CHAPTER 11: TRAINING GRIND

The sacred family has been quiet lately. They didn't even report the robbery. Probably because some items in the stolen items can implicate them that they are in league with the dark guild. Like the financial documents for the dark guild and the list of salary records fir dark guild members. Also assassination listing and paid for by the sacred family.

Among the stolen goods were land deeds and also sacred family and dark guild tokens. So sacred family is keeping quiet due to the culprit might put these things on the open. They didn't send any assassination attempts on Nie Li at this time, unlike the story of the original. But they did send spies to monitor him. And have orders if they find any of the stolen goods to report it back so they can strike with the full personnel on Nie Li and his mystery master.

At Kwangsoo's compound, we see Chen Zhenlong, Chen Lian Jian, Kwangsoo and all the heads of the servants and Jisoo. For a while now, Jisoo's relation with Kwangsoo has been improving. They can't take back their sold land because it was done by Xiao Yi's leadership. So it was a loss. But he got compensation for the disruption of their business that the sacred family unwillingly paid.

The sacred family was not worried though. To them, they will take everything back once the horde arrives. And they will get their revenge.

Meanwhile, Kwangsoo jist checked out of the alchemy association. He was also inspected by guards but came put clean. He was escorted to his home. Before he let the inspection team in, He turned off the array that provide the energies to his compound. Then let the inspection team in.

They were surprised at the site if the backyard. They were filled with fruit trees and rare herbs growing. There was a ranch and domesticated animals. The storerooms was stock to the brim with food with a preservation inscription. There were also rooms for soldiers and an armory full of weapons. Nothing was illegal since he have all the permits and records of all his belongings thanks to Chen Zhenlong. The pills in the pill room also is checked out. They know he is a alchemy master and have rare herbs, so it's natural that he create pills in his time off.

They were also surprised with all the servants. They are dress nicely like nobles and have high cultivation. Even the chef and gardener was no different. They now decided in their minds to never make the divine family an enemy.

After they left, Kwangsoo again activated the array. He then trained some self defense routine he once study back when he was in special forces in the army. He practiced mixed martial arts. Because in a real fight, taekwondo, aikido and other martial arts are just dance routine stances. Once grappling is involved, their punches become pats. There are to many unnecessary movements in it. Optimizing it in mixed martial arts is better. He also have Jeetkun do mixed in his arts.

A week later, he heard the news that the alchemy association director bought the nightmare demon pot. Which he knows was given to Nie Li. He kept his routine, but was forced by his now adoptive father to spar everyday which made him unwillingly get stronger. They both broke through 4 star black gold rank. Chen Zhenlong really want to break in the legend rank because Kwangsoo said it was just the beginning. So he was so behind in his head. Kwangsoo was sore everywhere at the end of the day everyday. He cursed at Zhenlong all day during training in which Zhenlong just laugh at him. Lian Jian was glad all tge attention was on Kwangsoo, so he took it easy when sparring with Ming. Jisoo broke through 4 star gold rank which earned her a day off and a celebratory feast from Kwangsoo. It shows that he care about her a lot. The days go by like this until the 2 week spring break was over. The start of the new school semester was gonna start. Nie Li came back with Nie Yu his cousin which will be attending the institute in a few years. He got permission from the city lord due to the fact that Nie Yu have a fast cultivation rate that will easily pass bronze rank soon. Shen Fei and Shen Yue also was better but still incomplete men. Shen Yue did a private examination and was entered in the genius class also since he got 1 star bronze rank. Shen Fei on the other hand was hating the wind dragon family for breaking the engagement. He was utter humiliated when the word got out of his demised circumcision. He was the butt of all jokes. He punished the ones who even smirk or what he thinks was laughing at him. All the girls don't see him attractive anymore. So yeah, he is pissed. It was Karma and he had to deal with it for the rest of his life.
