In Fig's cave he had began to perform various experiments on Miri, at first he had tested the girl's body to see if she had any interesting magic, but he found out she was almost like a normal human, at first he was surprised.

"What's she doing amongst the witches of unne if she was just a normal human". He began to scan her inner energy with one of the magical crystals in his possession and after scanning he came across her tattoos, he opened her arm and he saw the cursed bird, the shadow demon and the red moon tattoos on her Left arm. He was curious as to what kind of tattoos would draw a reaction from a magic scanning device. He tried to draw the magic out maybe the drawings were runes of some kind but no matter how many techniques he applied, he was unable to draw any reasonable conclusion as to what the tattoos were. After over an hour Fig was ready to give up.

"Dammit" he cursed for the umpteenth time. "What on Earth is she"? he asked looking at Gvens.

"What do you mean"? Gvens asked

"You promised to make her suffer, but it seems she's the one driving you crazy". Gvens retorted

"We'll get there, Gvens, but I need to figure out exactly what she is first before I can start dismantling her mind, body and soul". I won't damage the merchandise before I fully understand it".

Fig move to one of his books and opened it.

"I'm going to cast a revelation spell". He thought. "They are dangerous especially when treading on a dangerous territory but what's discovery without a few dangers."

"Dangerous territory? What do you mean?" Gvens asked. She's just a little witch."

"Ohhh that's where you're wrong, Gvens, she's nothing but dangerous, if she wasn't I won't be needing to do this." "Someone went to great lengths to keep this girl powers hidden and with what I'm getting from just those tattoos, I believe we are about to stumble upon something interesting."

Just outside the cave Kim and the other witches have arrived some distance to the cave at which One of her witches familiar had seen Gvens enter. Immediately she saw through the familiar's eyes that the wendigos were present and not attacking Gvens, she knew it was him behind attack on the capital. That would explain how the wendigos go so close to the royal palace.

Kim wanted to go closer to the valley but the place was swarming with wendigos. There were over 1000 of them and with only twelve of them, it was going to be a bit hard, but that was not her only worry, she could sense Fig's magic even though he was yet to sense her, she could tell he was going to be quite troublesome.

"Seems he's the one controlling the wendigos."

"Kofi, Kim called, We need to get closer without being detected, you should be able to get closer with your shadow magic".

"Yes my lady, but Ferry detected various wards and traps, it will be hard to get closer without his help".

"How about establishing a mind link to help you navigate". Kim asked.

"We don't know if there are any precautions taken against this but it's worth the try". Kofi replied.

"It's dangerous, but we can't sit here and do nothing, and besides Miri is here, we have to rescue her before those fools hurt her". Kim said

"Clara take two people to help you, incase Kofi cover gets blown and he's discovered we'll assist him and draw their attention, you and the others get inside and save Miri, and also, don't prioritize fighting, only saving Miri matters for now, we can always deal with the damned demon and Gvens another time" Kim ordered.

Kofi made his way into the lion's den by disguising in the shadows, with Ferry's help he was able to navigate success fully without alerting the monster's or triggering the magical wards. After few minutes his luck ran out as he triggered an alarm even Ferry could not see.

"It seems someone triggered one of the alarms", Fig said. 'We've been found."

"What"? Gvens said in surprise and panick

"It seems you were followed."

"Then let's kill the girl and leave."

"Not until I find out what she is".

Miri who was now placed in the middle of a drawn circle was laying on the floor. Fig had drawn the magic circle to help with the reveal spell he was about to cast. Normally reveal spells were not much of a big deal, but if someone was trying to hide something and trying to make it impossible for someone to find them, using reveal spells on such thing was quite dangerous, especially, if they had gone to great lengths to hide what was hidden. There could be mental traps, death traps and even abominable traps lying deep in the hidden.

After making all the necessary preparations Fig stood above Miri's head with an enchanted knife. He began to chant.

"Reveal all hidden, restore sight to eyes that see, restore light to the dark". After chanting for the third time, he stabbed Miri's chest but the blade didn't cause any form of wound, immediately the circle started to glow and everything began shaking. After few minutes a big band sounded around the cave sending Gvens and Fig flying. Miri who was sleeping now had several shadows of locks in six different parts of her body visible, both hands, forehead, chest, stomach and her waist.

Fig noticed this and he could not help but be shocked.

"Good gods, what did they do to you and why.? Six locks on just a single child"?

"How is she still even alive".

"That's it I'm killing her Gvens said as she drew his sword and approached Miri". Immediately he got close Miri stood up like a ghost grabbing the man who wanted to take her life by the throat. She lifted him up with one hand and broke his neck effortlessly. After this she turned to Fig and spoke with an ominous voice "Iwo lokan ( you're next)". The demon, being one a paranoid man always had a plan incase something went wrong during any of his questionable experiments, took out one of his rings and shouted "incito" immediately he disappeared. Miri stood up from the bed still in trance and had not noticed what had just happened, but she was now different as the cursed bird had used the opportunity of the short awakening to employ the shadow demon's help, it was finally able to break two of Miri's body locks, turning her from a harmless girl, to the witch she had always wanted to be.

Kofi who had now triggered one of Fig's alarm found himself fighting for his life. Immediately Fig noticed the breach and where it came from, he had sent the wendigos to handle things and buy him time. Kofi was now facing like a thousand wendigos. He was quickly rescued by Kim who drew the attention of the others, and as expected Clara used the ensuing chaos to slip into the cave with two others. After navigating the cave for a while, they finally got to Fig's lab. They didn't see anything at first but after searching they saw Miri in a corner crying, with a dead body not far from her.

Clara looked at Gvens body and knew he had been the one responsible for Miri's kidnap. He didn't know why he had done it but they would sure get their answers after they return to chester.

"Hey Miri, it's me Clara," Clara drew close to the child and hugged her to clam her down. Miri was sobbing uncontrollably.

"What happened, was it the demon that killed him? Clara asked, Did he hurt you?"

Miri shook her head in response,

"I- I killed him". Miri said

"What"? Clara asked

"Clara" Zia called

"It seems some drew a magical circle for a reveal spell here", Zia said showing what she had discovered.

"I think the demon knows something it shouldn't". Zia said

"Maybe, but I doubt it was able to fully reveal what she really is, if not he wouldn't leave her here". Clara said

"Or maybe he didn't have the time to take her with him. Anyways we've got what we want, I'll take care of her you guys investigate the cave maybe we can find whatever the demon was using to control the wendigos."
