The Mass of Eating Melon Seeds
I absolutely love this book but it was randomly dropped and was never finished. Otherwise i would have given 5 stars. But any writer that just vanishes and stops publishing with no communication after months of readers asking whats going on will lose my support. Ive seen previously where others have posted that this book is a available on other Sites for free. Maybe its been completed and the end is only on one if them đ¤ˇđźââď¸
Good, not perfect. (Read what I could and MTL'ed the rest, so this review is for the full story through the end.) Good in the sense that almost everything that gets set up pays off before the end. Not _everything_ gets revisited, but few things are introduced but forgotten about (I'm looking at you, _many other novels_) Good also in the sense that many villains' motivation is understandable from their perspective. It's just that from their perspective the logical thing is to rob the MC. Or put him in his place. Or eliminate the MC *before* he can grow to become a threat. There are logical reasons why people behave the way they do, from the orc invasion near the beginning (they're starving, though there is more to it you discover later) through the end. It's never "Because they're EVIL!" Good also that even though the MC hides their strength, they're not always the strongest around. In fact, often they aren't, and have to keep hiding their strength to not get easily eliminated by much more powerful foes. The hero doesn't always win. Sometimes he has to run away and hide while working toward getting stronger. Not perfect in the sense that, well, it's not perfect. It's slow at first, rushed towards the end. Some interesting characters you just stop seeing at points as the MC grows beyond their circle. It reminded me a little of "Hail the King" though only because both are transported-to-another-world cultivation novels that heavily feature "Diablo II" cheats. But actually it's far closer in tone and execution to "Warlock of the Magus World". If you liked that, you'll probably like this. ... If you can get past the not-great slow beginning, which I think has made all the difference in the ratings.
Until today for me the best novel ever, even thou the magical system is bit rigid the ebtire world is higly original, no clisches or parts that one already read somewhere. Mc is Smart and author knows how to incorporate his high intellect. Its just sad that its bow in the 1 st place as its in my opinion one of the bestly written novels ecer.
Should be called No F**KS Given Abe, dude is a straight terrorist. Many conflicts are ended with him straight bombing places, not just killing his enemies but everyone near them as well. The MC 1000 chps in doesn't really have a clear motivation but always seems to be in a rush I kept thinking maybe the author will give him one but no. the power levels don't really scale well but most of it just follows the rule of cool.
The translation quality quickly drops the overall novel quality. Lots of repeats and confusing sentences which makes it hard to read and enjoy the story. Lots of filler pages with filler info nobody really cares about. Lastly tries to justify mcâs actions with unrealistic excuses. Overall a poor story unsure that even with an editor I might come back to read due to all filler pages and improper training/explanations.
im on ch. 832 and this author is lacking in just about every story telling skill there is, character/race descriptions? forget about it. Properly describing a setting or painting a picture with their words? I'm almost certain they don't even know how to describe what tree looks like. you want character development from the MC or side characters? you won't find that here so good luck. looking for an interesting plot lines or even mediocre ones? you're better off licking a rock because that would be more mentally stimulating and honestly I could go on but I don't want to waste your time the way this novel wasted mine. this last one is for the translator.... you're bad at your job, you're inconsistent with translating the same word multiple times and I'm certain you lied on your resume, kindly find a new profession.
First 1/3 was awesome, we get lots of lore and world building, in 2/3 it gets bit tedious, and grinding, and bit of cultivation tropes, and in 3/3 and its ending it beccomes full time cultivation novel, it can be seen that the author was burned up and was just too lazy to come up with anything original, ending was just sh**
Sorry but did anyone else get hit by the plot tank reading this story. The mc's cheat box has been removed for what feels like half the story after he got enough stuff to make it broken. No saying it would not work or be worth it. It can work on wine, blood and potions, it can work on anything then not just stuff the game version could. The new item is not a addtion result but an multple or ^ result so three items in dosen't give you something of only 3 value. He could have used it to make god metals out of all of the normal ones he has, taken the blood of his summons then refine it to max, holy stones made better, and the things to grow his world and magic body soul thing made to do it faster. The writer instead seems to have droped it some point so suddenly that you forget he has it if your like me. This is made stranger as Abe takes a back seat at the half way point and stops fighting himself but that is because the book takes on a bad cultivation novel feel in that the next person is always stronger then him insted he uses the new cheat plot armor to get god rank body summons. The other cheat that makes no logic to me is the world stone at the part I'm at he should have the whole thing (killed final boss in the other world guess there is some dlc ones that have the stone or something) guess what it does nothing new. Anyone else thoughts about it vanishing?
