Plan (3) Matter of time

In the evening inside the Count office, Adam decided to inform his father about Edith's desire to stay temporarily in Durham Kingdom. He explains her reasons to his father Count Sietrich Geneivre as to why Edith want to lived in there. He was listening while sometimes looks like pondering over it.

"I personally asked Father to agree on to Ed's wishes. This will definitely help ed's to rebuild her figure in the aristocracy, she wouldn't become a mockery target by other nobles' when the rumors about her were forgotten." Adam's stated, remembering his little sister nicknames among nobles.

She was called seducer, rotten vixen, and shameless bitch but the worst part of it was truly based on her nature.

Very accurate if he would say. The way she acts, and do.... lived to her nicknames.

"I'll talk to the prime minister about it. Let's pray for the king permission upon this matter." Said the Count while taking a quill pen and write something on a blank paper. Writting a letter.

He folds the well written letter and placing it inside and envelope, covering it with wax stamped by Geneivre family crest.

"Derrick, send this to the prime minister as soon as possible."

"I will."

Sietrich handed the envelope to his butler by placing it on top the tray, His letter contains Sietrich's desire to meet with the prime minister, discussing his daughter's wish to stay for a few years in Durham Kingdom.

The count expression remains stoic as usual, but Adam's could see a subtle change on his father face. He was rather happy to hear that, it shows from how rashly he was asking the prime minister for an audience.

Later than, both of them spent the night in the office to discuss previous matters in a meeting at the palace.

In the morning, Edith and her mother Countess Estrilda sat in the garden while enjoying a Darjeeling tea. The men in the house had already disappeared since this morning to work, the count who check the condition of Geneivre areas and Adam who went to work in the palace as an imperial knight of the royal family. They leave both of them to spend some times together as a mother and daughter.

Geneivre household garden was quite beautiful, when the spring comes the wysteria flower painted it sceneries. Several roses and tulips decorating the flower beds looks pleasing in the eyes. This was because the countess herself personally taking care the garden.

Surely, the servants who was working at the garden section were all mesmerized by the view because the mother and daughter's pair obviously seems like a goddess on earth.

Edith clear blue hair and her pair red eyes inherited from her mother, as for the sharp feature on her eye comes from her father 'Sietrich'.

On the other hand, Edith who looks at the sceneries felt dejected because she can't take its picture and uploading it on her past social media.

"My dear Ed, I heard from your father about your plan to stay at the Durham Kingdom for a few years, is it true ?" The Countess questioned her carelessly, causing her to choke on the tea she was drinking.

Estrilda looking straight at her daughter figure, seeing Selena handed a handkerchief to her as she was busily wiping the water drips.

Her mother question waking her up from the past reminiscence. Edith saw her mother with panicked eyes plastered on her face.

"U-ummm ... How did Mother awa-"

"Your Father told me last night, and... I am just asking are you sure about this ?"

Estrilda saw her daughter in the eyes as she put the cup of tea on the table.

Maybe, just maybe she thought her daughter was scheming something.

"I know my daughter fancy the crown prince, and it almost impossible to erase one's feeling in one night." She said while looking at the tea surface on the cup.

"Did something happens at the ball ?"

Edith who heard it went rigid, but sighing in the end when she saw her mother was truly worried.

"You see mother..."

"There's nothing much happen."

'Actually something truly happen, I happen to notice that I was inside the novel'

"Its just that the crown prince dance with another noble lady." She said as she's silently studying her mother reaction. Estrilda sat still listening to her daughter.

"I was trying to make the crown prince noticing me, but to my surprise... he looked at me in disgust."

'Well yea, the real Edith did deserve that but his bugger-face was annoying'

Unknowingly to Edith, she was frowning and it wasn't go unnoticed by the Countess.

"And, I've had enough of him when he was blatantly ignoring me at my coming of age banquet. In fact, when I see him, I could take a guess that he was rather interested in another lady from Lenag household."

'Still, it was uncertain as did this world following the novel story or it could be changed because if the world did take its courses of event then I would die eventually.'

"I want to start a new, Mother."

'I don't want to die.'

"And, I don't want a shitty suitor because of my rumors."

'Not when I am still a virgin.'

Pair of Estrilda eyes widen when she heard a word 'shitty' comes from her daughter mouth. She was faking her cough and erasing her shocked, Estrilda could feel her daughter sadness.

"I see..."

It was what she was saying when she looked at Edith.

"In that case, I'll inform my relatives at there to pay you a visit sometimes. Make sure to tell them if you need help, they will come to your assistance." She said while tucking Edith strands of hair back on the earlobes.

"Relatives ?" Edith immediately frown when she heard her mother words.

"Yes, I never told you didn't I ?" Her mother smiling playfully. "It's fine, they were good people. Rest assured." She continued.

"No, its alright mother. As long as they treat me well, I am fine with them."

'Yes, it's fine. I don't want to know her secret birth.'

Edith tried to dismiss her thought about Estrilda origins, she had too much on her plate and another dish might be made her stomach upset.

"Anyway, they had red eyes like us so you can recognized them right away." She stated, while Edith only nodding her head for her respond.

Edith and her mother spent their time until lunch, and she excused herself back to her room.
