Chapter 39: Two Years Down.

When Remus said that he would explain everything about my visions to the boys and Naomi, it was like a blessing in disguise. I knew that explaining to the group meant questions mostly asking why I didn't trust them with the secret and I was glad that I avoided them all. Well for now anyway.

It was the next morning and I hadn't left the dormitory since it all happened. I hadn't left the room for dinner, and I only went to the bathroom if really needed. I really didn't want to face their wrath and I also didn't want to lose my friends once more. I knew that I'd have to leave the room eventually for things but that meant being in a vulnerable area where they could easily talk to me. I really didn't think that I could face them but I had no choice when Lily was pulling me out of the dormitory.

"You can't hide away forever Meadow. Just talk to them, before I ended up knocking Potter out for harassing us" she said pulling me down the stairs of Gryffindor Tower. Thankfully I had already changed into a jumper and some jeans so I didn't look like a fool in my pajamas. Thankfully classes were over now and it was finally the last full day of the year. That also meant that I could take Care of Magical Creatures next year like I had been wanting to since we first arrived at the school. It seemed so long ago that I was sitting in a boat with Fabian and Gideon looking up at the castle in awe. Now I thought about it, I had really spoken to them much lately due to exams and been confronted by the others first about Remus and second about me. I would have to find them at some point.

We entered the Common Room with one last tug to find it surprisingly (almost) empty. It was so different compared to how it was most of the time but then again, everyone was probably outside enjoying the fun before being cooped up on a train full of students first thing tomorrow. Too bad the room wasn't empty however as Alice and Marlene stood in the corner but James, Sirius, Peter, Remus, and Naomi were all seated across the chairs. I gulped visibly.

"We'll be out on the grounds if you need us" Lily smiled striding out the room with Alice and Marlene in tow leaving only me and my friends in the room. It was quite a bit awkward, to say the least however Remus spoke up first slightly breaking the tension.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Good thanks?" I responded, avoiding all contact with the others until Sirius spoke up.

"Remus explained everything the other night".

I nodded looking down at the rug beneath my feet. It seemed really interesting right about now but I honestly just didn't know what to say. They all probably had so much mistrust of me because I didn't say anything yet here we were, all sitting around the fire comfortably. Well, I wasn't because I was physically uncomfortable but mentally and I didn't want to show that as a sign of weakness.

"You don't have to hide from us Meadow, your ability won't affect anything" Naomi added softly. I glanced up meeting Sirius' silver-grey eyes and then breaking eye contact to glance at Naomi.

James was the one to speak up next. "We just want to know why didn't you tell us?"

There it was.

"I-i just didn't know what to say. Not that I don't trust you guys or anything but how am I meant to just turn around say oh yeah I have visions every now and again by the way so don't be alarmed. Also, some stranger has been calling me in my visions. Yeah, let's be best friends now?" I paused expecting someone to say something but no one did so I continued. "I didn't want to lose any of you because of my stupid ability. That's why I didn't say anything because you guys are all I've got to hold onto."

Within an instant, Sirius stood up and brought me into a bone-crushing. "Don't ever think that you can't tell us anything. We wouldn't leave you for the world and nothing would ever be said to any other being, dead or alive. You can trust us Meadow..."I returned the hug and held onto him for dear life, my head buried into the crook of his neck.

"Promise to never leave me?"

"I promise."

"Another year has passed and in that one year, so many pranks have happened that even the professors are struggling to keep up" Dumbledore announced with a slight chuckle. I mean he had a point. No one really knew who was winning what at the minute and I doubted even he did. So many unexpected pranks had happened all over the place that who knows what was actually happening and what was a prank or not.

"And as it happens every year, it is now time to award the house trophy but also give an update on the house war scores" Dumbledore continued. "We shall start with the house war. Currently in fourth is Hufflepuff with forty-four points. In third place is Gryffindor with fifty-three points." A loud groan echoed throughout the hall. "In second is Ravenclaw with fifty-six points leaving Slytherins in first place with fifty-seven points overall-" A loud bang echoed throughout the hall and four fireworks flew through the open doors of the Great Hall in scarlet in Gold. They all met in the middle of the hall creating a louder bang and above us, was a lion-shaped firework which then let off many little fireworks which flew up the tables changing everyone's robes to have the Gryffindor colours. It was a classic prank but it always worked.

"Nice work" Sirius smirked nudging me to my right. I muttered a quick thanks before clipping my hands around my mouth.

"I think you need to update the scores professor" I shouted up to him.

Dumbledore just let out a loud chuckle. "So it seems. Well, it looks like there has been a bit of a change in scores because it looks like both Slytherin and Ravenclaw has gone down a league and Gryffindor is now in the lead with a solid fifty-eight points."

The Great Hall was filled with loads of shouts of victory from our table but also many shouts and protests from the Ravenclaws and Slytherins. It seemed that Hufflepuff wasn't going to get involved but then again I don't blame them. They've seen a lot of what the Slytherins could do this year alone.

But that didn't matter. Because it was a victory for the Gryffindors and over the next few years, we won't go down without a fight.

Another year has gone by, it's only taken a year and three months to write first and second year XD. I know there has been slow updates but because I'm still in school I kind of have to focus on that too. I hope you don't mind but I will try and update quicker I just need to find the time to at the minute. Also, I know this chapter is a lot shorter than the rest but I'm currently doing some mock exams so I've been trying to revise for that too.

Now I have a few notices about the upcoming years.

Firstly year three will only be about five or six chapters long. I know it seems really short but when it came to planning out what I want to happen in this book, I kind of got a bit stuck on ideas for this year but I will try to make them really good.

It's also getting close to the time where Meadow and Sirius are going to start liking each other and get together (well fourth year but still)! Now I wouldn't usually say something like this (although this is my first book but you get what I mean) but the thing is I wanted to warn you guys in advance that I've never actually tried writing romance. I know this might come as a shock but I wanted to kind of branch out with my writing hence why I started writing this book. I will try my best and I know some bits might be bad so if you don't want to read anymore because it's that bad, go ahead I won't be offended or anything. But please do know that this book isn't going to revolve around their romance either. It will mostly be about Meadow having to cope with her visions and other things that will come up later (but I'm not going to spoil). I just wanted to add some romance so there can at least be something there to break up all the mysteries and it gives me the opportunity to try writing something new.

I know this was kind of a long authors note, and I'm sorry about that but I had to make it clear.

Stay safe and love you all
