The Magical USB Stick

Ert and Erstan talked a lot about this world while they are around the table. He asked ignorantly but being careful just to get some information on this planet.

Humanity here called this world Feru, The Land of Fire. They are currently in the kingdom of Sanore which is not a strong nor a weak kingdom. The village they are in, Yondo, is at the south of town, Ogore, where Erstan was lost.

"Why do you call this world the land of fire? Is crime and destruction here is very often?" Erstan asks.

"I also don't know. We are somewhere in the south and east which is far from the information being circulated about what is happening to the central city of the continent and the west. I am very thankful that our family was born in this region. The world is so small that drives humanity to be aggressive with each other. The sad part is that the people without the power to protect their selves suffer more. It seems like the lives of the powerless if has no value." She says like she owns the pain of the lost lives.

Magic exists here but rare and weak compare to those in novels Erstan has read. Magicians and fighters have the same power but both are top in society. Magicians are fully nurtured by many kingdoms because of their history of having a very powerful one. Erstan doesn't know what are the basis of strength and power here, but for sure they have the ability to be the powerhouse of small organizations or a kingdom.

Their average family-size bread here is just a copper coin. A silver coin is 100 copper and a gold coin is 10 silver. There is more from this kind of wealth which she did not tell more.

Erstan also asked Ert about their names in rhyme with celestial bodies and said that their parents want something similar to their names. They have a family name of Suera which means space. She said that they are a family that occupies the space.

"You are very knowledgable." He praises.

Ert stops her positive attitude when Erstan said those words.

He breaks the silence and asked while looking around. "Where are the others actually?"

"Mother and father went to the capital early morning. They will arrive there for a month. At last, mother will be treated." Ert's attitude came back.

"What are you talking about each other?" Sky came while crafting his arrows.

"Brother! Don't make arrows here inside." Ert scolded.

"I'll just clean the mess later. Don't worry. So Brother Erstan, will you hunt with me later? I have an extra bow. You can use it."

Sky is very enthusiastic about hunting. He even put some care into making his arrows. Actually, Sky is 5 years younger but looks and acts like a mature person.

"Hmm... I can try." Erstan said yes because he really want to help. He wants to show that he can also help the family.

"Tell me. What are your best skills?" Sky asked. Ert also nodded.

'Skills?! I only have skills related to computers and nothing else. Do I have other skills?'

The two are still waiting for his answer.

"Skills? Ahm... I can write." This is the only thing he can think of.

""Wooow...""

"So you are a scholar, Erstan?" Ert asked excitedly.

"Something like that. Yeah."

"Yeah? What is that?" asked Sky.

"It means yes."

"So that is."

"So this is my name?!"

"I don't know your writing system, but in my place, it is written like that." I explained to Ert.

"How about my name, Brother Erstan." Sky also asked me to write his name on the table using charcoal.

"Here it is."

Erstan went back to Sky's room to test the devices given by the system. Even though he is excited, he also trie to answer a question in his head.

'How can I use this information here?'

The laptop has been turned on and is ready. He navigated through the apps. It has basic apps installed like web browser, document editor, and antivirus.

He gets the magical USB stick hanged on the necklace and inserted it into the laptop.

He opens the browser and navigates to youtube website. Duh! You can't blame him. It is how he tests if he is connected to the internet.

'It works! It really is connected to the internet! I can really access the Earth's servers! This is really magical!'

He tries to go to Facebook but is blocked. It says that it can not be done.

'I see. I can't use social media.'

He tries accessing Google, all information he clicked is working.

He tries Gmail. Although he can access it, he can't send an email.

'Hmmm... This device has the capability of filtering information exchange.'

'Wait.'

He remembered something.

'The system said that it can act as an online store.'

He tries to navigate to Amazon but is blocked. He also tries another online shop but nothing.

He looks at the USB stick connected to his laptop and asks.

"Hey, system! How can I navigate to the store?"

Nothing.

He asked again but got no reply.

'Nevermind.' He surrenders. 'Maybe the system will tell me after 3 months.'

'So, what will I do with this magical device for me to survive here? Although I like the idea of advancing my career, I have also some basic needs.

He thinks for a moment about how he will use this privilege and comes with an efficient idea.

'I will just sell some product information to the merchants.'
