:part 2 calm before the storm

Author here and welcome to part two of chapter 3. Comments, votes are appreciated.

Also I'm having a problem here that is, I'm adding another character, now I'm wondering if the character should be an MC or a background character or one of those introduce and throw away characters so please comment at the end.

Also I may or may not had added more plot to the story as the word counter is broken so as a warning this chapter is very long. Bring your popcorn, juice or whatever cause this a long one. Enjoy ;)

Time skip

What you thought I would miraculously give her new powers or a ship girl come and rescue her, no, she's underwater and that's that.

After that intense battle, all the siren ships across the planet had stopped their attacks as they hovered in the air until they retreated back through the cosmic portals.

This had a mix reaction from the humans, some were confused as to why they'd stop the invasion when they were so close, others were happy it ended, others were sad as they had lost their loved ones and in the military all personnel were visibly shocked and confused as to why they stopped the invasion.

One high ranking commander looked at a cadet who was still shocked from the event and told him," Private, I want you to go to intelligence and tell them that I want get to the bottom of this invasion"

The cadet did as he was told.

In space, the SOS that was sent was quickly heard and a hastily assembled group of kansens arrived only to find the invasion had stopped.

The one thing of many that the sirens targeted were the communications thus it basically left the entire planet with no means of contacting others, but it was slowly being rebuilt and social media sites were the first to come online especially instaspace and cosmic twitter or twimic as the common word people use.

Thousands of stories were posted here but the one that was being reposted hundreds of times was from the capital.

Videos came in of a single ship giving the sirens hell as it sunk numerous siren ships. Of course as typical humans they thought it was fake, some kind of cg graphics, but there were those that believed them though they were few.

Some people had actually flown there to find some evidence on the ship but couldn't find any.

One such person was Carl, now he was in his 20's and had chocolate brown hair, eyes and was someone who was a geek in all thing ship and space. Tell him to explain the workings of a neutron reactor and he can explain it in 20 minutes which would normally take about 1 hours to explain.

And when he saw the Argo he was sceptical at first but after he poured over the numerous amount of videos he finally accepted that the Argo was powerful.

From the videos, he managed to understand that the ship used shock cannons that looked more powerful than Iowa's and from close inspection the triple gun mounts looked larger than Iowa's which was shocking.

And with the help of a software he tried to see if the space ship was similar to past ships and was surprised when a pick of the sakuran Yamato from 2024 popped up. This made him question the ship even more but he couldn't prove things without seeing it up close.

That's why he was at the beach, but his plan wasn't going well as time was running out. Carl looked at the sunset in the distance as he thought of whether he could come back but he knew the answer. Sneaking from home was the worst thing he could do but the reward was huge. Now he has to go back and face the wrath of his parents with no reward.

Carl sighed as he picked up a stone and threw at the ocean. He watched it skip about twice before sinking beneath the waves, he was about to go home when he saw a blue light beneath the water.

He rubbed his eyes thinking he was hallucinating before seeing the light again but this time it was dimming until it disappeared. Carl looked at the water as he saw something glint before seeing the shape of a bow emerge from the depths of the water. The ship itself was moving forward on a collision course with him.

His body was fast enough to react as jump to the side with all his leg power to his left but he was still in the ships path, he braced himself as he could see his life flash before eyes before a loud roar sounded in his ears, the roar was coming from the manuvering thrusters at the bow as they fired with full force tilting the space craft to its right while continuing to move forward. The bow impacted the sandy soil kicking up sand as it ploughed through missing Carl by an inch.

When it came to a complete stop it left a big trench as it dug up the sand. Carl coughed a bit from the dust but when he looked at the ship, he couldn't believe his eyes as he saw the Argo battle damaged but it was there right in front of his eyes.

He quickly run to other side as he struggled to find any door that was open before seeing a hole in its hull which led to a hallway. He quietly entered the hallway as he noticed that there were no lights so he used his torch that he luckily carried.

