: A New beginning

Hello viewers this is Drago with chapter 2 of this book.

There may be some few errors after I review it so yeah.

Anyway enough of me let the chapter begin.

Lucas system: third person POV

Space nothing but darkness that goes for infinity, cold, dark and cruel. But in the shadows are twinkles of light, trillions and trillions of stars more than one can count in their lifetime and it's those lights that sparked curiosity in man as it grew.

'what is out there?' one would ask not knowing that each of those stars have planets like earth and harbours life.

"But this system is dead" Yamato said as she was sat atop turret two.

She didn't need a space suit because she is the ship itself and that was pretty self-explanatory.

Her eyes roamed the darkness until it landed on the star of this system.

It was a red dwarf but it was big, about 3 times the size of our sun and it cast a red glow upon the space battleship as it hung there over the remains of a planet that was shattered by something maybe radioactive as her scanners were getting weird readings.

They had done what they came here for, Yamato glanced at the report hologram and read out that 20 tonnes were acquired essentially meaning she won't need supplies for a long time.

There was a recon plane somewhere out there with analyzer in it but she wasn't concerned about that. A feeling crept up her spine as her fingers twitched a bit.

She wanted to fight something, so far since entering the system there was nothing ,no life no other ship just rocks, a star and that meant that she was bored.

She wanted to fire her guns but there was nothing to fire at so it won't be worth it.

'If only something interesting could happen' she thought and as if kami was listening, her radio became to crackle to life as a robotic voice answered her and it was analyzer.

"Yamato there are some 4 ships that have entered the system close to you" analyzer said in his usual voice.

"Okay I'll keep hidden but I'll observe them for anything suspicious" she said as willed her auxiliary thrusters to come online "analyzer keep tabs on them but stay hidden"

With that the call ended as the Yamato slid behind an asteroid for cover before it could be found.

With the fleet flagship bridge

The bridge was silent as everyone was busy at their stations, the bridge wasn't cramped but it wasn't spacious either but it was enough space to get work done.

Currently the radar operator was busy trying not to fall asleep again, the lack of enemy's and other things meant he got bored quickly and he would've fallen asleep if he didn't her the familiar ping of his radar.

He quickly opened his eyes as on the screen he could make the outline of asteroids around the fleet but he could see something, a dot, move behind an asteroid before vanishing radar.

He checked again for the same ping but it was silent he could've sworn he saw something there but before he could tell his superior a loud noise erupted from his radar as on the screen he could see multiple small but fast things closing in on the fleet.

He immediately told his captain and weapons officer of the threat and soon after he told them loud blaring sounds erupted putting everyone on alert as the missiles closed in.

The automatic AM (anti-missile) system kicked in as the phalanx ciwis and missiles opened up tearing down the missiles before they could reach the hull.

The radar man looked at his screen wildly before spotting it at the edge of the radar range, an enemy fleet but what shocked him was there fleet composition

2 destroyers 3 light cruisers 4 heavy cruisers and 2 battleships the fact that they had battleships meant that the chances of surviving this was low, very low.

Still, the main guns on all 4 ships opened fire, a mix of green yellow and blue tracer beams were fired each having their own ships targeted.

But the only problem is that the weapons on these ships weren't meant for combat, that meant they packed less punch than a combat ship and that was seen as the lasers were either absorbed or deflected by armour and shields, only the destroyers made off with a slash on its armour.

The sirens retaliated in kind as their turrets opened fire sending multiple pink beams to the human ships with accuracy.

The human ships each did evasive manuvers as they tried to dodge but they weren't lucky. One ship got hit in the centre cleaving it half as the others just managed to survive with deep slashes in their hulls.

When facing sirens, the chances of surviving are low, every crew member knows that and is ready to risk their lives for the sake of others and humanity as a whole, however, there is always a part of them that screams to be saved from a difficult task and the universe seems to do these random you get saved cards.

Before the sirens could fire again they were caught off guard as they were suddenly attacked by missiles.

Their AA guns fired but it was too late the missiles dealt damage to the fleet, sinking one destroyer, heavily damaging the other and lightly damaging the cruisers as the battleships were unscathed.

