The unbelievable

I closed my eyes 👁️ 👁️ waiting for anything to happen because I was ready for death. I just said a short prayer for God to forgive me all my sins before I die but I was shocked that it passed ten minutes without anything happening. I opened my eyes slowly to check if the creature was still there but to no prevail it wasn't. I didn't trust the prayer that time but it proved me wrong, that's when I believed that God is there. It also made me realized that I was not alone so I started to fear less. Raining stopped immediately after I the creature was nowhere to be found. I slept peacefully but it was still freezing. My aunty came outside when it was morning and the weather was no longer freezing but warm as there was sun. You could see with my aunties reaction that she was shocked that I was able to sleep.

Aunty: I can see now that you do that everyday because of how peacefully you have been sleeping.

"aunty"

Aunty: I don't have a family like you so don't call me aunty.! By the way i came here to tell you to leave my house immediately.

I didn't have any strength to argue with her. The only thing I could ask for was my belongings and luckily she allowed me to take them in a huge torn bag. The bag was so heavy with some two blankets that was bought before I was thirteen by my mother and grandmother.

A WEEK LATER

I was living in an abandoned home that was left because they say the house was haunted by ghosts but as someone who did not believe in ghosts, I didn't believe that story. I stayed in this house for three days but I didn't see anything strange. I had soap for washing and bathing from my school items that was for second term, food was the one which was lacking but I tried to survive with mango from a mango tree as it was mango season. I become tired of staying indoors for three days so I decided to sit at the gate for seeing people who will be passing by. An old lady who was walking with the stick approached me and said, "hey young lady I can see that you are brave for staying in that house".I replied with why Grandmother

Granny:All the people who lived moved because they have seen their plates being washed, their rooms being cleaned and food being cooked by the ghosts.

All the things she said,i have heard it before expect for the food being cooked. How come their ghosts never cooked me any food, it was unfair.

"but granny, do you know that those things that you mentioned never occurred in this house ever since I started living here".

Granny: when did you start living here?.

" it's three days"

Granny opened her mouth widely for a minute.

" what's wrong granny"

Granny: I'm just confused my child because the person who break the record of living here since two thousand and twelve lived for three days and I'm shocked that you haven't seen any sign that people complain about without living here for few hours.

"those people believe too much about ghosts I think"

Granny:the ghost are there for sure. I just think you are special I guess.

" I'm special for sure but not only me but everyone as well"

Granny:you are too clever. So what do you?

"ahh"

Granny:sorry for asking you this que

" no it's ok, I'm looking for a job that i can only do for two weeks and two days".

Granny:why do you want few days only?

" just grandma for part time you know"?

Granny: Alright, I will ask my son and please I want to see at this gate tomorrow at the same time because i don't want to enter inside this gate.

"Thank you granny, I will be here tomorrow for the whole day as i will be waiting for the good day".

I had some hope that I was gonna have something to do so that I will have money for the bus fee to go back to school. Not going to school was the last thing on my mind.

The following morning, I thoroughly wash myself and wore my favorite clothes as I was waiting for the good news.I sat at were granny saw me sitting yesterday but I ended up sitting there till eight in the evening and she didn't come. I was naive to think that she is late maybe as I was checking her on the window till I dozed off on eleven o'clock. In my whole life i have always trust everyone but they end up disappointing me but I always thought maybe something happened to them to break their promises. This was the day I never trusted anyone because to me enough was enough... I didn't wanna treated like a stupid person again. I started to look for a job and luckily I found a job in a shop for someone who was on leave for two weeks. My pay was hundred and fifty dollars and the bus fee I wanted was thirty dollars and I was do happy that I could by some food to eat for two weeks and save some for my next term school fees.

TWO WEEKS LATER

I board a bus early in the morning so that I will arrive at school before the sunset. I felt as if everyone was staring at me, I don't know why. The woman who was sitting next to me was eating like a two year old baby that she messed up my clean up uniform with here juice and soup.I tried to tell her how she was messing me but she was so stubborn.

Woman: hey you little rascal, leave me alone eating in peace"

" but how can i keep .....

Woman: I'm not your baby you don't talk to me like that...do you hear me?or else you will see.

(i put on a brave face)"I'm not afraid of you lady"

Woman: we only left with one kilometer for you to arrive at your school and I assume you know that you walk a distance to arrive at your school from the bus stop.

"Your words doesn't scare me, you can do that to others not me"

I was only trying to not let that lady not see me as a weak person but deep down, I was really scared. As i arrived at the bus stop, I was so scared to see that woman following me. I walked with my full chest like I couldn't see that they was someone following me. When I was in the road that was silent with no people, the lady approached me and started to laugh. My legs betrayed me, instead of running they started to shake and that lady ....
