Chapter 5

"And our summa cum laude is... Ashton Ruiz" announced the MC as the crowd applauded. Finally, after 2 years of waiting, we are graduates. I am very proud because Ashton is summa cum laude while I am the cum laude.

Everyone has already stood up for the picture taking of the graduates and I have also joined mommy and Ashton's family.

"Congratulations to both of you, we've been waiting for the wedding for 2 years" Aunt Carmen jokingly said and still teasing us.

"Ashton won't have any trouble when he comes to work because the company is his, I know he can return it to its former reputation, of course our companies will be one, right, friend?" Ashton's grandfather promised my grandfather.

"Well, that's true and we want someone to take care, our grandchildren" mommy giggled to which they all agreed but deep inside I know he hates me.

"Let's take a Trinity picture with Ashton, congrats to you by the way" Cleia greeted us, besides we took a picture, my family also knows her because I used to take her to the house before.

When the other classmates invited us to take pictures, we were happy because we finally fulfilled our parents' dream for us after a long journey, and Ashton and I are getting married, I will do everything to make him love me too.

We celebrated at the family's house with Ruiz as well, but Ashton was not there because their friends got along. Cleia's family was also invited because they are also close to us.

A few months later, our engagement party was held with Ashton, he was smiling and invited all our friends and classmates here, I was also busy receiving their greetings, I was so tired that I didn't even realize that Ashton was gone.

I also found out that that's why grandfather is arranging us because his company is collapsing because they were robbed with fake marketing that's why he chooses to marry me.

I'm trying to cheer myself up because this should be the happiest day of my life but because of what he's showing me it seems like he's stabbing me repeatedly in my heart.

I was surprised when he just kissed me on the cheek then the whole crowd applauded.

I felt sudden electricity giving shivers in my spine, but I immediately felt sadness because he only kissed my cheeks.

Is he really that angry to not kiss me on the lips?

We took pictures first and went to the reception hall, we are now side by side in the car.

"Ashton, are you tired, we can go home first" I said to him calmly and tried to smile.

"No, we're going to the reception, it's rude not to have the newlyweds" he uttered with a low tone voice.

I just nodded in response and remained silent until we reached the reception.

When we arrived at the venue, they were all there immediately, so we went in immediately to start and Cleia and my friends immediately greeted me.

"Trinity, come and let's talk about what you'll do later on the honeymoon" she said with a smile and pulled me to their table.

"Girl, you don't seem to be happy?" she said with disappointment and hugged me for a moment.

"Since we've been friends for a long time, I've known every move you do" she said softly and fixed my hair.

I tried to smile and wiped my tears away.

She hugged me again and said she understood me.

After a few hours, the guests also went home.

Ashton and I went straight to our house while he was driving, I didn't notice that we had reached the house because of the depths of my thoughts.

"You will take the other room, I don't want someone next to me in bed and don't you dare try to come into my room, understand?" he said with finality, so I immediately nodded in response.

"Alright, let's rest, you still have work tomorrow, goodnight" he just let me go and go to his room. I didn't give up.

The next day at noon I got up because I was tired, but I was surprised when cold water suddenly poured on my face.

I got up and immediately wiped my wet face.

"If I haven't showered on you, you're still asleep, where's the breakfast? I'll be late, right? What's the use of you as a wife!" Ashton was mad at me and pulled me to stand up.

We quickly got to the kitchen, so I immediately prepared breakfast even though my arm was hurting because of his pulling earlier.

"I'm sorry because I was so tired yesterday, I didn't realize the time" I said while preparing a sandwich and coffee.

"I don't care if you're tired or you're useless as a wife if you have so many excuses" he said angrily.

I prepared his breakfast and I also prepared mine, he also ate but didn't finish it.

"I'm going to work now, I'm late because of you" he said before leaving and driving his car, so I had breakfast and started cleaning the house.

I don't know that Ashton has changed, I know he's nice, he won't be like that, but I think it's different now.

I'll just keep cleaning the house while arranging other things because it's still a bit messy.

After I cooked lunch, I waited Ashton maybe he will come home, I cooked kare kare because it's his favorite, I took a shower first, maybe he'll come later. But the time went by and there was nothing, so I just ate alone again.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang signaling that there was someone outside, I immediately looked to see who it was when I saw Cleia I smiled and opened the door, it's a good thing she went so I was with someone.

"You're welcome Cleia" I said while opening the gate of the house.

"Yes, what happened to you, my sister?" she giggled as we entered the house with food.

"Nothing, he's busy with work, I don't want to be a hindrance" she sat on the sofa while I prepared the juice and donuts she bought.

"It's a shame" she said so we just laughed together because of her antics it took us an afternoon to laugh.

Cleia is one of the business corporates in a company she doesn't want in their company because she says there is special treatment, and she also wants to experience being an employee.

Cleia also went home because she said she still had a lot of work to do and I was cooking again to make up for Ashton, he was still late because I was just about to serve, when he arrived, he immediately sat in the living room and felt the sense.

"Ashton let's eat" he only gave me a bad look and I went to the kitchen and immediately followed him; I was about to sit down to eat him when he suddenly dropped his spoon and fork.

"Who told you to eat?! I don't want to eat with you, can you just wait in the living room, I don't want to see your face in front of the food, it's boring, get me new cutlery".

I immediately followed him and left him first. I almost cried but I just got up and smiled.

After he ate, I immediately went to the kitchen to eat but I didn't have any appetite so I didn't finish what I ate. Fortunately, there is a cat in the other house.

I've never been treated like this in my life, but Ashton can be an exception because I love him, and I will not give up...