The person who did this, a group of cosmo marines in there type 2 mobile space armour. As soon AA fire was turned on them they fled the area as a squadron of cosmo falcons flew past them and delivered more missiles to the damaged ships sinking another destroyer before getting out of there as fast as possible.

While this happened the crew on the remaining 3 ships were shocked to see a group of mechas and fighters destroy two DD's (destroyer class) and damage the cruisers which for their ships was difficult but not hard to do.

But they forgot about the two battleships that were lining up shots to fire, the entire bridge crew yelled at each other to do something as the helm officer tried to speed away and doge the beams but it was all in vain.

6 accurate beams were fired as they closed in but a ship emerged from nowhere leaving the crew shocked at this before a blue glow enveloped the ship as the beams connected sending an enormous amount of energy at the ship pushing it backwards slightly as it remained undamaged.

"Wave motion shield at 60 percent, that was powerful. All main guns open fire" Yamato said while sat on the captain's chair in the bridge.

The ship turned as it pointed its bow towards the enemy fleet before upping its speed.

"What's that ship doing, they'll get themselves killed" the comms operator said as he tried to radio over to the ship telling them to turn back but they didn't respond.

The Yamato fired her two font turrets, which are repaired, at the cruisers that were moving forward. The two beams split apart the light cruisers like butter as the heavy cruisers opened fire but the shots from the Yamato were deflected off the bow of the heavy cruisers as the battleship fired again.

The heavy cruisers were able to last for some time as the salvos completely shredded the bow of the cruisers but they still kept fighting until blue beams cut their ship in two from bow to stern.

The two siren battleships opened fire at Yamato as it was finishing the cruisers but the shots were wild and missed though one did land a hit and torn a huge hole in the middle of her hull.

Yamato retaliated by fire her missiles with dealt some damage to the ships before firing her shock canons but they were dispersed by some kind of energy shield upon striking the armour.

'Energy shield! No fair! Seems I have to get in close and do the same as that Medusa battleship" Yamato thought as her main engine increased in power closing the distance before firing he rocket anchor which pierced the armour and stuck to it.

The Yamato fired of her solid rounds as they penetrated, exploded and tore it apart from the inside and exploded. This made the last siren BB (battleship) angry as it fired its rounds blindly into the smoke but it was useless.

Emerging from the top of the smoke upside down, she fired her rocket anchors again as the bow lined up with the battleship below it and with a thud the anchor was lodged into ship as the Yamato reeled it in pulling it closer before firing type 3 rounds and like last time exploded.

The crew of the human ships could not believe that they just saw a single ship destroy the remaining siren ships alone! Every crew member was looking through every available window to see the spectacle of a ship destroying an entire siren fleet.

The Yamato slowly moved from the smoke cloud as it neared the ships. Though it was billowing smoke from two areas the damage control team would have it fixed.

The comms operator almost missed the call from the mysterious ship which was voice only, he put it on speaker as the captain prepared.

"Hello?" the sound of a female voice did not shock them but it was the way it sounded like an angel.

"This is the captain of the Vanir flagship Harry; may I ask who I'm speaking to?" the captain asked.

"This is the captain speaking, Haruka, of the Yama… Argo, are your crew all fine." Yamato was extremely cautious of these first encounters thus she didn't want to them to her ship's name and about her so she chose the safest way by using a different name for her ship and herself.

"Yes our crew is fine there are a few wounded but we are safe thank to you. Since you're in this area are you heading to Kaleid system, if you are we can go together." because if they do then they be protected from any further attacks.

"Yes I am heading that way, and it'll be okay to join your fleet.

With the fleet formed up fully repaired Yamato at the front and the other three at the back. Then they both did a warp though some noticed that Yamato's warp was different before warping.

Kaleid system third POV

A couple could be seen in space doing their honeymoon there because it was all the talks that generation. The man pulled out his galaxy phone and took a picture of the two of them.

If only they weren't in the path of a warping ship because in the background of the photo was a ship covered in ice emerging from warp and it Yamato who took part in a galactic photo bomb of the century.

A that was how Yamato managed to scare the couple.

Yamato POV

"Yamato there are two ships heading this way" analyzer said as in front of them two ships moved in to intercept them.

"Radio them were not sirens and we come I peace." but before they could send it out they were hailed by the sentry ships.

