Hogwarts Express Part 1

"Thanks for the ride Mark" I said to the driver. Mom had work so she couldn't see us off sadly.

"No problem Alex. You and Harry enjoy your new school ok?" The man replied

I nod to him before myself and Harry go to look for our platform. All our supplies are in our trunks which are now on our necklaces so the only thing we are carrying is our owls. Harry named his Hedwig I named mine Athena. Envy is in the form of a Formosan odd-scaled snake wrapped around my arm under my sleeve. Formosan odd-scaled snake is an interesting snake species found in Taiwan and the southern islands of Japan. It's body, when exposed to light, shines in rainbow colors.

I snap my fingers in front of Harry's face to get his attention from the music, he absolutely adores the MMP after all it uses an array of runes for power so we don't have to change the batteries. Harry takes off the headphones "Yes brother?"

I roll my eyes and wrap my arm around his shoulder "Come we gotta find this platform um" looking at the ticket "9 and 3/4..." I guide Harry towards platform 9. Hm I don't see a 9 3/4 then again it might be hidden by magic. You would think Snape or Hagrid would have told us how to get to the bloody train!

"This way this way now. I swear every year packed with muggles!" I hear someone semi yelling and look over to see a bunch of red heads. Well that is awfully convenient if not totally irresponsible. I mean it is obvious that woman is a witch but she is openly talking about muggles while around muggles. That seems pretty stupid to me, even if they will just think she is coocoo.

I jerk my head towards them so Harry knows we are following them. Let's see red heads red heads... they must be the weasleys which mean those too... An impish grin makes it's way to my face

"Alex what are you planning now?" Harry says with a raised brow. Contacts were the best thing for Harry you can now focus completely on his eyes rather than those horrid glasses.

"Oh just a little thing I have been wanting to do to a certain pair of people from Hogwarts" I reach towards my trunk on my necklace and silently summon two small objects from within and place them in my pocket.

"Well alright. As long as you don't drag me into things again" He is probably remembering when I had him help me replace Ashley's whipped cream with shaving cream. Which resulted in a harsh scolding for him and a rather area focused beating for myself.

One of the red heads goes straight through a wall, literally straight through. Then the two twins go. "Ah so you just go through the wall to get to the train" I spoke up causing the woman to look at me. She sees us with our owls but nothing else.

"First years?" I nod my head "Oh it's Ron's first year too. Oh if you want you can go ahead, a bit of a running start if you are nervous."

I smile at her then I drag Harry with me into the wall. It was a bit strange. Kinda like walking through a wall of water, still a lot better than apparation. Me and Harry enter the train when I see the two twins putting up their trunks in one compartment. Oh this is going to be good!

"Hello there. Can you help me and my brother out? W-we don't know where to put our owls" I say in my most innocent and nervous voice. Harry knows something is up but plays around with it by looking nervous as well.

"Why Gred it appears to be ickle firsties"

"Indeed it does Forge"

"Well Ickle Firsties-"

"You can take your owls-"

"With you to your compartments"

While they are doing that twin speak thing I heard about I already reached into my pockets and put those items on my fingers. "Thank you oh um my name is Alex. Pleased to meet you uh Gred and Forge?" I hold out my hands, in an x so one hand is towards both of them. They reach out with a smile and take a hand each only to begin to shake as they got shocked and their hair is now all frizzy and standing up. I bust out laughing and so does Harry.

"Forge"

"Yes Gred?"

"I think we have just been had"

"And by Firsties no less"

"We will have to retaliate Gred or else we will lose our reputation"

I chuckle at this "Oh I wouldn't expect anything less. Consider this Loki's declaration of war on Messrs Gred and Forge"

Both the twins get impish grins along with myself "You're on!" Deep in Scotland a school of teachers shudder and all have a sudden urge to buy alcohol and calming draughts.

"But do tell us Loki-"

"What you used-

"To give us that-"

"Nasty shock"

I take the two rings off my fingers "Muggle Joy Buzzers. Though I added a simple Lightning rune to them so it would literally shock instead of just making one think they are shocked"

"You got us"

"With a muggle prank?"

I nod my head then I hand them the rings "A gift from one prankster to two others" They both grin as they take the rings

"We humbly accept this gift from Loki"

"and we shall give a gift"

"Of our on in due time"

With that we part from Gred and Forge and find our own empty compartment. After settling in I talk Harry into having the music on speaker mode, or sonorus mode as the magicals call it. Soon the compartment was filled with Welcome to the Jungle.

I allow Harry to to use the train ride as leisure time, meaning he can read comics or do whatever. After all I made sure to have him read and study at least for two hours every day at home. He decided to read some more of the comics he received for his birthday.

