Diaster strikes

"well..well..well haven't it been years grey" the man finally turns around revealing his appearance.

He had a shade of brown eyes , a pointed nose and a white hair, rows of hair ran down the side of his face as they connected to make his beard and mustache.

His white hair fell all the way down to his neck, he wore a white Long sleeve shirt , black trousers and a pair of black shiny shoes.

He wore a digital watch and his pair of glasses hung perfect on his nose , if one could look into this man's eyes they would see a man full of experience and knowledge.

"It's nice to finally meet you again Mr Cromwell" Zack's father smiled as he said .

" Indeed it has been years but first you should sit here and let's talk about why you are here" Mr Cromwell gestured them to sit and they sat.

"Mr Cromwell you know what am here for already right?" Zack's father said as he looked at Mr Cromwell in the eyes.

"It's not hard , you are here because it's your son's awakening day" Mr Cromwell spoke as he crossed his fingers on the desk then he turns to Zack's mum.

"Miss Elora it's great meeting you once again" Mr Cromwell spoke as he gave a light smile.

"Mr Cromwell although we met once , it's still a great a thing to meet you again" Zack's mother replied.

"Today his is awakening day andl need your experience in this field to help him awaken smoothly. Zack's father explained to doctor Cromwell.

"It's no problem grey , at least am sure he do well just like you , because you yourself is a prodigy" doctor Cromwell assured him.

He taps on a red button on his desk then a holographic screen appears before him and a man appears on the screen.

He is wearing a lab cloth and looks like a man in his mid forties.

" Doctor Yun , send one of your assistants here right now we have an ability to awaken"

"Yes sir l will right now and once the person is here we will begin with the procedures" the doctor replied as he obeyed Mr Cromwell's order.

"Alright no problem but don't make me wait, you get that" Mr Cromwell's demeanor becomes serious.

"Yes sir" and with that the holographic screen went off.

Few moments later...

And immediately the office door swung open and a young man entered , he was panting a bit as it looked like he had ran.

"Good morning Mr Cromwell l was sent by doctor xiao yun to bring the one who is to awaken" the man spoke politely and respectfully.

When Zack heard this his heart was a bit in a panic because he was about to start and now he had to count on his luck.

"Okay it's the boy over there , his name is Walton Zack"

Mr Cromwell pointed to Zack who sat down with sora.

"Alright Zack you will need to follow him and he will take to the awakening section" Mr Cromwell said to Zack.

"Alright sir l have heard your word l will go with him" Zack responded and he stood up and walked towards the man.

"Alright you both may leave now" Mr Cromwell told them and they both left then he turned to Zack's parents in front.

" Alright we have to go to the watch room and observe everything from up there.

Minutes later...

Zack found himself in a huge room and he looked up as he could see the upper half of the dome made of glass.

He was putting on a white light shirt and trouser , also they were multiple round Small black discs attached to the cloth.

This cloth was known as the testing gear which takes the wearers data and analyze it through the system thereby creating a database for the person.

"Please step on the square mark" a voice sounds in the room as the voice directs Zack to step on a square mark in the center of the room.

He steps on the mark.

"Let the awakening trial begin" a strong masculine voice echoed in the entire room.

[ Awakening trial phase 1] , an Al voice sounds in the entire room informing Zack that phase 1 was about to start.

Zack takes a prepared stance preparing for what ever was about to be thrown at him now.

Meanwhile in the monitor room were there are numerous ablitiy specialists wearing white lab coats, most are seated as they operated the large screens in front of them as they monitored what was taking place , on their screens.

"Let the awakening trial begin" a man who was the only person not seated , his appearance was that of knowledge and wisdom seen within him. He had a pair of almond coloured pupils which shined like a pool of gold under the bright light.

His facial features were sharp and they was a sense of courage and boldness coming from him , he wore a pair of glasses which hung perfectly above his well constructed nose.

His brown hair was let to fall down freely to his back and his handsomeness was rather otherworldly.

"Yes sir" one of them responded to his orders and the man pushed a button and now the awakening trial begins

[Awakening trial phase 1 , start protocol triggered beginning trial]

Zack hears the Al voice and he gets prepared and alert.

Suddenly multiple platforms begins to raise from the ground and the spot were Zack stood raises up in the air as well.

Zack finds himself self above the ground as he stood on the raised platform.

"Wow that's alot " Zack is surprised as he looks around and sees many raised platforms.

