Genosha (Hammer Bay I) Part 21

Alex Wayne POV

The Sentinels.

A deadly weapon created for the sole purpose of hunting mutants.

A natural enemy.

But right now, a powerful ally of the mutants.

The only thing that makes a Sentinel a danger to mutants is their programming and the mutant detector within them.

Riri's idea was to modify their systems and remove the mutant detector.

Which turned the Sentinels from a natural enemy of mutants to a killing machine that will only follow orders and exterminate what we wish it to destroy.

Seeing how this girl managed to undo what must have taken Bolívar Trask decades made me happy, since that idiot must be furious about it and would surely die of rage if he knew that the culprit was a 14-year-old girl.

All week, I wasn't just saving mutants from other cities.

But I was also taking over the Sentinel factories.

Once the production finished.

We were ready and headed towards the capital, Hammer Bay.

Surely those idiots from the capital must be scared.

As we approached the capital, the sky darkened due to the number of Sentinels heading towards us from the capital.

"There must be about the same number of Sentinels as we have" Pietro said.

"What do we do, Alex?" Polaris asked me.

"Send our Sentinels" I said.

Hearing my words, Riri orders our Sentinels to attack.

Our sentinels rise into the air and begin their attack.

What happened next was a mutual massacre.

The Sentinels sent by the capital had a larger number but the mutants and my team were enough to finish them off.

After a three hour battle, we finished off all the enemy Sentinels.

Seeing that the battle was easy, I understood that those bastards escaped from Genosha.

When we enter the capital, the place is in chaos, robberies and attacks occur.

Seeing this, with a cold voice I say:

"Anyone who is involved in causing chaos, whether mutant or human, I want them to be stopped"

Upon hearing my orders, the mutants that came with me got down to business.

These mutants have a lot of respect for me because of what I accomplished all week.

Now that we've taken the capital, they obey my orders without flinching.

"We finally made it" Mystique said.

"Yeah, but now we're responsible for their safety, right Alex?" Wanda said.

"You're right, this is only the beginning of my plans, what comes now will be more difficult" I said.

"It's true, once the world finds out what happened here, many will try to attack us" Emma said.

She was right, we will be enemies of the world but never mind, I have ways to work it out.

After all, I have a promise to keep and something so simple won't stop me.
