The Zanpakuto Reveal and Mental Copies

15 chapters in my Pat.reon.

(General P.O.V)

He finally had all the pieces. Asahi brought the blue ball of boost energy to his chest and watched it combine with the Hogyoku. Immediately, Asahi felt the difference. His mouth opened up wide as light shone forth from it and his eyes.

The Hogyoku's light grew in intensity until a loud crack was heard as it shattered inside Asahi's chest. But the process was already complete. Every person with above normal spiritual energy sensed it. A massive amount of spiritual energy that came from nowhere and everywhere at once. Then it abruptly disappeared.

But the energy didn't end, Asahi's realm simply changed. A soul ascension had happened and nothing on this universe could sense his Reiatsu anymore. Nothing except for the remaining wisp of the sealed god of this whole dimension, The Soul King.

(The Interface's Space)

Asahi opened his eyes and found himself in a dark void with criss crossing circuit lines that converged into one singular multicolored swirling ball of endless processing power. The  Matrix of The Interface. He wasn't alone either in this space. His eyes made contact with the Main's back. The main was staring into a screen that showed his body floating inside a purple capsule in a gray and featureless dimension.

Asahi looked around in confusion then down at himself.

"I was trying to enter my soul space to finally meet my Zanpakuto yet…here I am. In the space housing the core of the Interface."

Brian looked back at his clone and smiled.

"Indeed. Here you are."

He walked over and patted his shoulder. His eyes glowed as he activated True Reveal and whistled.

"You have grown immensely. Your strength is unrivalled even by the gods of destruction. I would say you're just as strong as me now."

Asahi scoffed.

"Just like you wanted. Do you know how stressful it was to deal with those nosy soul reapers? "

Brian rolled his eyes.

"You took on a bit more of my laziness than I thought. In any case, it's complete." Brian went silent as he looked at his clone while biting his lip. "Do you get it now? The reason you don't have a Zanpakuto…"

"It's because in essence…I am the Zanpakuto."

He sounded unsure yet he had suspected this to be true numerous times before.

"Your Zanpakuto. The extension of your soul energy given form. You split yourself into three parts and changed the ki of the clone you wanted to train your soul power, into spiritual energy through the Interface. That's why I had massive amounts of Reiatsu from the word go." Asahi paced as he came to the obvious conclusion, wondering why he hadn't connected the dots.

"I was never a soul reaper was I? Instead, my whole being is similar to the Soul King. That's why I could control the reishi in the air and absorb it like a Quincy. It's also why I was able to create a garganta to go to Hueco Mundo without a single issue."

Brian nodded in confirmation.

There was a brief silence between the two that ended when Brian sighed.

"You know all this time, I have been in a race. Asuma screwed up the rhythm and the tone of…well basically everything. For so long I've been focused on the grind because I'm so terrified of losing everything I've worked for. Scared of giving up on my dream."

Asahi spared a look at the main.

"It's a stupid dream, you know that right?"

Brian laughed.

"Yet look at how far we've reached. I'll be honest with you. Over time, I've come to realize it's not even about Natasha. What I've been chasing all this time is the idea of it all."

Asahi looked confused.

"Let me explain. My life before all this, wasn't a happy one. I was all alone. No one probably cared about me even when I died back on my real earth. So this chance…was a fresh start for me to…have a family that loves me, fall in love, explore new places and overall have the power to decide what I want for my life. Having control of it, Asahi. No one to dictate my fate."

"Except Asuma."

Asahi said. Brian had a grim look on his face as he nodded.

"Except Asuma. He threatens the freedom I have come to cherish so much." Brian turned his eyes to his body floating in the dimension previously known as the Dark Dimension.

"Which is why he needs to go."

"Now what?"

Brian had a thoughtful look on his face as he considered the question.

"Initially, nothing would have changed. I would have just dispelled you and that would be it. But…after thinking about it for a while, maybe you deserve to li…"

"Stop!"

Asahi had a glare on his face as stared at Brian.

"Do you have any idea what you're talking about?"

A look of confusion appeared on the Latter's face.

"I don't understand what the problem is."

A chuckle escaped the clones' mouth.

"Of course you don't. Let me educate you on the existence of clones such as I, there's a feeling of constant emptiness inside. I…feel like I'm not just missing a limb but a heart as well. My core being seeks wholesomeness again."

"Asahi, you will lose your personality. What makes you a person…"

A sad smile ran across the clone's face.

"That's where you're wrong. I'm not a person. I'm a missing part of you that just…wants to come back home."

The clone was expressing emotions that he had never thought he would.

Brian walked closer to Asahi and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you."

He said seriously.

Asahi had a smile on his face as his whole body turned to light and disappeared into Brian.

The whole gray dimension began to shake as the aura coming off Brian's body became stronger. Brian's hair flashed white as his consciousness finally melded with Asahi's. His eyes also flashed blue before they disappeared after closing and opening his eyes. His soul had now ascended even before his body had managed to complete it's evolution. He could even leave the space he now occupied in soul form.

Brian however decided to stay put. Why? Because he could feel that his final clone was about to complete his own mission.

To keep himself busy, a blue screen appeared before him as he studied the new changes to his soul.

