, this tournament would be your end..... Shadow...."

Soon, a week flew by uneventful.

The tournament arrived and it was held in one of the most famous stadium in gold city, the orbit.

This stadium was huge enough to hold about one million people with out a problem. In fact with the new space expanding technology, holding 500,000 more shouldn't be a problem.

Currently, it was filled to the brim with spectators who kept cheering it was really lively both inside and outside.

In fact the whole city would be busy watching this tournament, as it was very reputable but it still pale in popularity to some other tournaments.

The stadium had a place specially prepared for those big wigs.

They looked calmly into the stadium waiting for the tournament to start while chatting among each other.

There was also the participants area, and currently various people were gathered there.

Famous faces an infamous ones sat and even made conversations with each other.

Josh and his team were there normally too. chatted with them selves and other participants occasionally.

"Hey, do you think shadow will come?"

"Yep, I got info that both shadow and chaos is coming!!!"

"Men, then this is going to be a tough tournament!"

Heard this discussions and could only smile wryly.

'I knew that bastard would join!'

"Yo Josh!!!" a familiar voice greeted.

"Carmin!" he said through a forced smile.

"My, my, you didn't die in that?" Carmin said with a smile.

"Mmm, I think you need to improve your dogs" Josh said with a roll of his eyes and they settled on the two figures behind him.

"Your new dogs?" he asked with a mocking tone.

"Hey, who are you calling a dog!!" Barked a robust individual.

"How dare you insult the Salt family children? get on your knees and beg for mercy or else don't blame me for any consequences!!!" an average looking female shouted.

"Tch, your dogs are really loud, didn't you train them." Josh said as he rubbed his ears with his smallest finger.

"Sigh, they are my cousin's, Camela and Chuck" Carmin said with a helpless sigh.

" Ho, so you are baby sitting..." Josh said with an understanding look.

"Hey you guys are noisy, come let's go" Carmin said as he dragged them away in their ranting.

"I'll see you on the battle field" Carmin didn't forget to flash his signature mischievous grin at Josh as he walked away.

"Don't worry, will settle our grievances, Chaos."