[Phase 1 , cell stimulation]

A mechanical voice echo's in the Entire room and suddenly the platforms begins to move.

"Looks like this is the phase that stimulates the cells in my body" Zack says as the raised platforms begin to move from slow to real fast.

"Candidate 101,this is the first phase of awakening which is the cell stimulation ,for this phase all you have to do is step on the platforms containing a white capsule container holding bane dust and a infrared scanner"

He receives guidance from doctor Yun ,whose voice was transmitted from the monitor room.

Zack looks around the room as he points out the platform containing what was mentioned and soon he points out six of the platforms.

"That's six but this moving platforms are a bit of a challenge , well it's time for dad's training to play in now" Zack gets determined as he sets his sight on the six platforms holding bane dust.

Suddenly the platform which Zack is standing on immediately begins to shake and sway forcefully.

"Okay this is unexpected" he trys to maintain his balance but Soon realizes that he can't.

"Damnit , l can't hold on l guess l have to really get moving " he immediately jumps from the troubling platform to another platform which was unstable as well.

He keeps leaping from platform to platform as he moves towards the first platform holding bane dust.

The platforms kept moving , shaking and swaying making things a bit diffcult for the fourteen year old.

Although he hadn't awakened his ability for it to bloom , children born from abilitans will always have their body and physical strength stronger and enhanced than an ordinary child.

So let say because of the characteristics in the gene of abilitan children that Zack was been able to leap from platform to platform .

Zack keeps making his way towards the target as he navigates through the shaking and moving platforms.

"Just six meters more and am there" Zack calculates the remaining distance to the platform holding bane dust as he leaps from a wobbling platform to another.

Zack leaps into the air and he twists his body with agile speed and then lands on the platform with his two hands.

As he lands with his hands he immediately uses them to push his body forward with great strength , this sends him propelling through the air and he finally lands on the target platform.

"Phew, finally l have reached the first one" Zack pants a bit as he is relieved to have reached the first target in range.

In front of Zack was a white capsule container floating in the middle of the platform , the container floated because of the advanced magnetic field attach to the center of the platform.

By the side of the floating white capsule container was a pole like structure and a scanner which resembled a camera was hung on it.

"Pisssssss" immediately the sides of the container opens and it releases a cloud of purplish dust like particule which immediately dissipates into the air around Zack and suddenly the scanner activates.

The scanner shoots infrared lasers at Zack , as it begins to scan him from head to toe.

[Cell stimulation process synchronizing , cell absorption speed 10%, cell stimulation progress :15%]

A holographic screen appears before Zack's eye as the awakening trial status is shown to him.

"That's more like it" Zack says with enthusiasm as he sets his eyes on the next one.

"Candidate 101, as you have now absorbed the first bane dust , you must keep absorbing the rest in order for you to stimulate and awaken the cells" doctor's Yun voice echo's in the entire room.

"Well if that's it, am gonna absorb it all" Zack's lips curve into a smirk as he immediately leaps towards his next target.

Meanwhile in monitor room, the ability specialists doctors were having a discussion as they watched Zack continue the trial.

"This kid really got a solid and strong foundation" a man with a short a brown hair says as he looks at the screen in front of him , showing the video of Zack paving his way through the obstacles.

"Why do you say so" one of the doctors asks in surprise.

"Well because look at the way he navigates through this obstacles of constant moving platforms , his like someone who has been waiting for this day Long enough" the man explains .

"That's not only what contributes to his progress also the Walton family have a strong super gene flowing in their blood , which in turn make them genius and prodigies so am not surprised if his able to scale something like this" finally doctor xiao yun speaks

"But doctor Yun , you know very well that this is just a piece of cake for those awakening their ability but what about when it comes to the academy that groom this kids, as the whole of humanity depend on we the abilitans, their test are never easy and moreover to talk of the assignment and missions into the forgotten lands , gates and portals" another doctor gives his opinion.

"That's well said doctor brown , but it's up to him make whether he can make it in to those academys" doctor xiao yun speaks as he looks at the screen showcasing Zack's body data.

Meanwhile above the dome were the watch tower was located ,Zack's family were watching him as he went on with the first trial.

"You know it's pretty impressing that your son has now made it to the fourth capsule container considering that if it were others they would have given up at the second or third, you Walton's are still as jaw dropping as ever" Mr Cromwell says as he watches Zack with his hands behind his back.