"Um hello" I glance over to spot the red haired boy, Ron I think his name was, standing there. I touch the music player with my wand to pause it. Now it does have buttons so it does work like a muggle cd player but the sonorus mode requires a wand

"Do you mind if I sit here? The other compartments are full?" Oh I highly doubt that but I nod nonethe less. He sits down on Harry's bench. "I'm Ron, Ron Weasley"

"I am Alexander Prince" I say giving greeting in return

"Harry Potter" Harry says

"What really? Do you have the" I quickly snap my fingers getting the boys attention

"Don't ask" I say with a slight aggressive tone in my voice. The red head seems cowed into submission.

"Anything from the trolley dearies?" A lady came up with a cart filled with what looks to be sweats. I look at Harry then the cart

"I already got something" Ron said holding up a badly wrapped sandwich "Oh she always forgets I don't like corned beef..."

"Well take five of everything please" I pay for the treats and we bring them into the compartment. Harry offers to share some with the red head. Harry is a nice boy after all.

"So um how do you two um know each other?" Ron asked while eating a gummy snake.

"Alex is my brother." Harry answers for me and I smile. It is nice when he calls me his brother.

"What? You have a brother?!" All he got was two nods in return "I never knew Harry Potter had a brother."

I shrug "Well half brothers. We share the same father but different mothers." The red head nods but I think he doesn't quite grasp it. The compartment lulls into awkward silence for a bit.

"This is scabbers. My brothers taught me a spell to turn him yellow. Wanna see?" I shrug and harry looks expectant as ron pulls out his wand.

"Excuse me" our door is pushed open and a brown haired girl stands there. Really can anyone just force open doors to private compartments? "Have you seen a toad. A boy named Neville lost one" She notices Rons wand "Oh are you doing magic? I practiced a few simple ones myself at home. Well let's see it then" I can't say I like this girls bossy I know better than you attitude.

"Um alright. Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow. Turn this stupid fat rat yellow." A flash of light comes from the wand and nothing happens.

"Are you sure that's a real spell? Well it's not a very good one is it"

"I hate to agree with miss brown hair over there but I think your brothers tricked you." I take out my Hawthorn wand and point it at scabbers "Crinus Muto" a flash of light hits scabbers and his fur turns from brown to bright yellow.

"What spell was that? That wasn't in the books we were supposed to get"

I smirk "That's because it isn't in our standard books. This is from a book called Transfiguration Party Tricks."

"But that isn't one of the books you were supposed to read!"

I hold up a hand to stop her from going further and was about to speak when a pudgy looking boy came over "Have you seen a toad I kinda lost one oh hey Hermoine"

I raised a brow "What is the toads name?"

"T-trevor" the boy says meekly. he seems to be lacking confidence but he is cute like a teddy bear oddly enough.

"Accio Trevor the Toad" I say waving my wand. After a few seconds a large brown toad flies in and I snatch it from the air. "Oh settle down." the toad croaks "Yes yes I am sure flying wasn't a fun experience for you but your boy wanted you" the toad croaks again as it sits in my palm "Fine i'll tell him." I look up to see the red haired boy, the brown haired girl, and the teddy bear looking at me like I am crazy. "I can talk to animals, bloodline gift" Neville and ron nod but the brown haired girl still looks confused. I hand trevor to the teddy bear "You should make him a muddy habitat. He doesn't like being out in all this dry air and light." The boy nods

"That spell wasn't in our school books"

I smirk slightly "Yes it was, it is in the fourth year school books"

"What!?" She practically screeches. Yea I am definitely not liking this girl so far. "How did you get fourth year books?!"

I roll my eyes "I bought them of course. Anyway are you two going to stand there all day or come in. Oui you, teddy bear" I grab the boys arm and I drag him to sit next to me "Here have a candy" I hand him a box of Ice Mice. He has no idea whats going on but decides to just sit down and be quite nonetheless.

"But but that's dangerous you can't just" I clap my hands making a loud enough noise to startle her out of her would be rant.

"Look uh Hermoine was it? I have been doing summoning charms since I was about eight years old. I just didn't know the proper incantation til about a month ago. Now if you would stop criticizing and judging everything we do you can come in and partake in some of the treats we have. If not I am sure there are other compartments who would love to have someone of your wisdom in them"

The girl huffs and stands there for a few seconds before reluctantly coming in and closing the door behind her.

"So um Alexander when will scabbers turn back to normal?" Ron asked

"About half an hour. I didn't make it permanent."

Harry offers Hermoine a chocolate frog "My parents are dentist. I don't think they would like me having so many sweets."

"Well Hermoine there are spells and potions for that sort of thing but a lot of wizarding candy is enchanted so the chances of it rotting your teeth is actually very low unless you eat enough to fill this whole compartment in a swift amount of time" she grumbles and eats her chocolate, I don't think she likes me very much.
