The Hiker

As soon as Angelica left me and Nova looked at each other. Want to get something to eat? I asked Nova. Sure he said. As we started to go I into a restaurant we were suddenly surrounded by a bunch of people appearing out of nowhere. I grabbed Nova and started getting us out of the crowd of people right away. Right after we got out, I said damn its like they were literally teleported on top of us. They were , Nova replied. They were apparently somewhere else there was an explosion happening when all of a sudden they were here. Want to go give a complaint at the castle. I said sure why not they throw a bunch of people at us and they expect us not to complain, I could've suffocated. To be fair though I probably would have still lived, but it was the principle that no one likes to deal with a problem someone else has. I also didn't know if this Archmage or castle even was the source of the problem, but I wanted an answer at least. So we started making outer way towards the castle to see what was going on.

Archmage's Pov

As soon as the explosion happened I panicked. My barrier should've prevented magical explosions and also those caused by other people's wishes. This could only mean that the person that invaded they city was either stronger than me or had a special kind of wish. It wasn't a good situation either way. So when I saw my sister start to face him I immediately started to prepare my teleportation spell along with my buffing spells to also apply as soon as Angelica arrived. My sister was unbeatable by my side, but this person was clearly dangerous, better to not underestimate him. So right after my spell went through they appeared. Go sis now I yelled. Right after my sister appeared in front of the man that was also caught in my spell. A sonic boom left behind were my sister was standing.

The Hikers Pov

As soon as the surroundings changed I heard the boy shout something I was a little far away to hear it, but also it was covered by the breaking of the sound barrier. The woman I was fighting appeared in front of me ready to cut my head off. I moved my head to the side. However another swing was coming to where I moved my head. I ended up dodging backwards but she was there to. She was pushing me back. Each swing if her sword became faster and deadlier than the previous. I had to make exaggerated movements because her sword was sending wind slices as it went past me. I then began to fight seriously. "I travel the world" I said and the next moment I was behind her as she was trying to cut me. "I grow stronger with each step." My fist struck her side bending her plate of armor and sending her flying to the wall. Blood was dripping from her mouth her body had taken a serious blow, but the young boy to te side unleashed all if his magical fury in a glowing orb at me. While I was focused on the girl, he was steadily preparing a strike against me. I had to give him credit he didn't even flinch when I sent the incapacitated the girl. As the orb came at me with an unavoidable speed, I simply held out my hand. Completely stopping the orb in its tracks and crushing it as if nothing happened. "Hu How did y-you stop it?" The boy stammered. As I drew closer to the boy he screamed "Nooo get away from me." And then another presence walked through the door of the room.
