The calm

I was finally able to sit down for a little bit to think about what was going on. As I understood it my powers , wish or gift from God would automatically kick in if I was in trouble. I didn't know to what extent what this gift could protect me from neither did I know exactly how this power worked. What I did know was that I could use the same lighting Lin used consciously and at will. I'm not going to lie but it was pretty cool, however there wasn't a single restaurant or store in sight. as I walked down my usual street to get to a store I realized the town had changed drastically. To put in a better perspective it was no longer a town. It was a legit desert on one side, and if I turned another way there was an ocean. The only thing in between these 2 things was the street I was walking on. Even that started to get picked up and get warped somewhere else as I got off it. I was left with a couple choices. I didn't feel like swimming or taking a road trip in blistering heat, but I needed to go to someplace with civilization.

I ended up walking in the desert, the good news was that I wasn't tired or affected by the heat. While God had the biggest ego I know he sure did give me a great gift. As I kept walking I encountered a small little black lizard. As I got closer I realized it was a small black dragon. The greeting I was met with though was weird.

Turn around now or I will eat yo, the small dragon roared, or at least tried to, but to me it sounded like a small dog yapping.

Are you sure you can eat me you look pretty small?

How did you find out about my true size. the dragon gasped.

I can see you I guess.

It looked around as if trying to check something and it started to pull some weird runes out in the air.

I was sure my illusion was spot on, but why isn't it working. It turned away all the other beasts.

Maybe it's not you maybe it's me I replied. I got a gift from God so that could be the reason your illusion isn't working.

The small dragon shook its head.

It can't be I git a wish from God to, and I can make any illusion appear realistic as I want, I can even make it affect reality. So unless you wished for the power to see through illusions or something similar. You can't see through my spells.

I don't know what I got from God but it helped me survive till now.

The dragon looked at me and sighed.

Are you looking for me to travel with for a journey and then someday turn into a hot girl?

No why? I just want to get to a town I'm not hungry, but definitely get a meal right now, what I wouldn't do for a cheeseburger.

Isn't there one in your hand right now the dragon replied

What are you oh. I saw a cheeseburger in my hand seeming to appear out of nowhere. Well don't mind if I do as I started eating it. The dragon looks at me with a confused look.

Why are you so calm talking to me? Most humans would be excited, terrified, or indulging in their fantasies, one of which I just asked you about cause it's one of the most common ones my mom would tell me about.

I looked at the dragon and replied yeah there would definitely be some reactions like that, but I was almost killed twice, met God who loves to say perfect too much, and my whole town is gone, while I'm hearing that the same God who sent me on my way just combined thousands of worlds together, cause he's bored.

Yeah meeting you a small dragon is kind of a given at this point. Do I expect you to travel with me? no I'm just trying to relax a minute until the shock of this whole situation is done for, cause I have no clue what I even want to do now.

The dragon lays down next to me. You could help me look for my mom we got separated by this world changing thing. Sure I replied I could've looked for my family but we haven't seen each other for years anyway and I had no clue where to find them. My parents should've got their wishes, cause they were usually polite to strangers anyway. So I think they're fine, but I guess I'll go help this little guy find his mom.