"You falter us too much doctor Cromwell , let's just say we have a thing for training and ambition as well , because without an ambition put in place you can never grow" Zack's father replys to Mr Cromwell

"With his good coordination and planning in this awakening trial am sure he will get a good talent once he takes the test as he enters into an academy of his choice"Mr Cromwell expresses with an impressed impression of Zack.

"Bam" Zack finally arrives at the last platform holding bane dust, his landing creates a little dent on the platform.

"Ah finally the last bane dust to absorb" Zack beams with excitement as his body beams with strength.

After he absorbed every bane dust on his way , his cells stimulation had gone up rapidly as his cells were unlocking their full potential after absorbing bane dust , the same thing responsible for the creation of abilitans.

The white capsule container releases the bane dust around Zack and soon the infrared scanner lights up and scans him.

[Cell stimulation process complete, cell absorption speed 99.9%, cell stimulation progress 100%, cell stimulation completed] immediately Zack saw the information on the holographic screen , his eyes immediately lit up as he begins to feel his body Change and become different from before.

Right now it was as if a dam had been burst open in Zack's body as all his cell we're stimulated and now the cells were acting fast as they began to rebuild and enhance his body than before, the potential of the cells were now 100 percent and the cells were now been utilized to their fullest making the body super enhanced.

" Congratulations candidate 101 , for you have completed the phase 1 of the awakening trial so next is the final phase" doctor Yun's voice is broadcasted in the entire room as he congrats Zack.

Meanwhile Zack was feeling a great change occuring in his body.

"This feeling, it's so....great l can't imagine how my cells are been used to their full potential , l feel so warm and rejuvenated" Zack embraces himself in this new sensation.

Finally all the raised platforms begin to go down towards the floor they popped out from. The room is brought back to it's original appearance as it was nothing than a big wide white room.

[Awakening trial final phase , ability awakening]

Zack's ear immediately perks up as he hears the Al voice and an uncontrollable excitement begins to bubble inside him as now the moment of truth had come.

But someone watched on with an uncertain face as Zack was about to awaken his ability finally.

At center of the room a strange machine or rather a device raises from the floor , the device was a orb like structure which was supported by a platform and the around the orb device were three purple stones floating and revolving around the orb device.

This orb structured device was know as the awakening core Device , this revolutionary device was an edge cutting technology and the solution to safe awakening and even make ordinary people also awaken abilities easily.

"Candidate 101 , this is your moment so all you have to do is step on the platform and put your hands on the awakening core Device and also those the three floating Stones are bane stones containing bane energy which you must absorb in the process of your ability awakening" the voice of doctor Yun explained .

The bane stones is a really precious resource and mineral as it's this precious resources that is moving this era of abilitans, the stones are formed from the very thing that changed the entire world which is bane energy.

Zack walks towards the raised platform and he takes a step on the platform and his heart begins to beat faster as he takes each step towards the device.

He stands in front of the awakening core Device as his eyes are focused on the orb device and the revolving bane stones.

Zack takes a breath and releases " l can do this , Zack you can make your parents proud by awakening a great ability" Zack motivates himself to awaken a great ability in him which will now bloom.

"Alright here goes nothing" he places his right hand on the orb device and device activates

[Analyzing body requirements for ability awakening...]

[Cell stimulation - requirement met , checking Host's cell activation]

The device immediately scans Zack entire body with the help of infared lasers.

[Cell activation 99.9%...beginning ability awakening protocol]

The orb device begins to glow signaling the Activation of the ability awakening protocol, Zack closes his eyes and he could feel the bane energy from the floating bane stones, this was due to his cell been stimulated that he could feel the energy.

[Ability awakening phase activated] the Al voice resounds in the entire room. The glowing orb device immediately changes to white and Zack begins to feel the Bane energy flow freely into his body as he unconsciously absorbs the energy from the bane stones.

In the monitor room

"Would you look at that , it's finally the kid's moment to awaken his ability" a doctor says with a bit of excitement in his voice.

"Well l hope he surprises us with something big" another doctor said not getting over heels over what was happening now.

"It's up to him whether he can awaken a strong ability or not" doctor Yun said indifferently as a thought no one knew ran through his mind.

Grey looks at his son from the watch tower but not with an excited expression but it was that of an unusual emotion of uncertainty.

Mr Cromwell turns and looks at Zack's dad who had that unusual expression and he sighs.

