Chapter 9

It was 1 in the afternoon on Wednesday. We had our Basic Hero Training class and Aizawa was addressing us.

"Now for the basic hero training. This time, All Might, myself and one another hero will supervise. Preparing you for disaster relief, from fire to floods, it's rescue training."

The class was excited.

"Rescue huh... it'll be another rough day!"

"Come on! This is what a hero's all about! I'm pumped!!"

Annoyed at being ignored Aizawa glared at us and said, "I wasn't done yet! It's up to you whether or not you wear your hero costumes. As some of them are ill-suited for this sort of activity. The training site is a bit remote so we'll be taking a bus. That's all. Get ready."

A few minutes later, we boarded the bus and began talking among each other.

"Everyone! Form a line before boarding the bus!"

"Asui, look, he's doing your job for you."

I sighed and said to the robot boy, "Iida.. What the hell are you doing?"

"Asui! as the class representative, you should be overseeing that everyone is behaving in a disciplined way!"

I raised a brow at him and asked, "Should be? Come on, even a kindergartener knows how to board a bus. Are you seeing anyone pushing others away or crowding the bus door? We are college students, not inbred simpletons. So, losen up a little, yeah?"

He looked indignant over my nonchalance, but, did as told, none the less.

Yaoyorozu was also beside me and I asked her, "Is everyone on the bus?"

"Yeah."

"Let's go in."

We took our seats and the bus drove away towards USJ.

Propranolol... I had checked with the local medical store the other day. It was not given without prescription. I didn't have the miracle anti-anxiety drug, so, I was extra careful not to spiral.

I engaged in small talk to distract myself from the thought of facing the 'League of Villains' in a few minutes.

"Midoriya, you live in Musutafu, right? What are some good eating points here?"

Mineta, who was listening, asked, "Oh? Do you have a girlfriend? What does she look like? Have you done the dirty with her? Tell us the details!"

"Mineta!"

"Come on!"

Since Tsuyu wasn't there to slap him with her tongue, I grabbed his face between my fingers like a ball and said, "While I don't have a girlfriend, you should really mind what you say to anyone in public, or personally. People tend to... disappear a lot."

Iida looked scandalized and said, "Asui! You cannot threaten someone like that!"

Once again, I looked at him with a hint of displeeasure and said, while squeezing Mineta's face with my fingers, "Dude, he's an adult. He can be charged for shit he could get away with as a juvenile. If you wanna be a pervert, do it behind closed doors."

"Ow! It hurts! I give up, Asui! I can't feel my face!"

Kirishima asked him, "Can you generally feel your face?"

Mineta stopped struggling and thoughtfor a moment before saying, "... Good point."

"Promise you'll cool it down?"

"Yes! Yes! Please release my face!"

After I released him, he gently massaged his face that had my fingertips printed into it.

"Ow... I feel sorry for the girl who will marry you. Khyaa!! Sorry! Won't do it again!"

I just wrapped him up with a vine whip and sighed at the irredeemable pervert.

"Asui-san, what exactly is your quirk?"

That got the attention of all my classmates.

Shrugging, I said, "I call it ultimate frog, because, I can do pretty much anything a frog can do... along with some more. I can even produce poison like a poison-dart frog."

Kirishima joined in the conversation, "Hey that's kind of awesome! It's like a strength enhancement quirk! You can do a lot of cool stuff with it! My quirk is hardening. Even though I'm good in a fight, it's a pretty lame quirk."

That was not a nice attitude to have about his quirk. Every quirk was awesome in its own way. So I smiled and said, "I think it's pretty neat though. Your quirk is more than enough if you wanna go pro."

After a small light-minded discussion about cool quirks and mocking Katsuki for his temper, we reached our destination.

I marvelled at the huge facility as we entered it. The size of it was enormous. Mineta was still wrapped up in my vine whip.

Standing at the gate, we were greeted by the third hero who was supposed to supervise us.

"There's the flood zone, landslide zone, conflagration zone, etcetera. Every disaster and accident you can imagine. I built this facility myself. I call it, The 'Unforseen Simulation Joint.'"

It was the space hero, Thirteen. Uraraka was especially excited to see her idol hero. It was kinda cute to see her jumping on her feet as she fan-girled at the hero.

Aizawa looked around and spoke to the space hero, "Thirteen, where's All Might? I thought he was meeting us here."

"About that, senpai...," Thirteen whispered the rest to Aizawa. It was such a low whisper that I couldn't discern what she was saying.

"So be it. Let's get started."

After Thirteen explained how her quirk was very dangerous but she used it to save lives, I felt like I'd found a kindered spirit. My poison was so deadly that a drop of it could kill more than twenty fully grown adults in a matter of minutes.

Suddenly, I felt the vibrations of something in the air. A black misty vortex appeared in the centre of USJ and a large group of men and women walked out of it, lead by a man covered all over my hands. It was Shigaraki.

I immediately released Mineta andturned to Aizawa and said, "Sensei, villains."

Aizawa nodded back.

I continued, "Could this be related to that security breach made by the media a few days ago?"

"That is most probable, Asui."

They breached U.A.'s gates and now they had appeared right in front of us in a secluded area, away from the main campus. As I tried to sense the vibrations in the air, I could feel the villains being spread in every corner of USJ.

"It looks like a pre-planned appearance, sensei. I can feel vibrations of villains in every zone."

His eyes hardened, Aizawa yelled to the class, "Huddle up and don't move! It's the villains!!"

Shigaraki spoke in a tone filled with controlled madness, "Where is he...? We've come all this way and with so many playmates. All Might... the Symbol of Peace... is he here...? I wonder if some dead kids will bring him here?"

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.
