148. Aftermath

(Ashley's POV)

- Thirty-fifth. - I said, knocking out another werewolf who tried to attack me with my diamond fist.

- Thirty-nine. I'm winning. - Gwen said with a grin and fried three mummies at once with her fire.

- We'll see. - I yelled belligerently and sent out a wave of electricity amplified by my tattoo, which knocked out five aliens at once.

- Girls, this is not a game. Take the fight seriously. - Grandfather reproached us, being in his robot and trampling several aliens, after adding: - Especially since it's me who wins. Fifty-eighth.

I could only roll my eyes at his words. Of course, he wins, given the sheer number of cannons and other weapons Lex has placed on Jaeger. It's good that Grandpa is holding back, otherwise the ceiling would have collapsed on us long ago.

The rest of the aliens were defeated by Drew, Gwen and Grandpa. Just as we finished Doc brought Zak, Fisk and Komodo with him, who got lost just recently when we were chasing the aliens to the edge of the barrier.

We didn't hold back too much, and the entire NASA complex was now in ruins, especially bad in places where there wasn't much room for combat. It's good that Gwen took care of the safety of all the hostages, as her abilities are perfect for this.

- Yeah, dealing with the aftermath is always the hardest part. - Lex said with a sigh, who will deal with all this, as always.

- Okay, first, Gwen, use your cleansing spell on Doc, Drew, Zack, Fisk, and Komodo to remove the rest of Hyde's formula. You will no longer need this power. - Lex ordered as he entered boss mode.

Gwen just nodded and cast her spell, which enveloped the Saturday Family in white light and soon they became human again, without any alien signs.

Zak was clearly disappointed by this, which was not the case with Doc, who clearly didn't enjoy being the stupid animal he called Rath.

We all nodded, and Lex and Gwen went to fix the complex, which was really huge and couldn't be done with a single spell. After allowing the Saturdays to rest a little, as they were tired after the disappearance of the effects of the formula, Grandpa and I began to collect all the aliens in three different piles.

With the Saturdays getting in on the action, things went faster, and we got all four hundred aliens just as Gwen and Ashley returned.

Doc and Grandpa went to get their vehicles, and we began to carry the aliens to New Mexico, where Vaalet, Mr. Green and Kai were already waiting for us, who were standing at the destroyed lighthouse. Although, I did the main work, nobly to my telekinesis.

- I know how much you want to go with them. You only stayed because of me. Now you can safely spend the rest of the summer with your friends on a journey through the country, and not languish with me in this desert. - said Mr Green with a smile, kissing his granddaughter on the forehead.

Watching this beautiful emotional scene, Fisk again could not help himself and began to cry. Lex was right when he said he was too sensitive.
