Against the World Part 2

The people of the place fell silent.

When the members of the United Nations settled down, they began the meeting.

"First of all, we appreciate that you, Alex Wayne, have come to this meeting" the secretary general said.

"It is an honor to be present at this meeting" I told him.

Nodding his head, the secretary general continues:

"This meeting is intended to clarify the acts committed by Alex Wayne in the country of Genosha"

Those words produced a small uproar in the surroundings.

Wanda felt upset too but Rogue quickly calmed her down.

"For me there is no problem if you want to talk about my actions but that's not all, right?" I asked the general secretary.

"You are right, that is not all. We want you to stop the production of the weapon called Sentinel and destroy those that are already in activity, hand over the criminal Magneto, resign from the position of governor of Genosha and return the American citizen Riri Williams to her country of origin"

Who answered my question was the deputy secretary general.

Listening to his words, I understood their plans.

"If I resigned my post as governor, who would take my place?" I asked him

The members of the United Nations are surprised by my carefree attitude, but the secretary general still responds:

"The government of Genosha, before your rule, was governed by a council, so we will give them back their position and allow them to rule again"

"Right now, we have a representative from that council, Dr. Bolivar Trask"

Once the Secretary General has finished speaking, Bolivar Trask approaches and joins the meeting.

"Thank you for receiving my requests, secretary general" Trask said as he joined the meeting.

The people in the place are surprised.

Seeing their doubts, the general secretary explains:

"Although Mr. Trask has lived in the United States, his birthplace is Hammer Bay, Genosha"

"Due to his skills, he returned to his country to be part of the Genosha Council"

The people in the place finally understood.

I raised my eyebrow at his words.

It seems that he has come prepared but it doesn't matter, I know that someone is pulling the strings in the shadows, unfortunately I don't know who it is.

Seeing how things were going at this meeting put a smile on the face of one person in the audience.

This person is Cameron Hodge.

The former leader of Genosha. During the days of Alex Wayne's invasion of Genosha, Cameron had left Genosha for an important meeting with an acquaintance; that acquaintance was Nathaniel Essex.

Before he could do anything, Genosha had already changed ruler, which infuriated him and he wanted to go get back what he considered his.

But a call from Bolivar Trask made him change his mind, if he went, he would only find death.

Because the new governor had the support of the mutants and controlled the Sentinels.

This left him helpless, all he could do was trust the United Nations. Using some lies he addressed the people's fear of a country full of mutants forming.

Now he just hoped his plan would work.
