Test

"Very interesting" Winx said with a small smile.

Now the four awakened were even more shocked, Winx was smiling.

"What's wrong Winx, you're leaving us?" the second male awakened with black hair said and the next moment he slapped himself.

"Anyone wanna asked another stupid question?" Winx asked glaring at the male awakened.

"Come on don't embarrass him in front of the kid, Des was just caring"

"He is a kid" Winx said before focusing her attention on Pel again. "I want him"

Tulip raised a brow. "He's my pick remember"

"You already have Kingsley don't you, let me have him" Winx said.

"No. Pick anyone else" Tulip said with a frown. Tulip knew Pel was special and that was why she had picked him without even asking about his ability.

Winx's sudden change of heart proved her conjecture was right and there was more about him she didn't even know yet.

The other three awakened put on wry smiles as they watched Tulip and Winx fight over a teenage boy. The boy in question was also staring at them with a confused expression.

Pel was also curious as to why Winx suddenly wanted him...he knew it couldn't be because of his face...the thought alone was stupid.

"Winx what is so special about him?" Des asked while massaging his cheek.

"I can't touch him" Winx smiled.

The four awakened gasped before turning to Pel who had no idea what her sentence meant.

Wasn't it just about raising a finger and making it get in contact with someone else?

'Is she implying that she is lazy or does she mean something else I couldn't comprehend?' Pel thought.

"You mean..." Tulip paused.

"Yes, his blood is off limits like there is some kind of restriction holding me back" Winx explained.

"That is not possible, the only ones able to resist your control are those way more powerful than you are" Tulip said.

"Yeah, you just made Des slap himself" the last female awakened said, she had grey colored hair and blue eyes. Her smallish stature made her look like the youngest amongst the awakened.

"We all saw that Grace, there is no need to remind anyone" Des growled at her but she just chuckled.

"You are right but as you said, I can asses their blood but they are just too powerful and can resist my control...this boy here, I can't touch...not at all" Winx shook her head.

Tulip turned to Pel and was inwardly satisfied. 'Last time I picked great, this time I picked mega awesome'

"So like to you his blood is different" Des said.

Winx rolled her eyes since she knew his thoughts wouldn't take him far.

"Maybe a new kind of blood group" then he turned to Pel. "What are you, a V+, a Q perhaps or maybe a D+?"

"Someone shut that idiot up!" Winx shouted.

The rest of the journey was peaceful and in no time they reached their destination.

Tulip and the rest went to make their reports, leaving the teenagers alone in the waiting room.

Finally, Tessa had time to talk some sense into Pel and she didn't want to miss the chance so she dragged Pel off to a corner.

"Do you want to leave a normal life here?" Tessa asked with a serious expression.

Pel gave her a strange look.

"Answer me" Tessa demanded.

"Obviously I do" Pel nodded even though he thought she was acting weirdly.

"Then don't ever tell anyone about being an alien and certainly not about Ito...If you want to speak with Ito then be as discreet as possible" Tessa said.

"And why are you telling me this?" Pel asked, confused.

"Because you don't know what humans are like...not everyone is nice...some are so bad even cheese smells better" Tessa sighed. "Look I am not trying to control you and we might get separated later...also I don't like owing people"

After saying that she walked away leaving the confused Pel to think about her words.

Sometime later, Tulip and the others returned.

"Come on we'll be testing your abilities now," Tulip said and then they were led to the testing area.

They were then asked to form two lines, one for boys and the other for girls.

Coincidentally Pel's group was placed at the front. Pel was third on the male line while Tessa was first on to teat among females.

After Tessa entered the testing device the screen displayed one ball of light, indicating the presence of only one ability.

And then the properties of her element were displayed. Although they couldn't see what was written, they heard what the devices said loud and clear.

«Variant: Black Lightning (Corrossive)»

The five awakened we're surprised, and turned to Tulip who wore a smug smile even though she had no idea Tessa would turn out to be a Variant.

"Wow, you must have used up your luck for the entire year" Des said.

The next to take the test was Adam and because Tessa turned out to be a Variant, let's just say the others had high expectations of him.

Adam came back looking a bit down not knowing that the five awakened were also shocked. Space Elemtalist we're very rare, even more than Variants so they once again stared at Tulip suspiciously.

The reason for their excessive reaction was that if it turned out that all five got had such special abilities, she might even get a promotion and such quick promotions would only help her gain unwanted attention.

"I swear I had no idea...come on guys don't stare at me like that" Tulip sighed, she couldn't tell if this was a good or bad thing and the worst part is that Pel had not even been tested yet.

'What a hassle, I hope the other two are normal, I don't want to get called in for questioning'

Too bad her prayers weren't answered and after Flora entered the testing device the result shown made everyone freeze.

Even Winx had shock written all over her face.
