She blushed, whispering, “I couldn’t think of anything else to do.” Then she caught sight of the two dead wolves and shuddered. “Are we going to leave them here?”

“Nope,” Conall replied. “I think, yeah, we should drop the bodies at the edge of the pack’s territory as a warning to the others that there are some big-bads around who won’t take kindly if they try to retaliate by going after any shifters in the town who live as humans.”

“Sounds good to me,” Deke said. “Then, breakfast?”

“Yes, after which we’ll pay a final visit to the cemetery so the kids can tell their parents their deaths have been avenged. Then we’ll head home.”
