Chapter 44

"Again!"

*BZZZZZT*

The pain was nigh unbearable as my body thrashed against my bindings. I was tortured at the base of the League of Villains. Out of all kinds of torture methods, Shigaraki had chosen electricity. I didn't know for how long, but it had been a while.

I could feel it. My body was getting used to the shocks.

'Charge.'

With my ability, Protean, I had become an electric type person. The shocks were no longer painful, and much to Shigaraki's frustration, I was not screaming in pain any longer.

"Why? Why?! Why aren't you in pain?! Increase the voltage!! I don't care if he lives or not!! I want to hear him scream!!"

"Shigaraki Tomura, we need him to cure you from the poison that he injected in your body."

"I don't care!!! We'll have Daruma use his body to make the antidote!! Increase the voltage, now!!!! I've been in pain for so many days... I want him to go through the same pain until he dies!!!"

Kurogiri hesitated for a moment, but he complied and shocked me again with an even greater current. But no matter what, it just wasn't hurting me anymore.

'I can feel it... The current... It feels enriching... Like a warm broth.'

"Why isn't it working?!?!" Shigaraki screamed.

Then, he yanked the gag out of my mouth and screamed into my face, "You've thwarted my plans every time!! My plan to kill All Might, in that mall when I just wanted to meet that Midoriya, and now in that forest!!! Every single time!! Why?! Why is it always you?! We lost five members of the League in our very first mission!! And three of them were caught because of you!!"

He backed away and looked at his trembling hands. Then he said, "I'm always in pain when I try to move my arms. My hands refuse to listen to me. Every time I try to use my quirk, my arms and my head feel like they're on fire!! Even now.. I want to turn you to dust, but the pain.. It's killing me... I hate you!! I will kill, maim, and destroy everyone you care for!!! Do you hear me?! I will ruin their lives! Your family, I will have Daruma harvest their organs. I will have them become my Nomu. And then, I will use them to kill you."

Shaking his head, he turned away and mumbled, "No... That's not it. No. Daruma will make 'you' a Nomu. Yes. That's it. You will become a Nomu who will have no control over its body. But you will know everything you will be doing under my command. Hehehehahahaaha!!! I will make you kill your father! Your mother and your siblings! Then, I will use you to kill everyone at U.A., all the while you will watch yourself destroy lives around you!!"

In response to everything he'd said, I gargled and spat a blob of phlegm at his face. Then, I said, "You can't do shit. Right now, you can't even shit and wash your asshole without that Kurogiri's help. You're unable to use your arms and hands. You can't use your quirk, and frankly, you look like a corpse that was pulled out of the gutter. You are nothing. Your ambition is nothing. Your ideals are nothing. Your power is nothing. Your existence is nothing. You're a pawn for a psychopath's whims. Nothing else. In the end, you're just a nobody who dreams of becoming something he doesn't even understand. A weak minded fool with an ego of the size of a skyscraper and a shame of an existence."

Shigaraki was so enraged that he couldn't even speak. His eyes were bloodshot, and his body was trembling from his maddening anger.

I knew that he was going to kill me. So, I saw the chance and used my powers.

'Supersonic.'

Everyone around me stumbled and lost their footing because of disorientation.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Pizza delivery!"

"W-Who ordered a pizza?! Huh?!"

'It's not pizza. It's my ticket out of here without having to reveal my new powers.'

*Boom*

It was too fast. The heroes had come with a killer mindset, and they dealt with the League indiscriminately. Luckily for Shigaraki, All Might usually abstained from killing if he could help it.

Kamui Woods was quick to bind all the villains using 'Lacquered Chain Prison', followed by Edgeshot quickly knocking most of them out. I used the distraction to use 'Bulk Up' and 'Nasty Plot' before breaking myself out of my bindings.

Suddenly, I could feel bile rise in my throat. It felt like I was going to throw up. Nomus began to appear out of fluid like portals, and chos ensued.

There was a loud explosion that rattled the building we were in, and every villain present, along with me, was enveloped by the murky fluid.

The next thing I could see was a ruin. A tall man in a suit stood in front of me with a technological mask covering his face. I knew instantly that he was none other than 'All for One'.

"Asui Tozen." His chilling voice sent a dhiver down my spine. The others soon appeared from the portals.

"You've failed again, haven't you, Tomura? Well, that may be so, but you mustn't be discouraged. You should simply start over. Look, I even returned your comrades to you. As well as this young man who poisoned you. You can try as many times as you like. That's why your sensei is here! This is all for your sake."

I began laughing uproariously at the ridiculousness of the situation. Then I shouted, "You're his sensei?! No wonder he's a maniac! A fucking psychopath raising his own pawn and manipulating everyone, this is textbook! Hah! I knew you were too dumb to see something so obvious, Shigaraki! This mask freak who calls himself your sensei, he is a typical example of a psychopath and a narcissist!!"

I looked at AFO and asked, "For how many years have you groomed this pathetic, weak willed, walking excuse of a human?!"

Before anyone could react to my outburst, All Might flew in at breakneck speeds and tackled AFO. The latter not only blocked All Might, but he even repelled the tackle with ease.

My eyes were trained on Shigaraki the entire time All Might and AFO exchanged blows. Then, AFO decided to forcefully activate Kurogiri's quirk to help Shigaraki and the League members escape.

'Now!'

As Shigaraki moved towards the portal, and amongst all the dust and confusion, I used 'Quick attack' to close in towards him. When I was close, combined with quick attack...

'Guillotine!'

*Squelch*

Everyone stopped around me... From the body language of AFO, I could tell that he was shocked.

Shigaraki Tomura, or Shimura Tenko, the boy he raised as a perfect pawn against All Might...

AFO watched as Shigaraki's head flew away, detached from his body, and landed with a thunk on the broken ruins of the Nomu factory. I grabbed the headless carcass of Shigaraki, and using 'Shadow Sneak', I took his head. Then, using shadow sneak again, I left the vicinity of the battle.

In that moment, I could tell that AFO's entire world had come crashing down on him. His years of effort in cultivating the perfect pawn who could steal 'One for All', was killed in front of his very eyes.
