Chapter 37 - First Dungeon Dive

Since I will pass to the dungeon before reaching the guild, I think I can do a quick raid so I can eat and sleep in the inn today.

After taking some time walking I gaze at the very center of Orario. There stands a very graceful architecture that was definitely not made by man.

The tower of babel, the 50-floor building that acts as a lid to the dungeon beneath it.

I entered the building as I saw various adventurers, some are solo but many are with their familia.

The entrance to the Dungeon is on the first underground floor of Babel. In the center of the room is a ten-meter-long hole that leads straight into the Dungeon. Within the circular room are multiple columns at equal intervals and above is a beautiful azure painting of the sky that resembles the real sky. Along the circle are gentle stairs that spiral down into the Dungeon.

I've reached the first floor. After some time of wandering a group of goblins attacked me, but I easily took them down by slashing their neck with my paladin sword.

Ohh, right now I thought of something cool. What if I modified my auto guard to not only blocks attack but return some with it?

The goblin drops a small magic stone. It is a pain to fight and pick something up. maybe that is why some adventurers needed supporters.

From time to time, I pass some trying hard adventurers but thankfully they still managed to stay alive without me helping.

Ohh, a group of dog head monsters is dashing on my way. I think they are called kobolds right?

Ting Ting Ting

A sound of clashing metal is resounding in the area as the kobolds tried to penetrate my auto guard.

This is harder than I thought, It's hard to revise the auto guard to also reflect some damage. I can expand it but I am having a hard time altering its nature. Oh I know, If I can't modify the current auto guard maybe I can just coat it with another barrier that receives kinetic energy and return it like a recoil.

I concentrate and imagine a dome of transparent energy that visible only to me. Good, next is to create some link between auto guard and my self-made barrier.

I inserted some of the fragments of my barrier all around the auto-guard.

*cracked*

That is bad my auto-guard almost shattered because of that. I quickly canceled the barrier and restabilize my auto-guard. I will try to create it again later, right now I got to focus on farming some magic stone.

I slashed the kobolds who were holding a metal rod. They vanished like ashes as I bend down to collect the magic stones.

Magic stones are piling up in my hands so I created a temporary box made of energy to store them. I really wish I have a broken skill like inventory right now. Like auto-loot or something.

Wait? what gods have space power? Hermes? he is a merchant, after all, maybe I can kill him...no-no-no. I felt that my morals are being questioned as soon as I came to this world.

Another group of monsters fell to my blade as I proceed to get their magic stones. After reaching the floor six killer ants started to appear. No big deal though as my sword still cut them without resistance.

"Aneesa come out,"

Aneesa quickly manifested herself in front of me.

"Kill the bugs and give their stones to me," Don't get me wrong, I like exploring the dungeon...but money, food, and a place to sleep are the top priorities right now.

"It will be done, my lord."

Aneesa quickly created five clones of herself. I think she will use them to pick up the stones while quickly wiping out the monsters' population.

Just like that and we breeze our way to the 10th floor.

The 10th Floor keeps the same structure as the 8th and 9th Floors above, however, the light from above becomes reminiscent of morning mist. Mist appears across the floor making vision terrible. Large category monsters such as Orcs and Infant Dragons begin to appear here.

Aneesa keeps killing them though, she is such a cheat. She can fly and multiply which in my opinion a very versatile skill. Her feather skills are like super wide range AOE skills. ever since I summoned her here I don't have anything else to do other than to follow her.

Not that I can help her with this little energy remain within me. After farming for several hours we exited the dungeon. I desummoned Aneesa to avoid pulling attention because an angel will always attract attention.

By the way, right now I am carrying a crate full of magic stones. I wish it will fetch a good price from the guild.

I reach the guild after few minutes of walking. There is a line so I patiently wait.

"Umm, are you a new adventurer, May I asked of who's familia are you belong?" The receptionist asked after scanning my face and not recognizing me.

"Why does it matter? I only here to sell my loot," I said with a gentle smile. as I know the guild is not really

The receptionist slightly blushes and said, "New adventurers needed to have an advisor to tell them about things in the dungeon."

I nodded then said, "Then it settled you will be my new advisor, so advisor-san where can I sell my loot?"

"Ehhhh? I mean that is allowed b-but,"

I followed her eyes and saw the trading booth three meters beside the counter.

"Thanks," I said my farewell before she can finish her sentence.

The booth has small drawers in them to put the magic stones or monsters loot. It also has a concrete screen to hide the person inside them.

With how many magic stones I am carrying I am pretty sure that It won't fit inside that single drawer, So I pour my magic stone into every available booth.

The person inside didn't ask the question and just declared how much I earned, "221,000 valis in total, card or cash?"

"give me 13,000 valis in cash and put the remaining on the card."

"Give me a minute."

I can feel someone is staring at me. Looking around the guild I saw the previous receptionist looking at me while pouting but she can't move from her post because many adventures are lining up.

Maybe because of the incident in the colosseum many adventurers participate in clearing the escaped monster or right now is just a busy day?

I received a sack full of money together with one brown card. It seems that I don't really need to register as an adventurer to sell my loot. much better.

Leaving the guild I noticed that the sun is already low making me believe that I spent more time in the dungeon than I expected.
