A figure of a little girl walks somberly through the forest as her marigold kimono stuck to her skin as the rain drops fell.

She steps slowly up the steps of the torii gate stairs as her tears rise in her eyes.

The golden decaying fall leaves after the winter fell slowly on the path crushing at her feet.

The raindrops fell on the old carved stone splattering in small puddles in a gentle sound.

Looking at her reflection in its little pond, her deep lit golden eyes glared dimly at herself.

'Why!? what did I do? what could make you aknowledge me!'

That self of hers asked the old man gazing at her in dark eyes full of hatred she couldn't comprehend.

What she saw in others who sired them to this world....why couldn't he give it to her....

Why couldn't he give the same warm eyes the clan head gave his son to her...

Every single day she yearned for it.... almost like gnawing through a thick stone wall until her fingers and teeth were shattered and bloody.

Yet why couldn't he look at her.....even if it hurt so much.....even when she tried so hard....why does he look at her in those eyes... despise her..

Like a loyal dog abandoned by its owner she finally barked back and asked..

'Why aren't you looking at me!? I'm trying so hard! Isn't it enough!?'

In a raspy breath of uncontrollable emotion she asked..

'What would make you stop hating me!? What could even make you love me!?!'

Eyes in a pain completely void of childish dreams as her sense of life fleeted away, she gazed at the tall tree above the mountain of steps.

'What could make me love you?'

Someone's voice echoed in her ears, the memory fresh and clear as it cleaved her core.

Clenching her fist in deep somber tears in her chest, she climbed the dilapitated wooden trunk.

Remembering those words, her tears fell silently like the gentle rain drops.

'Die....you useless child...you have no idea how much I wish you were never born.'

As she gazed below, she remembered what he said to her before she ran away not able to bear more than what she's already heard.

'Even if you die.....even then I would never love you. Love is only a concept for ones as weak and pathetic as you.'

She reminisced as he looked at her one final time in mocking hatred filled spite saying...

'Die and maybe I'll think about aknowledging you.'

She looked below her at the sight of the damp stone ground from the tree's high branch swaying steadily in the wind as she sat.

She's tried so hard yet...

Why?.....

Her eyes blurred in darkness as she drowned in her thoughts stemming from the bittering pain in her core.

She's tried so hard to be aknowledged by him...

Love.....why couldn't she have it..

That's right..... because she's pathetic..

Only the strong deserve love.....only those useful...

never for someone as useless as her...

The only way to...be useful is to....

'Die...'

'Die and maybe I'll think about acknowledging you.'

Those words echoed in her mind as her pain flooded her sense of reason as her sense of life disappeared.

"Oto-sama... he'll aknowledge me if I die..?"

She said in a hoarsely aching voice as despair and mocking laughter mixed and formed a maddening hue.

Tears running amuck and bitter laughter overflowing she gazed at the ground from her perch.

She covered her gasping breaths and misplaced cruel laughter with her hand but then she stood still silent.

"If I die... Oto-sama will aknowledge me?..."

She whispered to herself as her vision blurred.

She's tried everything she could. All of this was her limit.

Yet at the same time she drowned herself in it already...

She didn't know anything more than to yearn for his aknowledgement....

No matter how hard she tried it would be out of reach...

If she died.... she'd finally reach it..

What was the point of life anyway? if she'd just live catching something she'd never resch until the absence of it...

Indeed....she thought to herself as she felt herself let go of her hold from the tree as her body fell forward in the wind.

Even if he didn't give her the aknowledgement she yearned for if she died...

Then atleast she'd get peace from all this pain...

No one wanted her existence here anyway..

She told herself as her body splattered on ground blood seeping from her tiny skull.

Her eyes dim as she gazes on the ground.

Looking at the blurry image of her blood tainting the stone, she smiled peacefully losing conciouness.

In the darkness, she felt herself fade only to hear a voice calling for her in the space.

Oddly enough despite the state of her body from the fall, she felt herself walk towards it.

In a flash, her surroundings changed. The darkness was filled by colorful city lights as the busy streets bustled.

