Happy to see me?

Xavier stood in the middle of his room for what felt like an hour. His room was neatly arranged, with new stuff he knew he did not put there.

He was certain his mum made every arrangement there.

A smile crept up his lips. He loved his mum so much. Seeing her sad for a second made him sick to his stomach.

Waving out every thought, he threw himself on his neatly arranged, king sized bed.

"This is truly home." He heaved a sigh of relief.

"Sir?" James called out. He was standing right outside the door of Xavier's room.

"Yes, James." He replied.

"Your mum wants you to have a good rest, and freshen up later. There'll be a family dinner." James told him.

Xavier raised his head up. "Does that mean Xander will be coming over?"

"I guess so. It's a family dinner, so I'm certain he'll show up."

Xavier dismissed James after he was done.

He pondered on what James said. It made him sick to the stomach.

How was he going to face Xander? What was he going to say when they finally meet after so many years of lost connection? He was so lost in his thoughts, that his eyes began to clove till he fell asleep.

Meanwhile Mrs Wellington, was on a call with her son, Xander. She was trying to convince him to come home for a little family dinner.

She did not want to break the news of Xavier being in the city. She wanted Xander to be as shocked as everyone else. She wanted to see the look of excitement in his eyes when he saw his brother.

"I've got work to do mum." Xander said dismissively. The flipping of papers could be heard on the other side.

"I know but just this one time. Please, Xander." She knew convincing Xander was a very difficult thing to do. He was a very tough person, and hardly succumbed to please.

"I'm trying to get this work done , mum." Xander whined. He was looking for every possible way to get away, from whatever family dinner they were having. He wasn't in the mood for anything, apart from trying to prove his dad wrong.

He wanted his dad to see how hardworking he was, that was why he was working nonstop to seal a deal with one of the biggest companies.

Bret's Company.

Both companies were rivals, but they needed each other to function.

Xander thought it was a nice idea to seal a deal with them. He knew that would make his father very happy and proud oh him.

"Please Xander, family first." His mum rapped on, bringing him out of his reverie.

He sighed heavily, in complete defeat. "Okay mum, I'll be there."

An excited Mrs Wellington smiled proudly. It felt like all she had been dreaming of for a really long time ago.

Although her daughter who had moved to Africa wasn't present, she was still grateful she would be having her two sons over.

Mrs Wellington supervised the maids who were coming, as she wanted everything to be perfect.

Perfect for her sons.

It was 7pm already, and everything was ready. The diner table was filled up with different varieties of food.

The delicious smell of Italian delicacy hung in the air, around the house.

James helped Xavier pick out his clothes and he could not stop thinking of the delicious foods.

He was supposed to be on his way to his house, to spend the weekend with his family, but here he was waiting eagerly.

"This shirt looks good James, you did a good job." Xavier commended James.

Earlier, James had gone shopping for Xavier. He had picked up a blue shirt, just like Xavier loves it.

James smiled proudly at himself. If there was one thing he loved doing, was to make Xavier happy and literally everyone around happy as well.

He did not mind if it had to take his happiness away. He just loved seeing everyone excited.

"You can go home to your family, I'll have the maids pack up more than enough food for you." Xavier said, trying to wear his shoes.

James smiled widely. "Thank you."

Xavier got prepared and headed downstairs. The first thing that caught his attention the moment he got to the dinner table was the freshly baked banana bread, lying at the corner.

He used to love them while he was little, especially when his sister made them.

He rushed to take a bite, but it was slapped off his hands immediately.

"What the fuck!" He exclaimed in shock.

"Don't eat till everyone is here!" His mum warned, with a strict look on her face.

"Come on mum, I only need a bite." He whined like a baby.

"No. We'll have to wait till everyone is sited."

Xavier groaned. "Why are they delaying?" Xavier was extremely hungry. He slept throughout. He only needed something to eat.

"They will be here as soon" Mrs Wellington lied to him. She never wanted him to know it was Xander. She wanted them to be surprised.

Although she was worried, she kept her cool in front of Xavier.

She excused herself after leaving a warning for, Xavier not to touch the food.

She went outside and began dialing Xander's number.

He picked up after she called for so many times.

"Xander, darling. Where are you?" She half yelled in the phone.

Xander groaned loudly. "I'm driving mum, I'll be with you soon." He ended the call immediately.

Mrs Wellington heaved a deep sigh. The dinner was about to start, and Xander being late wasn't helping matters. She wanted everything to be perfect.

Just when she was about to go in, she saw Xander's car at the gate.

A deep sigh of relief escaped her lips. She ran to go meet him.

The moment he got out of the car, she pulled him into a hug.

"Chill mum." Xander chuckled and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Here," he said and handed a bunch of flower to her.

"Thank you so much darling."She smiled widely. She loved seeing the sweet part of Xander. "Let's go in, everyone is waiting."

Xander rose his brows? "Everyone?" He asked, but his mum ignored him.

Mrs Wellington first entered the house, before Xander did.

Xander raised his head up, to meet the shock of his life.

Xavier was sitting right there, pinching on the banana bread without noticing his brother's presence.

"Xavier?" Xander called in whispers. Whispers that could be heard.

Xavier raised his head up in shock, to see Xander standing there. He did not know how to feel when he saw his twin standing across the room.

The only thing that came off his mouth was, "Happy to see me?"