"Unidentified vessel state your name and where you came from or we will be forced to stop and board you for inspection, I repeat --" someone said.

Yamato tried to answer but they didn't get a response. "Oi, analyser are we using the same frequency?"

"No, cycling to find right one" at that point the two sentry ships evened with the Yamato's speed and were going to restrict her ship before they were hailed by Harry.

Soon after the misunderstanding was cleared and analyser found the right frequency, they finally made it to the orbital station. As they neared the station they were each going a different way Harry to refuel and Yamato to repair.

The Yamato moved forward as analyser communicated with the repair division and soon they were slotted to enter.

But what they didn't know is that the Yamato was actually beginning to become famous as before it entered the Lucas system it had defeated three other siren fleets that saved people and human ships.

Those that did know it begun to film it and post it on the web.

Time skip

'In that last battle I was able to get camouflage- which lets me hide my tail and ears for a time of 12 hours and in that time I can't control my ship, plus some 10k credits which is good I think' she thought as she activated camo and watched as her tails and ears disappeared from view.

What she wore her captains coat, which was black in colour with gold trims and it was cut in a way so it forms a cape from her thighs down and it also had with a captain's hat that the anchor symbol at the front plus she had red anchors around her sleeves of her coat and the name 'BBY-01' where her shirt pocket should be.

After some time, she walked to the pressurized hallway that connected the docks to the space station and at the door way she was meet with the lead team member for the repair workers.

"I'm Haruka the captain of the ship, I have some business to attend so I'll leave with analyser, he's an AI and he'll monitor and give instructions on what to repair and also don't touch anything in there if you do I'll kill you" Yamato left the repair man as his face was slightly pale because when she said the last part her eyes were glowing blood red as she let out a bit of killer intent before walking away.

Time skip again

Haruka was now at the waiting room, for who you may ask?

Well it was for non-other than the manager/admiral of the space base and she didn't have to wait for long as she was called in by the secretary.

Entering the room, she could see that it was almost entirely made out of glass as she saw some ships move behind the glass. The manager or admiral by the plaque on his desk, was young for his age brown hair, eyes and he had that aura of authority.

"Welcome to Avrora station that is above planet Avrora" the admiral said as he stood up "captain with what businesses do you have for coming here"

"Thank you admiral my name is Haruka and I came to get my ship fixed and get some other resources" Yamato said as she sat down.

'Haruka sounds sakuran but she doesn't look like them'

"Which ship might that be" he asked as Yamato took a pad and showed him the live footage of Yamato being repaired in the docks in which they were currently removing turret 1.

"Her name is Yam… Argo that was the name chosen" Haruka said almost slipping but the admiral either didn't care or didn't notice probably the former.

"That's a fine ship if I must say but I don't think I've seen that kind of design seems a mix of naval while also spaceship design" he said noting the layout of the ship while also the giant rocket nozzle at the end "I take it you have the credits for the repair but if you want resources you have to go planet side for that *he looks around his desk before giving Haruka a small drive* this allows you to go to the planet but don't lose it otherwise you can't come back"

With that she took the drive and went out. She called analyzer on comms and told him to go and get a cosmo zero ready and take it to the runway of the station.

After a few minutes of getting lost she found the hangar where her cosmo zero was being prepared but the downside it stood out like a sore thumb with its mix of white, red and yellow paint.

She looked inside and saw that it had a helmet while on the exterior it had a few missiles but it was not fully loaded.

Looking around she saw someone who had a high rank by their hollo badge and showed them her drive.

Once scanned she was free to go and that made her excited for some reason. Entering the cockpit, she saw it was the one for Yamamoto, one of her former elite pilots, and smiled sadly she put on the head gear and turned on the engine taxying over to the runway.

Once in position, she saw the ground crew do some hand signs before one got on their knees. Remembering this she applied full brake while throttling to the max after some time they shot their hand as Yamato released the brake sending her down the runway with speed.

Soon she passed the barrier and was now in space. The blue exhaust of her zero increased in size as she pushed it even further, her destination the blue planet in front of her.

Soon enough there was a slight rumble as the plane cut through the atmosphere and soon it was engulfed in flames but that only made Yamato more exited as she cut off the engine and allowed it glide down through the atmosphere until it stopped burning.