"You know you shouldn't have let this kid go through all this , you would have just told him the truth from the start" he speaks to Zack's father but he wasn't moving his lips

" Doctor Cromwell you won't get it , it's better it goes like this and everything happens this way" grey replies but he wasn't moving his lips instead the two men were talking through telepathy.

"It's your choice , l know how hard it's gonna be on him but let it be this way" Mr Cromwell says as he turns his focuse on Zack meanwhile sora watches in the excitement as her big brother was about to awaken his ability.

Zack felt a cool and calm feeling as the absorption process continued as the Al voice sounded non stop.

The Al voice sounded continuously as Zack could feel something within him threatening to break free, that was the sign he was about awaken his ability.

A dark red aura begins to emits from Zack's body with little red lightning crackles.

"Oh looks it's finally taking place" a doctor alerts the others as they turn their attention to the huge screen in front of them.

[Error..]

[Unable to identify host's ability]

[Error!! error!! error!! warning unknown energy signature detected]

Immediately the orb device turns from white to red and an alarm Begins to sound, Zack begins to feel a burning sensation throughout his entire body which becomes unbearable and his closed eye begin to twitch.

The red lighting crackles around his body begins to expand rapidly and it becomes enormous

*Sizzle... sizzle* lighting cracks were heard in the room and Zack begins to feel the worst and most painful headache ever and the red lighting cracks begins to hurt him.

"Ahhhhhhhh" Zack immediately screams out in pain as the he couldn't bear the pain he was feeling right now .

He tried to open his eyes but couldn't , he tried to remove his right hand from orb device which was glowing red but he still couldn't , now he realized things had taken a different turn.

Meanwhile in the monitor room the entire staff were in a panic and confused state, they were running there and here trying to fix and figure out what went wrong.

"Doctor Yun , host's data cannot be analyzed nor loaded" a doctor alerts doctor Yun in panic

"Sir an unidentified energy signature has been detected in the hosts body"

"Doctor xiao yun the host ablitiy could not be analyzed"

"Sir we have lost the host's body database" multiple doctor's were alerting doctor xiao yun on what was happening right now but his head was a mess right now as he couldn't know what to do.

"Ava confine the unknown energy and re-analyze the host's condition now" doctor Yun instructs the Al as he voice was trembling.

[Error!! unable to confine unknown energy]

[ Warning!! cannot analyze Host's body Condition]

When doctor Yun saw the Al reply he was lost for words , the technology they were proud of couldn't do anything right now.

"Ava cancel the hosts absorption process right now" this time doctor Yun roars in anger.

[Error...error unable to stop process]

When doctor Yun saw this he was completely broken down ,he was lost for ideas

[Danger!! danger!! warning unknown energy reaching Critical level] the Al voice brought doctor Yun out of his daze.

"You there force shut down the awakening core Device , our only choice is to get him out of there"he instructs one of the doctors to shut down the awakening core Device.

"Sir the device is uable to shut down" the doctor informs doctor Yun with a disappointed expression.

"What!!!" Doctor Yun couldn't believe it at all, now they had to think of something fast.

"Ahhhhhhhh" Zack kept screaming in pain as the lighting cracks electrocuted his body causing an immese pain and damage to his body.

Zack couldn't understand why was this happening all of a suddenly and why him , why at this important moment.

The three bane stones immediately shatters to dust and the awakening core Device begins to smoke.

[Alert alert , device overheating ]

[Situation critical , danger!!danger!!]

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" Zack gives the loudest painful scream as the device was about to blow up but suddenly a figure pulls Zack forcefully away from the device

*Booooooom*

and the awakening core Device blows up into multiple pieces.

The red lightning cracks around Zack begin to disappear and the dark red aura reseeds into his body.

Most of the testing gear Zack wore was burnt and tore and his body carrying multiple injuires which were visible from the damaged gear he wore.

Zack looks towards the figure who saved him in the nick of time and behold it was his father whose body was pulsating with a thick green aura emitting from him.

Zack begins to lose consciousness but he gets a glimpse of a man in white coat landing on the floor with his feet and unharmed, this was doctor Cromwell.

The awakening room doors immediately sildes open as a group of medics and ability specialists doctors enters in a haste and doctor xiao yun leads in front ,Zack eyes begin to dim as his vision becomes blurry and he finally shuts them as he loses consciousness.