After being lost many times he finally found the bridge by use of a map which he found, but the downside was that he had to climb up elevator cables as there was no power.

Entering the bridge, he noticed that all the consoles were powered of, he looked around before his foot touched something. He shone his light until he saw probably the most beautiful girl in his life who looked to be around his age if not younger. He would have continued if he didn't notice the tiny pool of blood which sent his brain to overdrive.

Fearing for the health of this beautiful woman he used his phone to call an ambulance as he rushed outside while carrying Yamato on his back.

To say she was confused was an understatement.

Imagine being asleep and awake at the same time that's how she felt. She could faintly feel her real body but she could also feel her dream body and it looked like she was at a beach with a beautiful sunrise.

Her black tails swished back and forth as she looked around until her fox ears twitched. Yamato looked back only to see someone else who looked familiar.

Said person was a girl who had brown hair that went past her waist in a ponytail fashion. Brown eyes and some weird metal head piece, some hexagonal plates on her hair that were metal grey plus the imperial seal of Japan which she remembered as she was also Yamato.

"I'm sorry do I know you" our Yamato asked as she tried to remember if she saw her somewhere.

"I don't think so, I'm Yamato flagship of the JSDF navy and currently lead ship of the Yamato class ships BBG-11" the ship girl answered.

Yamato couldn't be more confused, there was another lady here claiming to be her yet she doesn't even know her.

"I think you're wrong, I'M YAMATO flagship of the Yamato class ships BBY-01 and part of the United Nation Cosmo Force"

Now it was the other Yamato's turn to be surprised and confused but before they could ask questions they were both ripped out of the dream scape by some other force.

Before author san could ask more questions time flowed again as we are now in a hospital where a certain kitsune in disguise was waking up.

"*groans* Where am I? last I remember was ... the ship!" Yamato wanted to bolt out of the room but was stooped when she saw a figure sleeping on a chair with his head on the bed.

'W ... what is that person doing there, did he bring or was he watching over me?' before she answered any of her questions the man woke up.

Carl rubbed his eyes as he looked around before noticing the lady he saved was awake staring at him. Brown eyes clashed with red eyes as Carl awkwardly coughed.

"So I guess you're awake, how are you feeling" Carl asked as he looked around trying not to make eye contact.

"I'm fine but I need to head to my ship" Yamato made a move to stand up but was stopped by Carl who told her that she wasn't fully healed.

"I don't care if I'm not fully healed take me to my ship now" a few more arguments and she was taken to the beach where her ship beached itself but they had a slight problem.

When they reached their destination, it was packed with tons of people and military personnel who had their weapons out plus a few tanks in the formation that were pointing their guns at something.

The things they were aiming at were about two dozen cosmo mobile space armours that had circled the ship in a defensive way.

It was sort of like a showdown where both parties were looking at each other ready to pull the trigger.

As for the civilians they were all taking pictures of the ship and mechs as they posted it on social medias which were on fire due to the number of comments on each post.

As for Yamato, this just made her angry as she made her way to the front while Carl was following close behind wondering why he was following her. Soon Yamato forced her way to the front and walked past the military people and ignoring their shouts for her to move back.

Immediately, 3 mechs aimed their barrels at her as the barrels begun to spin up, this didn't make her flinch at all.

"Stand down" she ordered them but they kept their guns trained on her. "I order you to stand down cosmo marines"

Hearing the name 'cosmo marines' made them to drop their weapons to the side as the rest of the squadron did so.

Until one of the mechs to the right of her, brought up its guns as it aimed at a scared male individual.

Glancing back, she saw who he was and ordered them to stand down again as he was a friendly.

"Why are you following me, you could've been killed" Yamato asked as she entered the ship through an open hatch.

"Well, I was worried that you may be hurt plus I want to help you" Carl said as he followed her through the hatch.

Looking around, Yamato grabbed a map and handed it to carl "Well if you want to be useful, then go to the engine room and jump start the core."

