Gathering Interests

After Red was disarmed literally, Venom fled and the base fell to the hands of the five. They then separated to find where the survivors of the mana surge were being kept..after all, Dead Echo didn't just have one base.

Only Tulip one of the three female awakened was left at the main base. "I hope I find someone interesting it'll be fun to have a junior bro or sis at the academy"

Meanwhile, Pel and Tessa had already broken the lock and let the others out but after seeing Pel they didn't know how to react.

"There's nothing to worry about, I don't attack those who have no ill intention towards me" Pel clarified to make them feel better but his explanation did not help.

The atmosphere grew tense and Tessa had to interfere by reminding them of their status so they kept their wariness aside for now and decided to escape first.

"Ito, can you check what is going on outside?" Pel asked.

Even though they could not see him, the group accepted Ito was real...or at least they forced themselves to believe so.

[The leader has already been captured]

"So fast, who are these newcomers?" Pel then turned to the others. "Are awakened of the government supposed to be good or bad?"

"I don't know but anything is better than our current choice" Tessa said.

[Host I sense something wrong with the walls]

Pel frowned "Scan and tell me what you found"

[There's an unidentified string of energy moving in between the walls]

'Unidentified huh?'

"Come out you've been found out" Pel said indifferently.

The others looked at the sides but found no one but they still kept their guard up in case.

"Eh you could actually spot me?" a voice resounded with no apparent direction and then a lady clad in a black uniform appeared. "I wanted to observe a bit more"

"You mean spy, which is very rude by the way" Pel said.

"Pel I think it's best you stay quiet" Tessa whispered and Pel only shot her a glare.

He then ignored her and turned to the lady. "Who are you and where are you spying on us?"

The young lady only chuckled. "Kingsley would love you, I have a question for you, how did you discover me"

Pel raised a brow but decided to answer anyway. "You should have stayed put then I'm sure you wouldn't have been discovered by Ito"

The young lady smiled. "Is that your name, Ito?"

"No, Ito is my..."

Tessa covered Pel's mouth with her hand, she was practically begging him with her eyes for him to keep quiet.

The young lady was very curious but she decided to stop for now, since she could always find it later anyway.

"Well you don't have to stress yourself about escaping anymore, help is on the way... and by the way, you can call me Tulip" Tulip said placing her hand on her waist which highlighted her hips.

Her shape is one we refer to as a fully developed young lady, Pel smiled but honestly he had no idea why he found it pleasing to the eyes.

He didn't even restrain his eyes from ogling at her.

"Mind how you use those eyes boy, you do not want to lose them" Tulip warned with a small smile.

Pel was confused by her threat.

[Host seemed to have been fascinated by this female and stared too long which would be better described as ogling at her]

"Wait what?" Pel regained his sense, that has to be one of the disadvantages this body has, I have seen many species she can't compare to"

"Who is he talking to..." Tulip turned to the others.

"He does this all the time, so we've gotten used to it" Flora explained.

Tulip's friendly attitude made them calm down a bit and they were at least not afraid to speak anymore.

'Is it perhaps an alter ego, this boy just keeps getting interesting, I must have him before the others decide to set their sights on him'

As Tulip said, few hours later, transportation arrived but Tulip offered Pel and the others to ride with her instead, they accepted...or let's just say besides Pel, non of them was bold enough to reject anyway.

Tulip was being a calm lake and it was best not to cause any ripples.

Tulip brought them to meet the other Awakeneds and each one had a teenager standing at their side except a pale-looking female awakened.

"Seriously Winx, no one?" Tulip asked surprised.

"None of them was interesting enough for me to be their guardian" the pale awakened known as Winx said. "You on the other hand seem to have a flock with you"

'A flock?' Pel's face turned weird but as if Tessa knew he was about to do something stupid, she pinched him.

*HISS*

"Hey what's with you?" Pel shouted at Tessa.

"Right" Tulip chuckled. "Only that boy is mine, they seem to be close so I didn't wanna separate them"

"What so special about him?" a male awakened with blue hair asked.

"What is special about your pick?" Tulip redirected but somewhere in her mind:

'Jeez I forgot to ask what his ability is...never mind we'll find out when we get back'

After a few exchanges of words, they finally set out on a customized awakened van.

While the awakened chatted amongst themselves, the teenagers only secretly observed each other without making any conversations.

Pel wasn't even observing anybody as one particular person was making him feel very uncomfortable.

Winx never took her eyes off him and every time Pel turned to see who was looking at him he would find her.

Her gaze was so deep it was like she could see beyond his flesh.

He couldn't take it anymore and stared right back at her. "Why are you ogling at me"

The atmosphere froze, Tessa facepalmed while the others stared at him in shock. Some even pitied him and shook their heads, only Winx just raised a brow with one thought in her mind.
