"EHhhh?!! What did you say?!!"

- "I said let's get married."

"w-what are you talking about?" I asked, sweat starting to form on my temple.

"Miss. Calista are you alright?" My colleague asked me after I had just screamed.

I laughed awkwardly and ran outside the office to find a quiet place to talk.

"S-so you were saying you wanted to m-marry me?" I asked nervously. I had no idea why I was stuttering this .. this was just too unexpected.

-"yes LET'S MARRY". He enunciated each word thinking I didn't hear him properly.

"hahaha I-I did hear you the first time but what do you mean? I am having some trouble understanding you. hahaha." I laughed awkwardly and tried to stay calm when on the inside I was screaming!

-"is that so?" he asked. How can he be so calm?!.

"Well you see.. I'm taken aback to hear you say that over the phone too...and I don't think this is something we should talk about over the phone hahaha.." I said as I tried my best to stay calm.

I got into the elevator and pressed the buttons nervously. I need to get out of this place and get some fresh air. This is driving me crazy. I paced back and forth in the elevator. Why is this taking so long?

The other end of the phone was silent for few seconds. I thought he hung up on me when suddenly what he said fell on me like the thunder.

he said " Then let's talk in person. "

"Yes, I think we should do that... wait WHAT?? uhh NO NO NO let's- Let's just talk over the phone!! " I must've been crazy to think that talking about it in person was a good idea!

-"so let's just talk over the phone? " he asked for confirmation.

"Yeah totally! talking over the phone is much better!". Please I just hope that we don't meet each other In person not even accidentally!!.