Yamato new that it may be a bad idea to send him there as he could try and copy it but without the blueprints to make a wave motion engine and core, which only she and analyzer knew, no-one could copy it so it was a calculated risk that she took.

Arriving at the bridge, she found analyzer booted up and doing some things.

"How are the repairs going on" she asked him as a slight rumble spread through the entire followed by a constant thrum showing that the engine was on

'That's the fastest anyone powered up the engine, just who is he'

"All power has been restored, thrusters are online and all critical repairs are done" analyzer reported.

"Good call in the cosmo marines, once they're inside start the sub engines and plot a course for the nearest port"

Analyzer replied with an 'understood' and in a few moments all the mechs were in and Carl had just arrived looking as if he wanted to ask a boat load of questions but Yamato told him to ask later.

Soon enough the wave motion output reached 120% as Yamato told Carl to take a seat.

"Rotate flywheel" a loud groan could be heard as the Yamato moved into an upright position.

"Sub engines on" a roar followed as the sub engines kicked up a cloud on sand as the Yamato slowly moved upward, carefully to not hit any humans.

Civilians, tanks and military personnel quickly moved backwards as the 333 metres long battleship flew into the air kicking up dust and a big gust of wind from its engines.

Once they were a couple of meters off the ground, the ship changed its heading to port Maple, which was the closest port that was still functional.

In the bridge, Carl was looking at the different controls of the ship until he heard Yamato ask him how he powered on the engine so fast.

"Well, the engine was already in the process of powering on, so after reading an instruction book that was lying around, I managed to finish powering it up." he said while looking out of the bridge tower. "Also what kind of energy does your core produce, cause the energy readings that I took were of the charts, they were producing more energy than a neutron reactor"

"That's classified, I can't tell you anything on the propulsion method of this ship" Yamato stated the obvious as she was looking the reports analyzer sent on the battle that had just finished.

"Okay, oh final question. What armaments does your ship have," Carl asked as the ship slowed down to land.

Yamato thought about this question before answering "three triple barrel 48 cm turrets shock canons, two triple barrel 20cm shock canons, port and starboard AA, 6 forward and aft missiles or torpedoes, 8 port and starboard missiles as well as ventral and dorsal missile launchers"

If Carl was holding his phone, it would have fallen off as he stared at Yamato shocked

"4 ... 48cm turrets!!" he said "that's, that's larger than Iowa's 17inch guns that's even larger than the Yamato class!!"

"Yamato class?" Yamato wondered.

A loud splash noise was heard as the hull plunged into the sea but stayed afloat. The ship slowly inched its way forward into a free docking bay as the bow of the ship slightly hit the concrete which made the whole area in front of the ship crack.

As soon as the anchor was released and the Yamato safely secured did the army come out of its hiding place among the containers.

Tanks, artillery and even mobile launchers that had missiles were all pointed at the ship as analyzer automatically brought all turrets to bear on the army vehicles.

"Analyzer, stand down we don't want to be the bad guys here" Yamato commanded as Analyzer reluctantly put the gun turrets in the original position.

A few minutes later, two people emerged from the ship with their hands in the air. One looked to be the captain of the ship while the other looked to be a citizen.

Following this, the citizen was taken away to two people who looked to his parents, who were angry, which only made some military personnel have sympathy for him for what he was going to go through.

The female captain was escorted by a bunch of infantry men while the rest stayed to keep a watchful eye on the ship for any suspicious activities.

Time skip location: Interrogation room

Yamato looked around the room as she noticed the plain looking walls though she knew that the wall on the left was a one way glass as she could feel someone staring at her from that side.

Her hands were cuffed to the table and her captains hat was placed on the table.

A few seconds later, a hissing sound was heard as the only door of the room was opened and a man walked wearing a black suit and black shades, typical clothes if you asked her.

"Well miss Haruka" the man started as he stared at Yamato who only had a blank look on her face "I'll be straight do you know just how much destruction you caused with your ship?"

