CH002 meeting Doc Hudson

Next Morning

Doc POV

After meeting up with an old racing buddy and dealing with a very energetic Mater on the phone about some meteorite I started driving back home, travelling past the crater and seeing how deep and big it was.

Max POV

I woke up that morning exited to test myself and get the lay of the land. What I really wanted to do was to find the dirt track the Doc has built.

After 30 mins of exploring going past the cursed statue that McQueen uses to tear up the road, flo's cafe and finally going a bit out of town to find the dirt track.

It was finally time, time to find out if I could succeed in becoming a racer or if I was destined to be a nobody again.

Pulling up to the starting line, everything goes dead quiet.

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

I take off faster then I did on the highway and faster then I even thought I could go. I could feel the wind streaming Ed my hood and before I knew it I was already into turn one. The massive wall.

Compared to in the moving the wall towered so high up above me that I felt giddy looking up how high you could drive up while taking the corner.

After about an hour on the track I realised I haven't even felt tired. That's when it occurred to me that as a transformer, I have energon and my spark that powers me. The only reason I could think I would need sleep is because of my mental state if I stayed up for to long.

As I was going around the track I felt like I should test something. I slowly willed myself to change and I watched as metallic ripples moved from the front of me to the back and slowly I changed into a 1979 Dodge Charger, my big engine roared and the sound of my enshrine changed as well, again I changed and again the ripples came, and I found myself in on of the fastest cars I knew, a Bugatti Veyron. I was about to try being a plane but realised if I went to high (which I totally would if I could suddenly be a plane) everyone would see me and question why a plane was here.

Doc POV

As I arrived back into town, I noticed everyone looked down in the dumps and I wasn't sure why. I asked sheriff why everyone was down but he didn't answer.

"Hey Doc, I see your back from your trip." - Sally

"Hey Sally, why is everyone so upset." -Doc

"We had someone staying the night, but he left before anyone could sell him anything and Guido and Luigi could see a Ferrari." - Sally

I was shocked to say the least. I was gone for two days and someone has come to town after about a year of solitude, I was about to try and cheer them up when I heard a loud engine over by the track

"I'll go check out that noise you guys wait here." - Doc

OoOOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOooOoOoOoOoOoO

I was thinking about all the races I've been in, all the stunts I've pulled, and all the effort I went through to get at my peak. I was so frustrated after giving my whole life to racing that I was so easily cast aside.

Then I saw him …. A red and white striped Ferrari moving around the track faster than any car should be able to. He was racing on the dirt track like I used to, without any practice.

Then I saw something that shouldn't be possible. He changed. First into a 1970 Dodge Charger then into one of the most famous cars in the world, a Bugatti Veyron. He drove around the track faster and faster getting better and better.

I decided to go back into town before I make my decision and tell everyone else he's still here.

Maximus POV

I got into town and everyone looked down. I didn't know why, but there was something I had to know since I got here. Since I'm a transformer, the question how's to be answered, could I drink fuel.

Moving over to Flo's mater saw me and started to drive over.

"Well howdy max." - Mater

"Hey Mater, do you know why everyone is upset?" - Max

"Probably something to do with you leaving and all after saying you wanted to stay here and nobody got to sell you anything after someone finally came here after awhile." - Mater

"Ok we'll I'm still here so they shouldn't be upset for much longer." - Max

"Haha yeah I knew you wouldn't leave so fast, you haven't got to meet Doc yet. Anyway I'm heading to get fuel at Flo's wanna come." Mater proceeded to give me a fist bum— or tire bump I should say.

"Sure Mater I was just heading there myself." - Max

Sally POV

I really thought after all this time, someone new had finally come to radiator springs. But I realised a fancy car like max would never stay here.

Then I heard Mater talking to someone so I looked around the corner and there he was. The amount of joy I felt in that moment was immeasurable to anything. I was so happy max hadn't left yet and moved onto the next town.

Next thing I knew I was going around telling everyone that Maximus was still here.

Max POV

Pulling up to the cafe I noticed everyone wasn't as upset before and talking with each other. Noticing a light blue and yellow Italian car I smiled to myself.
