Chapter 14 - Prayer of Sympathy

*General POV*

"What I really want to do right now is turn a demon, specifically the demon at my back into a human," What Ace said plants a seed into everyone's heart.

"You really think that you can do it now?" Mitsuri said while fidgeting.

"I'm still not sure but as I said, I obtain a new power now, or skill depending on how you see it." Ace unwraps the demon showing a conscious demon.

Shinobu and Mitsuri hold the hilt of their sword in case the demon do anything dangerous.

"She will not wake up anytime soon so you can lower your guard," Ace said seriously.

Shinobu and Mitsuri nodded and calm down.

'This is understandable though with the increase in their strength, they are hot for battle,' Ace thought with an inner smile.

Ace started his prayer, He concentrates to sense the energy in the atmosphere then chant, [Messy Hair Don't care - Albert Einstein, Prayer Of Sympathy.]

"Alberturu Einsteinu?" Mitsuri questioned as no lights are present after Ace's prayer.

"What happened my dear children?" Oyakata asked. He doesn't know what Ace has said but he is extremely curious about what Ace has done.

"Ace-sama...I'm not sure Oyakata-sama," The white-haired Ubuyashiri that always-on Kagaya's side answered.

Shinobu tilts her head and demanded some answer with a sweet smile.

"So prayer is dependent on words and not on concentration, that is a huge weakness," Ace said then added, "Anyway, [Caged birds sing for freedom, A dying man sings for hope, Plea my desire and bless me to save whom that sing for help, Prayer of Sympathy.]"

Six balls of solid yellow lights appeared and float behind Ace.

Ace knows that these lights are the number of how much enhanced healing or regeneration he can do.

Ace understands that he can only cast prayer 3 times a day, meaning if he cast 2 prayers now he can only cast 1 more today. 3 is still plenty considering what prayers can do.

'I still don't know if I can increase the 3 prayers a day limit,' Ace thought.

Ace bends down and cast his healing on the demon, One ball of light turned into particles then rushes towards Ace's hand. The halo on Ace's palm grows brighter as It starts to burn the demon's body.

At first Ace panic, he wants to try and heal the demon and didn't want to kill it. But surprise quickly replaces his panicked state.

As the bright halo with healing energy burned the demon, new skin emerges a human one.

It's like the healing skill removes the demon part by burning it then healing the human part to permanently turn a demon into a human.

After the healing Ace observe the demon...human? Not moving at all but alive. There is no sign of turning into a demon.

"It is a success?" Shinobu asked. She can't explain the emotion she is feeling right now.

"I think so, I will wake her up so we can make sure," Ace said.

"Let me do it Ace-kun, and umm can you please turn off the lights? they are too bright that my eyes starting to hurt," Mitsuri requested.

It is true, the prayer of sympathy is the brightest light that Ace ever produced. He got a feeling if any being sensitive to the sun touches the solid light they will be burn or cleanse.

Ace's uncast the prayer making the place dimmer.

Mitsuri successfully woke up the former demon, aka Mukago, the lower rank four.

Mukago slowly opened her eyes, her former white hair turned black and her yellowish skin turns into brown.

"Where am I, Is this heaven?" Mukago asked as she moves to sit up.

Mukago felt really good right now, her body feels light with no sign of tiredness. This is what healing with prayers can do.

"Ara ara, How cute," Shinobu said then added, "This world is too dangerous to be heaven, how are you?" She started to inspect every inch of Mukago's body without fear.

"No sign of turning, Mouth, and eyes are normal, but..." Shinobu analyze then looked at Ace, "Her muscle is too powerful similar to Mitsuri, This is bad news or good news depending on what she really is."

"What do you mean Shinobu? Is something gone wrong?" Oyakata questioned with a gentle voice.

"If I am not wrong then," Shinobu eye Mitsuri to cut one of Mukago's hands.

Mitsuri is the love Hashira normally she won't harm a human because someone tells her to, but she thought that Shinobu has a reason to make her do this.

Mitsuri walks towards Mukago and slashes her wrist, separating Mukago's hand from her.

"Kyahhhh!" Mukago squeals in pain.

"What are you doing Shinobu-san?" Ace asked seriously. He is slightly pissed because of Shinobu's action.

Shinobu smiled at Ace then said, "Look, just like I thought."

The white-haired girl is describing the scene to Oyakata as it happens.

Mukago's blood quickly rushes to the separated hand then pull the hand and repair the tissue. Mukago retained the strength of a demon and its regeneration while staying as a human.