The man tossed a bunch of photos that showed repair bay 5 blown up on the station, multiple buildings toppled and a 10-mile crater in the city plus photos of the clouds being pushed away. Yamato only glanced at these and returned her blank stare to the man, not saying anything.

The man, seeing no response, tapped something on the table as a hollo screen was pulled and played a video.

"Do you know what this video is" it was a security footage that showed Yamato bumping into someone as she was boarding the train. The video stopped and zoomed in on the girl she bumped into "Do you know this girl, because she departed right before the sirens invaded,"

Yamato continued to say nothing, this made the man slightly annoyed "The girl was a sakuran and by your name you're also a sakuran, aren't you?" the man leaned forward as he cracked a smile "That means, that you planned for all this to happen and used the sirens to start a war."

For the first time this made Yamato confused as she thought about he just said.

"... you're wrong" Yamato started as the man leaned back on his chair "if I was working with these sirens then why did I defend the capital? I could have easily left and leave this planet to fall to the sirens and plus if I wasn't here how much more would have been lost? How many more people would've been killed if I wasn't there to stop the invasion. Me and my ship did the best we could and stopped the fall of this planet. If anything you should be thanking me for saving your worthless planet"

By this point the man was angered as he brought his gun "why you --"

"That's enough James" a new voice sounded this time a female voice full of authority said as she walked into the room.

Yamato eyed this new person as she noticed the red hair and red eyes plus a suit that was form fitting.

The male replied with a 'yes mam' as he quickly left leaving two females in the room.

The new person sighed as she clicked a button on the table that released the cuffs on her wrists.

"Thanks" Yamato said as she rubbed her wrists.

"Don't worry it's the least I could do. My name is Lisa Gamma and I'm the governor of the capital. First I'd like to express my gratitude for protecting my city" Lisa said while bowing her head. "I'd like you to follow me to a safe place where we could talk in private"

A few minutes later they arrived at a building that had a complete view of the docks where Yamato could see her ship being... repaired!

Lisa caught on to what she was looking at as they entered a room "Oh, I sent word for your ship to be repaired as it saved the city." she said while entering the seemingly plain room that had simple furniture and pictures

"This room is sound proof and everything else proof. No-one will be able to hear or see what's going on in here."

Once again Yamato said thanks as she pondered on what to ask her.

"My ship is currently in need of fighter planes, does this planet have the infrastructure to do so plus is there any way to gather information on what happened ever since humanity left earth"

Lisa brought her hand to her chin as she thought about it "hum, the last fighter manufacturer was destroyed in a siren bombing attack but there is another place to get aircraft and the closest on is the Azure lane system which 24 light years from here, as for your other question yes I can easily send you the information though I won't inquire why."

A few more discussions later and they had reached the end with Yamato getting a full repair, getting resources for its small factory on board plus the information on the history of earth. Plus, there was something Yamato wanted to do as in their discussion she felt like Lisa was someone she could trust and can keep secrets.

"Lisa, can I trust you that you won't tell anyone what I'm going to show you" Yamato asked as Lisa gave a nod.

Yamato sighed as the camouflage ability was deactivated letting her tails and ears appear from a blue flame.

Lisa was visibly shocked as she had her mouth open.

"My name and that of my ship was a lie, my true name is Yamato same for my ship Yamato BBY-01 lead ship of Yamato class" Yamato said as Lisa's brain seemingly shut down for few seconds before rebooting.

"E ... Empress!!!" Lisa said as she kneeled on one knee in front of Yamato "plea ... please forgive me and my foolishness for not noticing that you were here"

Yamato was surprised at Lisa kneeling as she struggled to think what to do

"It's okay you can stand up" Lisa slowly stood up as she stared at Yamato "You're not at fault here, so please don't kneel"

After saying an awkward silence settled in as Lisa asked something "Your highness, if I may ask. Why are you in a disguise and why aren't you in Sakura empire."

"It's complicated but what I can say is that I wanted to feel how it is to be common person instead of being an empress"

Yamato quickly said as Lisa believed the lie because in real sense Yamato did not know how to answer the question but something in her heart made her speak those words even though she didn't have a clue on what to say.

