A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

Tokyo, Japan,

Aichi Academy Dorms,

Yukino POV,

In a well lit room that looked to be fairly ornate with the neat and dark wooden furniture, carpet covered ground and covered walls lit up by open windows. A large bed laid in the centre with a table to it's side, a lamp was present atop the table itself.

A petite blonde girl with red eyes sat at the bed, an unnerving smile plastered on her face,

"My lady, we can not find who did it."

"Yes you've told me that... a few times now." Koharu replied shifting her legs slightly, they didn't even need to conduct an investigation though, she knew about the perpetrator already.

"Of course.. I saw this coming." She smiled sweetly, it was anyone's guess after all. Who were they in front of those that stood at the top of the very world? So far up that they couldn't help but look down on everyone else... People with monopoly over economies and many many important aspects of life.

Yukino rubbed her chin, slightly tilting her blank face, "You don't look angry at all." This was supposed to be Koharu's way to achieve her goals, it didn't make sense for her to not be angry.

"I confess I'd be livid if this happened out of nowhere." Koharu slightly sighed, the damages were a little costly, their reputation would be somewhat affected too considering a bombing had taken place. "I didn't expect them to be this... well, assertive and offended." It would be sanctions at most or a budget cut.. but then again, it wasn't a complete surprise.

"I see,.... I don't get it." Yukino stated calmly, who was Koharu even talking about?

"Well of course, the Hayes! We did kind of expel their son, no? Naturally they'd be offended by such an act. How could you not see this coming Yukino?" It didn't take a genius to make the connections, the family patriarch had been on the news just a few days ago!

"As they did with the Yakuza, they did with me. I'd heard of their spitefulness but consider me pleasantly surprised." Koharu went on a rather unnerving rant, had they even cared about this getting out?.. No, of course they didn't, with their power, if they truly wanted it, they could shut this place down for good!

It wouldn't take more than a month for her to have the building repaired and up and running again so it wasn't quite a setback at all. It had been made more apparent to Koharu that certain forces were not to be trifled with..

Only she misunderstood one imperative detail, the Hayes 'family' had nothing to do with this. The sole perpetrator of the 'attack' as well as the one who carried it out was Samuel himself, it was an act that befit his past.

Koharu decided to be more careful moving forward, it did take a toll on her funding after all.

"Hmmmm." Yukino looked up with a finger over her lips, did they end up messing with a bigshot?

"Well, deal with this. Announce holidays for a month or two, I'm certain the students would be overjoyed." Koharu stood up with a big smile, her sharp teeth showing in the process.

Though there was one sneaking fear in the back of her mind.

Was it truly an explosive that had caused such a thing? Especially with mentions of a visible arc for a few moments.

Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya,

Samuel POV,

Samuel sat on his bike with a small smile, waiting outside the house.. for his mother.

Earlier, she had told him that she had somewhere to go and that if he was free, he should tag along. Samuel, being the diligent son he was, didn't quite like sending her off alone and decided to do just that. As such, he had returned after dropping off Rin and that brought him to his current situation.

"Mornin, sir." A man in a grey jumpsuit bowed politely, holding a hand over his cap (of unironically, the very same colour) and Samuel reflexively nodded back, "Morning."

He slightly tilted his head, somewhat confused by the sudden appearance but soon connected the dots seeing the man appraise the door lying inside and then open up his toolbox.

While Samuel didn't quite understand how he would put it back, it wasn't his field of expertise either so he chose to not meddle needlessly.

'I mean, the hinges were the only things that got dislodged. I doubt he can't fix them with the proper tools.' Echidna was quick to explain, even if she knew that Samuel didn't need said information anyway.

Samuel hummed in thought, admittedly he didn't quite like relying on the wealth from his family.. It was pretty unavoidable regardless.

"Oh you're back, thanks!" Mei 'ran' up to him with a happy smile, yes she ran up to him.

"Shouldn't you be more aware of your age?" Samuel asked with a small sigh, this time properly getting on the bike.

"What do you mean?" Mei tilted her head in slight confusion, what did age have to do with a person's personality? She got in behind her son, while Mei didn't know if he could drive properly with a passenger, she trusted that her son could.

"Nevermind, can you tell me the address?" Samuel asked politely, making up his mind to drive at a slow speed.

Tokyo, Japan,

Undisclosed Location,

Samuel POV,

Samuel astutely observed his surroundings, this place was around an hour off their own home so it wasn't exactly close. He was certain they were in an entirely other ward of Tokyo now and it was apparent from the way the houses were built.

Numerous houses in ordered rows built in a generally same style with two floors at the very least were present throughout the area. They'd been painted a shade of white and each had a small yard at the back in which different things were present, varying from house to house, and had a fence all around them as well with an iron front gate.

Mei looked considerably excited and Samuel too felt that the place was rather familiar, more specifically, the house they were standing in front of at the moment.

However, before he could even reach for the metal gates, the door was opened in a hurry, "See you later, mo-...?!"

A girl in a school uniform with a yellow sweater over it, ran out of the house... only to freeze on the spot as soon as her gaze landed on Samuel. Cold sweat formed on her pale skin as her breathing also came to a halt, her eyes instantly turning fearful..

Samuel had an epiphany then and recognised the person before him, he hadn't seen or visited them much but Samuel didn't forget anything he had seen once. "I didn't see this coming." He admitted.

His father, Ren was from the Hayes family of course but his mother was of civilian background, their marriage wasn't an arranged one but rather one out of love. The Hayes did prioritise their own family and will in the face of power after all so it was understandable.

Back to important topics however, before her surname had been changed to Hayes (As in Mei Hayes) it was Yotsuya. The golden eyed girl with long straight pitch black hair was Samuel's cousin from his mother's side.

He hadn't seen her in a while so was rather surprised when the girl from back then had become a strange combination of cute and hot at the same time.

"Ah, Miko-chan! How've you been? School going okay? Hehe, did you get a boyfriend or something?" Mei instantly bombarded the teenager with question after question, surmising that it wasn't fear but rather surprise and walked up to her before hugging her with a cheery smile.

Miko Yotsuya, recognised the woman in front of her but it was more of, it was impossible to forget someone as eccentric as Mei.. Her father's sister and her own aunt, "U-Umm, I'm alright." She managed to stutter out with a small nod, trying her best to remain nonchalant and calm.

She fearfully turned her gaze towards Samuel, whom she didn't recognise, it was nice to meet her aunt but..

W-What was that?

W-Why was something like that h-here?

Miko couldn't help but look down and shudder, not having enough courage to look Samuel in the eyes.

Waves upon waves of literal darkness were rolling off the teenager to the point where she couldn't even see him... All Miko could actually see were a pair of dark eyes staring at her. They swallowed everything behind them, nothing was even visible except just darkness.

To say that she was terrified would be an understatement, Miko had never seen something like this in her entire life.

"Umm... sup." Samuel awkwardly waved his hand, Mei may have been oblivious but he knew that the girl was terrified for some reason.

'Can....she? ..How is..?' Echidna was confused and intrigued.

"U-Umm, I have to go to school n-now so b-bye!" Miko clenched her bag and ran forward, not daring to raise her head and in the process bumped into Samuel.. but, paid it no heed and ran off to the side...

But then, a sudden realisation hit her...

Would it hurt her family?

Samuel got a unique cousin eh?

This should give you a hint as to why his mother's been having headaches in his presence if you factor in that these types of abilities usually come from family lines and stuff.

Samuel's physical strength was to some extent inhuman right from the start. You can see that Ren exhibits inhuman physical prowess too. The dude literally ripped open the ground.