"What the fuck?"

Brian wondered our loud in confusion.

(Elsewhere - The Traveler)

The concept of infinity. Unending. Like a circle, no starting point or ending point. The Traveler understood what it meant after seeing it for himself. At it's core, Saitama drew his strength from that concept. Infinite physical strength, infinite speed, infinite durability.

The only way to bypass that was to use another concept. Raw power alone...did not measure up. Even raw power enough to destroy the multiverse was nothing without drawing it's essence from a concept.

The traveler also knew that what they currently had couldn't hope to match Saitama in his element. The only way to change that is by acquiring a concept. Although it wasn't an easy thing to do, they had succeeded in doing the impossible before. Plus…The Traveler had seen it. That glimpse of Unending power. So it was just a matter of time. Speaking of time, the other clone had been dispelled. Which meant he was up.

The Traveler closed his eyes while meditating in his room. His hands were clasped on his lap facing upwards. He breathed in and followed the link between him and his mental copies.

It's Time.

The command was soft but carried with it extreme weight.

In the Harry Potter dimension. The Grand Sorcerer, Supreme Mugwump, Chief Warlock were all titles held by the greatest wizard the world had ever seen. It wasnt Merlin, Dumbledore or any of the famous Wizards. It wasn't even Harry Potter the boy who lived, slayer of Voldemort.

Instead it was a young man by the name of Cedric Digory. And he was the savior of all, uniter of the wizarding world and the muggle world.

In his opulent room, where he was sleeping on a bed with his wives, Hermione Granger the minister of magic, Daphne Greengrass a dueling grandmaster and Fleur Delacour the best charms professor Hogwarts had ever had, a faint outline broke off from his body.

The outline was a mental copy of The Traveler. And it was the reason why Cedric had reached the level he had. The Mental copy was like a mentor, subtly directing Cedric into seeking out more and more magical knowledge with the copy increasing his comprehensive abilities.

A portal appeared in the air and the mental copy disappeared. Cedric opened his eyes and felt as of he had lost something important.

In the Fairy Tail dimension, the only blue celestial key on Lucy Heartfilia, the guild master of Fairy Tail, killer of Zeref shone with a blinding light on it's omega symbol carved on the head, while Lucy meditated in the air. She felt the fluctuations of an unknown energy and instantly looked around the room.

"What..."

A blue portal appeared in the air and the key on Lucy's hip detached itself, plunging into the portal before she could anything. She unleashed the full weight of her Ethernano in anger. That key was the only precious thing she had left of her mother.

She was determined to destroy... Lucy's eyes widened as Natsu broke through the door to the training room. Her magical powers...had no effect on the portal!

"What was that?"

Her husband asked once the portal had disappeared. Lucy had no answer.

In the Natsuverse, a battle was raging on between two powerful combatants. The king of heroes was up against the faker, Archer. Instantly a magic circle appeared between the two, revealing a raven haired girl dressed in a red top and a black skin tight skirt with leggings.

"Your battle has gotten too violent. I was content to stand back and watch it play out but at this rate you will destroy Fuyuki city."

She raised her hand and a jewel shattered between her fingers. The two servants found themselves bound to the ground as gravity increased a thousandfold.

"Now then..."

she stopped in the middle of her statement as a blue portal appeared in the air. A frown appeared on her face. The energy signature given off by the portal matched that of the pendant she had on.

Speaking of the pendant, it broke off her neck and phased through her palm, escaping right into the portal, which promptly disappeared.

"I think I should talk to my teacher."

She muttered referring to the Wizard Marshall, Zelretch.

In the Naruto world, Sasuke stood facing the whole might of the Ninja world. He could see Naruto at the front of the army. His best friend, who had always promised to never give up on him. Naruto had broken that promise. Sasuke on the other hand was fighting to free everyone from the tyranny brought about by letting the villages govern themselves. He was fighting to unify the Ninja world because of the visions his unique black ring had shown him.

He had seen devastation in the coming years as the Otsutsuki and other celestial clans sought to enslave the Ninja world. A blue portal appeared at his side and he did nothing as he watched the ring he had come to cherish as his greatest gift, even greater than the Sharingan disappear. He had always felt that it wasn't something of this world and that it would leave eventually.

The portal closed and Sasuke turned his attention to the Shinobi alliance. His unique eyes, the ZentaiKogen appeared. His right eye turned pitch black while his left eye turned a glowing white. This dojutsu was the culmination of everything Sasuke had learned. And he would use them to finally unite the whole shinobi world.

In 20 different dimensions of magic, The Traveler's mental copies detached from their hosts and disappeared into a blue portal heading to The Traveler himself. The mental copies brought with them knowledge on different magic systems and deeper understanding of reality as a whole.

He could fight like a ninja and use ninjutsu the same as the best of the Ninja world despite lacking chakra. He could use magic from the Natsu world, Harry Potter universe, highschool DXD, Overlord, That time I got Reincarnated as a slime, Avatar The Last Airbender, Danmachi, Remnant...and several more.

Every Mental Copy created was dispelled and all that information appeared in The Traveler's mind.

A smile made its way onto his face. He had done it. Achieved his own way to a new version of ascendance.
