Do yourself a favour: Ignore the title and start reading. You can judge a book by its cover, but no one picks up a book with an awful title. The title is why this book hasn't been released, why no one is reading it, and why no one is voting for it. It's a shame because this is the funniest thing I've read on WN in a looong time! I let this book linger in my library for a few months before finally reading it. I am so sorry that I didn't read it sooner! Skip the title and go straight to reading and laughing. This is such a welcome change from FLs who get cheated on, financially scammed out of the family company, and eventually driven to suicide-or just being murdered AFTER they've been robbed of everything of value. The character development and world building are excellent. The FL didn't have to die and transmigrate before developing common sense and a backbone. She just self-reflected and made some changes in her life. The ML is a decent guy, which makes him a unicorn in the stable of WN male leads. This FL isn't clueless. She lives in her own head, always thinking about her life, needs, and plans. This isn't done in a vain way, but in the terms of thinking ahead so that she always has a Plan A, B, and Z for every situation. Some might think she's stupid and weak because she doesn't face slap every comment. Yes, she takes the hits and she sits patiently as the insults pile up - but then she repeats the insults word for word at the perfect time and place. She pierces them with their own arrows and it is hilarious! This FL goes on a reality TV show as cannon fodder. Everyone bullies her and she lets it slide. They don't invite her for meals? Okay. She sources something better to eat because she has a functioning brain, common sense, and life skills. Her team members in the show tell her to shut up and stay in the background. When commenters on the live stream ask why she isn't participating, she says (on a LIVE STREAM) that her cast mate named ___ told her to be a good 18th tier actress, aka be seen but not heard. Her timing is epic! She puts the green tea bishes, white lotuses, and mansplainers on the hot seat, leaving them drowning as they try to reclaim their public images of being elegant and kind. When the team spends the money allotted to them (for the duration of the days it will take to complete their tasks) on big meals and fancy hotels, they are left distraught as they wonder where their next meal will come from. They aren't looking for answers because they are too busy wondering how can someone as special as them could possibly end up sleeping rough on a park bench - but that didn't cross their minds when they spent 1.5 days worth of food and accommodation cash on one extravagant lunch 'for energy to do the tasks'. Our FL saves the day by introducing them to cheap hotels with free breakfast buffets. She gets breakfast buffet doggie bags because breakfast breads and fruit equal a free lunch. When challenged about not participating in the game, our FL repeats the exact words of yet another person who bullied her and told her to shut up and remain in the background. While the lotus who said this is trying to spin it to reclaim her nice girl reputation, the FL is asked how she plans to make money and win the challenge. She tells them that she's figured out how dumb they are so she'll have no problems in selling them on the black market and making a fortune in addition to winning the game. Our FL mentions just enough facts about where to find a human trafficker that her team starts wondering if she's serious about selling them.😆😂🤣 The ML is present as well. He's the only person who follows her suggestions. When he is asked why, he says it's because he trusts her and her judgement. To me, that is a very hot thing for a guy to say. As mentioned, there are a few he/she editing errors. I didn't find it problematic because I was into the book and could easily see which character was speaking. When we read novels on this Chinese site it's important to remember that many languages don't have genders. In speech, it's not him or her, it's a gender neutral 'one', and often people are called using their job title (teacher, President, CEO, Assistant, etc). Mandarin in particular is like British English in which you could say 'One should refrain from trying to hit on the ML.' The context tells you that the 'one' in the sentence is the lotus in the story. Some books are translated by agencies who employ people with varying levels of English language skills. Some books have the correct gender and idioms converted into their Western equivalent, while other books are machine translated from start to finish. MTL(machine translated) books have the most typos because translation apps translate word by word as opposed to translating whole sentences or phrases. I'm an American living in London. I've had deals shaken because I wrote color instead of colour. On the locals turf, obey and respect their culture and language/grammar. The same applies to reading translated books. Read this book if you want romance, green tea drama, and not so much face slaps but pulling the rug out from under people. This FL is openly petty about casually exposing how superior, catty, snide and back stabbing the others are. She does so while using nothing but the words they said to her. If you have a boss, parent, or partner who yells at you about breaking a rule, yet you are expected to be quiet while they do exactly what you were just told not to do, then you'll love this book because our FL calls out everyone from the cast to the production team if they bully her. Her hit list is a bunch of crossed out names because she tears them down ASAP and seamlessly moves on to the next l. Try it. It's a pleasant, funny, and unique story. You might really like it.
This would be a more enjoyable read if more care was shown with the editing. There are so many small, unnecessary typos that could have been corrected with a bit of proofreading. Despite that, I like the FL and ML. Especially the FL; and what she did to her family was pure savage (you gotta read it, it was too satisfying). I also like that the beginning didn’t start with the FL being drugged and the ML taking advantage. I can’t wait to read more, hopefully without the annoying typos.
I believe that writers take a lot of time before updating their stories that is not good at all and it just brings down the motivation to read the novel. Everyday without updating it people would den be browsing it but you ( the writer )will tell us we shouldn't browse it but you don't update it. So many novels in this app isn't frequently updated which makes it poor it lowers umm the standard so please consider that thank you
