The Cities

I'd like to think I got a date with Angelica, but it was just a normal tour. She showed me and Nova around and such, but when I asked her about what happened when she left, she said she didn't want to talk about it. She just made it a normal tour and to be honest it was nice. She showed me the nice spots around town and showed me a few places I should eat at later. She ended the tour by showing me an inn with a pretty good reputation. I also asked her why they call Nova a daikon, and she explained that it was just what they called weird or unknown creatures. Nova didn't like being called weird, but other than that he seemed to enjoy the tour as well seeing that as we passed by a couple of shops he got some free samples. I decided to sleep in for tomorrow it was a long day with many things happening that I ended up going with the flow. Tomorrow I plan to ask Angelica more questions God's wishes and the world's combining and see how much she knows about it.

Angelica Pov

After I woke up I saw the guy that I was supposed to be escorting earlier. He seemed to really not understand what waiting for me meant. After we had talked I noticed he was paying a lot more attention to me. My younger brother was really tired as he went to bed early after restoring our barrier. It was an exhausting day, for I have never been beaten before especially not in front of my brother where my wish was the strongest. I don't know how he felt exactly by it, but he is still pretty young so he probably didn't understand what me losing meant. I ended up giving the young man the tour I planned to give him and I also learned his name David. I had to focus on the plans for tomorrow since my brother will meet him instead of me. I gad to get ready to talk to the other city lords considering my position. I also needed to look as imposing as I could in my suit if armor to calm down the citizens, but maybe that wasn't needed. No one knew I had lost in the castle and me being in the open after the fight must've given the impression that I won. The only reason they should be worried is because an intruder made it in the barrier to which no daikon has previously breached. Either way it was a long day.

David's Pov

I wasn't able to meet up with Angelica, instead I met with her younger brother, whose name was Lixian. He told me to call him Ian for short. When I asked him about God's wishes apparently it happened to his world a 100 years ago. However when it happened many countries, nations, and continents were broken up. The biggest peice of civilization that could stay were the cities and towns, because any size of land could be rearranging itself. The land here was relatively peaceful, but there were daikons. A general label for the monsters out there, but since they could come from many different worlds, they were all given the general term daikon. He also explained most cities used these terms and that politics were limited to city to city interaction. They also had a system in place. A city lord had complete control of the laws in their city, but they were responsible for protecting it. The City we were in is called Frontiers edge. After he was done explaining things he gave me a couple choices. I could stay here or go to different towns. he explained his sister was the city lord, but she threw all the problems on him, because he was a genius, and despite her physical ability she had little education in paperwork, since most of that training went to male heirs. I told him I'll Stay for a while, but I needed to talk things over with Nova who was still sleeping. After Ian left I layed back down on my bed. "What am I going to do." I said out loud.