She was at a mountain on her clan's domain....how did she get to the city?

She couldn't help but admire even in the few times she's seen Tokyo's streets ..

Yet then she noticed the usual letters on the neon signs...

This wasn't Tokyo...

No.....this place wasn't even Japan...

Yet why did she feel more at home here than the place she lived her whole life...

Oddly enough she could read the letters....just fine.....

she's never learned another language...

how can she understand English all of a sudden...

But why did it feel like the thought of speaking anything but that odd?

Walking past her, a familiar figure ran across the street.

In a peculiar sensation, she followed it desperately.

The figure, a teenage girl, ate a subway hurriedly as she rode on her bike she got for her 13th birthday.

how odd...the girl thought...why did she know these things...in so much precision even...

The teenager then stopped by at the old cafe she grew up eating in to eat lunch while waiting for her childhood friend, Amy.

The little one followed her as they entered hearing the bell infront of the door ring.

The older girl sat in her usual spot by the painting on the wall as she smiled at the employee already knowing what she was about to order.

"The usual, kid?"

The middle aged lady, Aunt Suzie, said as she tied her hair up.

"Yep. Good to see there isn't a line. It's usually crowded here at this hour."

The teenager said as she pulled out a book seemingly from her backpack.

"It's a blizzard out there. It's a miracle you could even get here in a bike. I'll call your mom to pick you up after you eat to be safe."

The woman replied as she went to the kitchen to prep the order.

The young costumer then hummed ignoring the gazing girl almost as if she couldn't see her?...

The little one sat in front of the other but it seemed as if she really couldn't be seen.

She gazed as the teenager grinned maniacally holding the book she comes to realize was a manga.

It read....

'Jujutsu Kaisen.'

In curiosity, she decided to sit beside that person to see what was written that made her smile like that.

In the frame, a ragged woman stood bloodied fighting against her own father for killing her sister.

Maki...

In a sudden flash, the abstract panorama in her mind started to form a full blown blurry picture as the teenager who seemingly couldn't see her held her arm violently.

"Amy you're late!"

She told the younger girl.

That was when the feel of the spliddering cold winds of that day was remembered by her body that fell from confines of her bike that slipped from the road that day.

Had she not died she would be standing here in front of her friend...

Reminiscence of tears and melancholy filled her eyes.

Jujutsu kaisen...how could she forget.....it was her favorite....

her little addiction she infected her friend with..

As she ran to hug her friend, the surroundings fade as she awoke to the Japanese styled rooms of her clan.

In her sight that was trembling, two girls ran to her side.

"What were you thinking!? You nearly died! You're lucky Mai found you before your numbskull lost too much blood!"

One of them said furiously as she held the collar hem of the wounded girl's kimono.

Looking at the two sisters....the memories forming a blurry picture found a surging realization of confusion.

"You.....who are you?"

Amy asked as she cradled her aching head then noticing the sensation of a bandage.

"Did you hit your head too hard, Momiji Zenin! I'm Maki Zenin! Your older sister who's gonna beat you to your senses if I have to!"

Maki said growling despite tears edging from her eyes from worry.

"Zenin?..."

Amy whispered to herself.

"Momiji!! W-what were you thinking!? We b-barely had you patched up! I thought y-you'd die..."

The other girl said as Maki held her hand.

"Momiji...Mai and I thought you'd die... don't you dare climb a tree again."

Maki said somberly looking at the floor.

Zenin.... Jujutsu kaisen.....Momiji Zenin...

A whirlwind of two memories collided like a galactic force as my gaze shook...

I retched at the sudden sensation hearing the other two scream..

The odd confusion then took its toll as Momiji Zenin gazed into the mirror at her short green hair and traditional bangs as her golden eyes tiredly looked at the reflection.

"Dammit."

Momiji whispered as the realization finally settled and took it's place in the odd irregular puzzle replacing her sadness with a raging complaint.

She swore in a sense that if it was from her realization or from the sensation of blacking out could be up to one's eyes but...

Finally after the chaotic mess, Momiji Zenin lost consciousness swearing her first profanity of many in this life.