"Also if you can, can you also send information on my sisters if you can" Lisa replied with a yes as the camouflage skill activated hiding her tails and ears as they walked out of the room.

Time skip location: captain's quarters at the top of the ship.

Yamato could be seen in her Kitsune form as she lay on top of the captains bed as she started into the night sky.

She had received a report that repairs were finished and analyzer had confirmed that the ship was fully repaired.

The night was filled with stars something you don't see much in the cities but due to power being out it was a beautiful view as she stared into it until she got a notification.

[Notice: mission defend planet Avrora has been completed.]

[Objective destroy siren invasion force has been achieved]

[Hidden objective: kill siren Observer has been achieved]

[Processing rewards .... Finished]

[Rewards: blue prints for cosmo tiger 2, dual cosmic swords, pre-war 2202 refit and bubble shields.]

For Yamato, this was surprising as she immediately sat upright. She looked again at the rewards as she wondered how bubble shields would fit since they were bigger than her normal missiles

[Solution: wave motion energy would be put in special missiles that look the same as the ones used in 2205 but scaled down. The limitation is that they can only last for a minute before dissipating. 2205 could last for 5 minutes but their effectiveness to lack attacks is the same.]

"Huh, I guess that does solve it" Yamato said out loud as she closed the window and lay on her bed until something glowed next to her bed.

Looking she could make the outline of two katanas, one white with blue ascents the other black with red ascents.

She held them in her hands and did a small swing, impressed by its feeling and weight she leaned them on the wall as she climbed into bed to go to sleep.

Location change: another dimension maybe...

This was another dimension or alternate space as it was blue in colour and had a large space station in the middle that surround something black that was giving off tons of energy.

The station was a black with lines of red and green flowing throughout the entire structure.

In one part of the station we could see a room filled with many capsules that had something in them. One such was glowing blue until a capsule opened leaving the person inside to walk out.

Said person stretched their limbs before saying "Man that was close, a few seconds later and I would be dead."

The siren continued stretching until a person walked in or rather purifier barged in as she was yet again smiling.

"Observer~" purifier said in a sing song voice while the now known observer smiled at purifier "Welcome back, you've been ordered to come to the queens meeting chamber."

"I'll go." Observer said as they both went to the meeting room where tester beta, the empress and observer zero were.

All had a blank as they looked at observer as she was having a smirk.

"Observer" tester started "care to explain why the invasion force we sent out came back with only half the ships and also why was Aphosis destroyed plus why were you killed"

The rest looked serous apart from purifier, she can never be serous without smirking or saying something, but Observer had a smile.

"Simple the empress is back" this made some of the sirens especially tester to be nervous why?

Because, before Earth had spread to the stars, the battleship Yamato became modernised to fight the sirens and became JS Yamato BBG-11 (Battleship Guided Missile)

And let's just say the kill count that monster had when she was fitted with a nuclear power plant and Aegis system made enterprises kill count look small.

And the situation turned from bad to even worse for the sirens when the Yamato fleet or super battleship fleet which comprised of Yamato (flagship), Musashi, Shinano (carrier), Kii, Shikishima and Satsuma.

This fleet was said to bring the pacific campaign to its knees as siren fortress after fortress was wiped of the face of the map by this fleet alone.

Thus the Yamato got the title 'bane of sirens and siren killer' because of that but ever since she was sunk in siren nuke attack the world begun forgetting Yamato's achievements as they expanded into the stars.

Now she was back, as observer showed them the recorded videos of Yamato decimating siren fleets one after another.

But the one question that was on everyone's mind was where she got that power because being able to block Aphosis with only minor damage was a feat on its own.

"The one thing I'd like to say is that, the energy she uses was never invented in any of the simulations we had done" observer said as the screen changed to Yamato doing a warp

"So " tester started "you think that this ship was from another universe that broke the dimensional barrier?"

