Atunbi ( rebirth)

"What was that?" Kim who had just arrived with some other witches asked the already surprised and injured Fiona and her team.

Clara had been successful in calling for backup and they had arrived early enough to see something being sucked into the red glowing egg they were seeing.

"Are you alright?" Kim asked Fiona as she was struggling to stand.

"Yes, but it got me good", Fiona responded.

"What do you think that is?" Fiona asked Kim

"I don't know but we'll find out soon." Kim signaled her followers to approach the glowing egg and they did, as they were a few meters to the egg a giant bird came springing out of the egg making them stand back at the presence of the creature that had surfaced again. Its wings and head were outside but its legs could not be seen. It seems as if it was guarding the egg. Suddenly the egg cracked a bit making the bird screech a little before it spoke.

"Atibi, Atunbi, Atunbi Ikuwamiri...." The bird screeched in a disturbing sound. As the egg cracked a bit more, the bird grew more restless and spoke more gibberish.

"Call Lady Lucianne" Kim Ordered Clara who did as told and immediately, she appeared beside Kim.

"What is going on?" she asked as soon as she arrived. Some of the witches who were witnessing her powers for the first time stood in awe of the mighty Lucianne; she was not crowned the epithet 'queen of witches' for naught. She looked at the creature and clicked her tongue.

"Eyekeye "(A cursed bird) she spoke and the bird replied with another loud screeching startling everyone but Kim and Lucianne. The cracking egg finally finished cracking and the bird once again got sucked into whatever the egg cracked into. The witches stood for a while as they weren't sure approaching was a good idea.

"Stand back a voice called out from behind". Lucianne made her way forward as she approached to check the hatchling. Eyekeye was a bird that had been cursed with heavy burden and magic and the eggs layed by such eggs were quite rare and useful. Even though she had never seen one that big or one that even spoke before Lucianne was curious as to what the cursed bird had layed. When she finally got there she was shocked to say the least.

"Ohhh what do we have here" she said as she stared at the small baby girl who was laying down in between the cracked egg.

The child stared at Lucianne and laughed stretching out her hand towards Maleficent. Even though she was a new born it seemed as if she had some level of mobility and even self-awareness but all this was cut short as the child immediately started crying. The other witches who had yet to see this were also shocked as they heard the cries of a human child, how is it possible for a child to be born in such a manner. This place is indeed a place where madness resides some of them thought within themselves. Maleficent immediately picked up the child and wrapped her with her robe she tried to calm the crying baby down. She examines the child with her magic and noticed it was healthy and flowing with magic. She also saw a tattoo on her left shower that depicted a bird which signified the childs familiar and guardian 'the cursed bird' and also words written underneath its legs as if the bird was carrying a message. The message read the word ATUNBI, Kim saw this and asked Lucianne,

"What does it mean".

After some second of silence Lucianne answered "it means rebirth".

"I wonder what or who was reborn" Lucianne thought as she stared at the child.

"What are we going to do now?" Kim asked her Leader.

"Continue with the search and burn everything you see, don't take anything and don't leave anything behind". "Destroy it all" she said as she walked away.

"And what about the child?". Kim asked again.

"The council shall decide her fate". Lucianne responded

"Don't try to save her" Kim said once again

"And what does that mean" Lucianne replied in an irritating tone

"She's not your daughter, Abby is dead" Kim said

"I know but that doesn't mean she should die too".

"Look around Anne" Kim called her by her name which she only does when she's serious

"A lot of people have died already; her blood is not going to matter much now".

"Yes you are right Kim, Lucianne said, her blood doesn't matter so why waste it."

"You-"

"Enough!" Maleficent said authoritatively

"We'll let the council decide her fate." She concluded and walked away.

Five days Later Council tower

"We thought this was an extermination mission" a voice said as Lucianne stood in the Middle with a child, surrounded by five people.

"Yes but"- Lucianne tried to explain

"No buts Lucianne, you were chosen to exterminate completely ikuwamiri and its inhabitants which I believe this child falls under the category of the targets to be eliminated".

"And the mission has been completed without failure". Lucianne responded

"You call this 'without failure'. You clearly have a survivor wrapped in your hands, and may I remind you someone died while fighting a beast that was trying to protect that child'. Another voice roared in anger

"And I wouldn't want to repeat that". Maleficent responded.

"What do you mean by that the" man quickly replied.

"Are you threatening me?" he roared at Lucianne

"Shut Up black". Lucianne replied in vexed tone.

Members of the council had always been called by a coded color. There was Black (demons), Red (blood), Green, (nature), Blue (destruction) and Purple (mind) they each represented a branch of the magic witches and wizards practiced.

"I know very well the implications of my actions.

"But while you guys are ready to just murder a new born child that had nothing to do with ikuwamiri and its sins".

"I am not going to be a part of that. But I'm not a fool to be blinded by emotions and not realize this child might pose a huge threat in the future. That is why i propose we seal most of her magic. Sealing it all will kill the baby so if we can seal 3/4 of it and leave the rest so she can live her life. Then I believe you should be rest assured, since she can't really perform magic".

"What type of sealing do you propose?" green asked.

"The body locks seal."

"Body lock, so you plan on using all of us to locking one part of her body to disallow any one of us from being able to unseal her, including you yourself". Purple said as she immediately understood Lucianne reason for choosing such a seal.

"Yes" Lucianne nodded. Impressed by the Enchanting Purple witch.

"Ok then, let's put it into a vote," Blue said immediately. She was already bored out of her mind wanted the meeting to end immediately.

"All in favor of using the body lock seal to seal the child's magic" all members raised their hands except black who was still annoyed at Lucianne for threatening him.

"We don't have time for you childishness" blue said looking at black with a look that could kill him one hundred times over.

He immediately raised his hand as he knew blue could attack him any second if he didn't.

"Why do I have to be with this monsters, when they show me no respect" he sighed feeling embarrassed and defeated.
