Bet Completed

Tyler agreed to the condition of Quin, it was a bet he wouldn't lose.

Plus, he has a double objective as to why he decided to use his power to clean the room. First was to shorten the time, and second is to test If the perpetuator was near him.

There was a possibility that the curse user doesn't belong to the university but managed to sneak in and target the book.

Letting out such energy inside the room where the book was originally found would surely alert the curse user.

If by chance a few seconds or minutes after he let out his energy to perform shamanism, a curse energy starts to infiltrate the library. This would mean that the culprit was within the bounds of the university.

It would take a long time before Tyler's energy to go spread to the town as curse energy was apparent, that means the culprit sensed him inside the school.

Tyler thought for a bit after agreeing to Quin. In regards to the bet with Quin it would be quite a delight, but if putting it together with the unknown curse user, it would turn to a huge gamble.

The deciding factor was whether it was Tyler or the perpetuator who gets caught.

"You agree right!" Quin was the one who was truly ecstatic, despite he is in the losing side in terms of the value of the bet but considering the reality, there was no way Tyler would be able to finish fixing all of the mess.

"I already told you; I don't back out on anything I will say. If I'm wrong then we'll do it on your own accord." Tyler put his hands up to show his surrendering.

Seeing the firm resolve of Tyler, Quin was filled with mixed feelings but in the end his happiness took over as he bid farewell.

Tyler said his goodbyes before heading to the library.

The same time yesterday, there was not many people in the library staying.

The librarian saw Tyler as he enters. She already took noticed and remembered Tyler's face in case the latter ditch her. If Tyler really run away and did not do his duties then for sure, he would really be expelled this time around.

"Hey you!" The librarian called out. She still doesn't know Tyler's name, so even if it's embarrassing as an adult, she couldn't help but call him that way.

Tyler instinctively looked, he remembered that voice and who else would shout in a library except a librarian.

"Yes?"

"You're the one who will fix that room right? What was your name again?"

With that question, Tyler was able to find out why was he called and demoted to a mere 'you.'

"Yes, I'm the one, sorry again. My name's Tyler Norman, a freshman this year."

Hearing Tyler's name, the librarian's mood lightened and she instructed Tyler to go to the storage room immediately.

"You'll fix that until 6pm today, I'll be watching here so I know you'll not leave earlier than the allotted time."

With the go signal, Tyler went to the storage room.

He took all the tapes that was covering the doorway. With a huge inhale and exhale, he composed himself seeing all the mess the Akashic Records made.

The application of shaman powers isn't only through talismans and blood, though they have greater effect but since this is just a simple clean up, hand signs are more than enough and a little bit of ancient words.

With the hand sign in place, he gathered the power of wood spirits to restore the shelves that had been broken down.

Shamanism can't turn back time but the least he can do is put back together tings that can still be put together.

Certain spells are application of elemental magic just in a more complex form. The boxes that were ripped apart and could no longer hold the books they once held could be easily fix by stimulating the elemental particles within them thus molding them together.

Tyler repeated this process until all the boxes were fixed and was ready for books to be placed.

He sighed and took a break for a few seconds. He had done s little but it would seem that he had a truckload done already.

After a few minutes he continued. He had done a different take on these books. He couldn't just mold them all together. He created a golem from dirt and added his blood while performing a ritual.

Since paper is directly correlated to nature it was easier to replicate such thing. The problem lied with the text written in each book. That's where the golem he created comes into play, it was instructed with memory rewriting, and since the golem is more compatible to the book than Tyler is, there was a higher possibility that it will be completed.

He used such spell in the books, though it took a while he had pushed through. It's not even the bet time of Quin and even the proposed time by himself. He overestimated the mess and underestimated his power. In less than half a day he was able to fix he room.

He threw out a talisman into the ceiling. It serves as a safe zone and also a radar for negative energy. Not energy in the environment though but if it coming from a human.

He sighed a relief that there was no one who sneak a peek or attacked him. This was short-lived as this didn't help in actively searching for the curse user. The best scenario is that the curse user is a stupid man but considering their actions, it's highly unlikely.

After the fixing the room, something felt amiss. It was as if he had forgotten someone or disregarded a specific detail.

"What was it?!" Something was really bugging him.

This stopped though as he received a dreadful news.

The librarian of the library was calling for him.

"What happened?" Tyler was curious as to why was the librarian calling for him.

"Your mother had gotten to an accident!" The librarian said frantically.

Thank you for reading! :)