"Maybe, but we have no proof other than the immense high energy output we recorded"

"Then how do we defeat this ship observer" the queen spoke

"I'm glad you ask, tomorrow the Arbiter will be coming here and what's better than to bring the ship here and let them brawl. This would take care of the one hitch in the plan but if they can destroy that and this alternate space our plans would move forward tremendously"

The queen gave a nod same as tester while observer zero asked

"And how do you propose to bring the ship here?"

"That is something I will do myself" observer said as a red aura wrapped around her body as her yellow eyes glowed brighter.

Location change: planet Avrora day of departure POV Yamato

We find Yamato in the captain's room putting on a new outfit that's similar to the captain's black coat but this one was less buff and more form fitting. it was a black coat with golden trimmings and a golden anchor symbol that was at the breast pocket, from the thigh downwards the coat became a cape which was red on the inside, similarly she wore a black trouser that had both red and gold trimmings as well.

Yamato looked outside the ships dome glass window as she remembered the battle that took place there.

Her hands visibly clenched and unclenched as she sat on the captain's chairs before opening a button than opened a hatch beneath the chair that sent her to the bridge directly where the sole occupant analyzer was currently doing final checks.

"Analyzer are we go for launch" Yamato asked as analyzer replied with a 'yes'

"Good in two minutes raise the anchor and go to pre-set place for launch. Once in the air, do a flyby of the capital then increase speed to go to space from their we do our warp" Yamato gave orders as analyzer remembered the pre-determined places they talked about when the ship was still being repaired. "I'll be going for a walk outside the ship in the meantime"

Yamato stood up as she walked out of the bridge and to a set of hallways that lead to a door that opened to the outside near turret two.

A steady wind breeze hit her as she walked across the railing to the bow of the ship until the breeze died down

Looking over the rail, she could see different personnel going about their day doing the jobs they were supposed to while some glanced at the Yamato which was the sole ship in the port.

Yamato herself turned and looked at her ship as it rocked slightly against waves crashing into it. This made her mind wonder to the different things people have said to her.

They called her 'empress' even though she didn't know why it was familiar though, no-one in the cosmo navy ever called her an empress even Ginga, her sister, never called her that.

She lowered her gaze to the floor as she let out another sigh before closing her eyes.

On opening her eyes, she was shocked to be someplace else.

Her body tense up as her red eyes looked at the ship she was on and was yet again surprised to see it was her old ww2 ship form.

She lowered her guard just a bit as she looked around, noticing that there was nothing but sea around the ship but upon looking back at the ship she was startled to find someone looking at her.

Yamato quickly took a few steps back as she eyed the new person in front of her.

The person in front of her was wearing a red yukata with orange trims, she had the same pink hair that she had that reached past her shoulders, same red eyes as her, and the same bust size as her though clearly hers were bigger than the new person. (haah, Yamato class)

And the weird thing was that she had the same pink fox as her but her tails, which were nine, were in the colour of pink different than her black tails, speaking of which. The camouflage skill seemed to had deactivated when she came here.

"Who are you?" Yamato asked as she directly in the other's eyes.

The other lady didn't say anything but as she walked forward, Yamato was seemingly rooted to the ground as my legs were not moving even when she willed them to move. the lady got close to where she could place both hands on my face which surprised me

"Remember Yamato" she said in a soft angelic voice that soothed my tense muscles "remember me, remember your sisters"

As soon as she said those words, the world shifted to where she was looking at her ship preparing to leave port.

It took a few seconds for her mind to comprehend the change until the loud ship horn sounded, which sort of rebooted her brain as she rushed to the bridge.

The anchor of the Yamato was reeled in as it slowly moved backwards and out into the open ocean. The sub engines increased in power as they sailed near the beach which had people who were taking pictures of the ship.

"Rotate flywheel" the main engine powered on as they Yamato rose from the water surface, releasing its atmospheric wings for more lift and into the air as it turned its bow for a fly-by.

