“Okay, you got me. I do know.” Conall smiled darkly. “That’s why I’m willing to show you where he’s got the kids. He and I…well, let’s just say we’re not friends or even close. I owe him for something he did and I can’t think of a better way to pay him back than to mess up his plans.”
The two shifters glanced at each other and Conall knew they were mind speaking, blocking him from overhearing them.
“Take us to the kids and we tell you who wants them,” Nate said when they’d finished.
Looking as if he was debating the pros and cons, Conall finally nodded. “Deal. I’ve got a couple of things I need to do, first. How about we meet back here in an hour?”
“Nope. It’s now or the deal’s off.”
“If you insist. We’ll take my car.”
“No way. We take mine,” Nate said.