In the capital, some news station were covering the launch of the Argo as it flies overhead the capital, high enough where the roar of its engines weren't too loud but can still be heard.

After that, the Yamato begun to climb up in altitude until it flew past the region where space begun, the karman line.

"Analyzer, retract wings and shut down sub engines, prepare for warp."

The Yamato flew higher and higher till it past Avrora station that sent a Morse code by light, wishing them luck on their journey and the Yamato replied with a thank you

"Analyzer prepare for warp" the main engine ramped up in power as its flame turned to a blue comet like tail as its speed increases.

Inside the bridge, Yamato was monitoring the speed until it reached 33 space knots were she said "warp!"

The Yamato disappeared in a golden ring as it sailed through a wormhole with time being stopped inside of it

Location: 12 light years from azure lane system near an asteroid ring

The Yamato emerged from warp covered in ice that slowly broke off as the main engine came online

"Analyzer, check radar for any sirens and check communications for any distress calls."

"Understood"

Soon the bridge fell into an eerie silence that was all too familiar apart from the usually noise from the consoles of different stations.

No crew making idle talk, just a kansen and the ships AI, Yamato let out a sigh as she looked at different reports from the ship until an alarm brought her out of this.

Yamato raised her gaze to the screen on the ceiling.

"This is the fleet flagship Jason, we're under siren attack *loud booms in the background* please send support, where located in asteroid field plea £$%^%£" the line went static at the end as the distress call ended.

"Did you track the call" Yamato asked as the ship turned to face the asteroid belt.

"Yes"

"Good, prime the shock canons and missiles, go to combat speed 1."

POV change Jason's fleet

More loud booms resonated throughout the ship as the asteroids they were using as cover were decreasing at an alarming rate.

"I minute till our covers blown" the radar operator said as the blinding lights of missiles, lasers exploding came into view.

The captain, Jason, could be seen looking at reports from different ships with a grim face. Overall they had lost 2 ships until they managed to find cover behind these asteroids but not without getting damaged.

"Has anyone responded to our distress call" Jason asked the comms officer.

"No-one responded, I think we're on our own"

Just then a loud shaking occurred that sent the ship and others flying into space as their asteroid was blown to smithereens.

"Report!"

"Damage to the underbelly of the ship, all port weapon systems offline, engine has been knocked offline and needs to restart. We're sitting ducks captain!" the XO said as he read through the reports.

"Sir ... sirens dead ahead and in view" the navigational officer said

Directly in front of them was a siren fleet made up of cruisers and destroyers but mainly cruisers.

Jason griped hi chair in cold sweat as he struggled to find a way to survive.

Just then the weapons officer shouted something as dozen of blue beams flew into the clustered siren fleet followed by a barrage of missiles, that were cluster missiles, and this blew up nearly three quarters off the enemy as a shockwave slammed into the ship.

"Sir we're being hailed"

"Patch me through and put it on the screen" Jason ordered as the comms officer did his thing

"Did anyone call for help" a female voice sounded at the other end as a female captain appeared on the screen.

"Yes, we did and I cannot express my gratitude for you saving us. A few minutes later and we would have been dead."

Jason bowed his head in respect of the other captain.

"You're welcome but first let me clean up the remaining sirens then I'll form up with your fleet."

A few more salvos from the main guns and a lot of missiles, sent the siren fleet to its cosmic grave. The Yamato moved closer to the fleet as it hovered to the right of the fleet and I'll say the crew of Jason's fleet were staring at the ship as they said,

"It's bigger than the Iowa class possibly even Montana!" one crew member said as he looked out of a window.

"Yes it is but look" another sailor shows him something that's making headlines on various news platforms "this is the ship that stopped an Invasion on planet Avrora."

"You're lying" the other one couldn't believe what he heard as he snatched the tablet the other crew was having

"Tell that to all the videos, photos that were taken. This is the real deal"

And the camera changes to the bridge of the Yamato as Yamato herself and Jason were about to finish their chat

"One more thing are you headed for the Azure lane system" Yamato asked

"Yes we are. What about it"

"Well since I'm also going there, my ship can give you support as you go to the system"

"That's good to hear, I'll be looking forward to your support" and then the call ended.

POV Change: Observer

"Purifier are the preparations ready"

"Yes they are. Waiting for you Observy" Purifier said as she was toying with a wisdom cube.

"Good, let the fun begin" Observer said as she activated a unique skill of hers "Leo's trap"

Change to Yamato

A few minutes till warp everything was looking good until loud alarms were sounding throughout the bridge.

"Status!" Yamato yelled as she entered the bridge quickly sitting on the captain's chair.

"High energy distortion ahead, coming from an orange red comet"

Through the bridge window she could see something like a comet, but it was moving way to fast and in a snake like motion.

"ALL engines to full, radio the other fleet and tell them to get the hell out of here"

Yamato's engines flared to life as Jason's fleet soon brought their engines up to speed as they tried to get out of the abnormal comets path.

It looked like they might escape until a loud boom resonated throughout the bridge of the Yamato

"Damage report"

" Multiple breaches on the left side numerous AA batteries knocked offline. Comet is beginning to slow down and sirens are emerging from it"

"What!?" Yamato said as the screen showed numerous siren ships emerging from the comet and this made her grip the arm chair tightly as a distant memory resurfaced.

"Analyzer ready all remaining weapon systems. Provide cover for the escaping ships"

Outside all gun turrets swivelled to the right before firing positron rounds into the emerging ships followed by a missile barrage.

But even as ships were gutted like fish, even when they were blown apart by missiles they pushed until they were able to fire.

One lucky shot managed to hit one of Jason's ships, a corvette, that disabled its main engines for a short time.

The corvette could be seen being pulled into the comets gravity well as it came under fire from the sirens.

Seeing this Yamato went into action "Analyzer fire right rochet anchor, aim for the bow, give covering fire for the corvette and fire 3 bubble ships to protect Jason's fleet.

The right anchor flew off and it soon wrapped around the bow of the corvette and was soon reeled in.

The bow missiles were fired as three were aimed at the other fleet who some thought she trying to kill them before erupting into a blue shield that blocked the incoming beams.

Shock canons and missiles were fired to support the corvette as its engine was just about to restart but something was happening with the sirens as the cruisers bows were opening and soon hundreds if not thousands of missiles were fired from each cruiser.

AA, missiles even shock canons were used to destroy these missiles but they were just too many as they penetrated through Yamato AA defence.

These missiles clamped to the Yamato as they covered the surface of the ship.

There was a pause in the bridge that seemed to stretch for hours before the missiles emitted some high energy electrons into the ships power grid before exploding in a huge fireball.

Inside the bridge multiple alarms were ringing as red light filled the bridge.

Yamato looked at the numerous reports streaming from the ship before something brought a look of shock on her face and it was from engineering.

"Wave motion engine offline" she read out as the indicator read 0% in the wave motion engine.

Before power went out fully she managed to release the right anchor before relaying a final message before the power cut.

"Power has been compromised we can't move anymore, the rest should warp before you're£$%&" and static.

In third person we could see the Yamato's bow being pulled backwards as it was pulled in by the comet's gravity and ones it plunged inside. It and the comet vanished from view.

POV Yamato

A loud groan could be heard from the ship as it struck or maybe rammed something. This sound made Yamato wake up as she looked around the bridge which was a mess before looking down at the Wave motion engine indicator and being relieved that it had restarted and was at 70%. She glanced at Analyzer who seemed to be booting up.

That was the case until she looked out of the bridge window were she could see a blue colour but when she focused she saw siren ships.

This made her rush over to the radar as it turned on and when it scanned the surroundings she could never have been more pale.

To say the least, they were surrounded by thousands of ships and more were forming behind the ship and close to the edge of the radar was a large structure that made the time fault factory pale in comparison.

Her sweat dropped as she said "Yamato hashin" {Launch}