If one could see past the clouds they would've seen the zero gliding as it left a trail of white in its wake. Sunlight glinted of the metallic body as it now was falling through the clouds.

Yamato pushed the throttle as a familiar hum of the engines filled her ears, she wondered what the capital was like and had a few images pop up but when she broke through the cloud cover she was utterly amazed at the city, it had giant skyscrapers that reached past the clouds and a giant harbour where there were thousands of ships, cargo and others.

'This city is amazing' she thought as she levelled the zero close to water surface kicking up plums of water as it moved.

She looked at the beach and saw that there were a lot of people there, most saw her fighter and clapped as the zero proceeded to do some barrel rolls before going upwards at a 90-degree angle for some time then levelling of the plane as it begun to maintain its altitude.

But all good things come to an end as the air force had sent some planes to intercept her zero and take it to the airport since for some reason you're not allowed to perform any displays as it called get someone killed if something went wrong and this made her get an earful from the pilots.

She left her zero at the airport and made her way to the nearby train hoping to go to the capital until she bumped into someone.

Looking down she saw that the person had a black cloak and some pointy things, maybe metal, from her hair which was like a dull shade of blond but when she looked at the person's eyes, they were crimson.

Looking at them she felt something familiar like she had seen them before but before she could apologize the girl was gone putting the hood over her horns or metal.

She thought back to that girl as she entered the train, 'She was so familiar like I had seen who is she, why don't I remember her?'

As she thought a sudden feeling came over her as she experienced double vision but luckily for her she was already seated.

Images formed in her head that didn't make sense, she could see herself looking at that same person but it quickly changed to her pushing that girl away more and more of those images flashed in her mind but just as quickly as it started it ended leaving her in cold sweat.

After that ordeal she left the station and looked at various signs not thinking about what happened but thought on what to buy but as we all know peace is only the beginning of war.

Looking around she a big billboard screen that was showing the news and at the front could see

'Iowa does it again' sinking two siren fleets by herself in be Andromeda sector.

Seeing this ticked her off as a short clip started showing Iowa unleashing a missile and nuclear barrage at the sirens before using its shock cannons to destroy the rest.

Seeing this made her feel jealous and angry for some reason but then the image changed to a reporter who was interviewing someone. The title made her feel happy 'Mysterious new ship saving people and destroying sirens'

News place

"So far we've seen multiple accounts of a ship saving fleets and destroying sirens, and this is how it looks like *shows picture of Yamato firing her main guns* well if you've just tuned in a new mysterious ship has been making rounds saving people and now we know where it is because it is right here in our own system *picture forms of the Yamato being repaired in docks*

This made Yamato feel very proud of herself.

After some walking she saw a sign saying 'sword online' it wasn't a good name, actually sounded fishy but curiosity got the better of her as she entered the building.

"Welcome to sword online, the only place to get high quality swords" a robotic voice said as she looked around noting the different aisles from bows to spears, daggers but what caught her eye was the sword aisle because it was the closest thing to a katana.

She saw different swords of different colour all in their sheaths but Yamato couldn't help but have a bad feeling she didn't know what was going so she decided on taking two swords that were sharp on one end and blunt on the other.

One had a neon blue colour the other had a neon yellow colour. Both swords weren't curved as Katanas but their bladed edge did glow with their respective colours making it look cool.

They both costed her 3k credits in total which seemed cheap but as they were being bought, she heard a scream from outside and upon looking for the thing that caused a commotion, she saw that the ground turned to a purple pink hue and upon looking up she saw portals a lot of them maybe 15 or more.

Yamato heard a man beside her murmur something about sirens and the cosmic portals which made her believe this was the sirens doing.

"Analyzer …*static* analyzer! …..*more static*... Answer!" she could only hear static maybe because of the portals, Which started spewing siren ships that opened fire at everything.

To say the least, it was hell as she quickly ran to help some people.

Buildings were crumpling every which way and the sky was turned black from the fires that were raging on.

"AHHHH!" she heard someone scream before noticing a part of a building about to fall on a two people.

"Dang it" she swore as she noticed she won't make it in time, she unsheathed the blue sword as a blue flame engulfed the sword and her as her tails and ears suddenly appeared.

'Hope this works' "sword skill *her blade was covered in a blue flame as it concentrated along the blade* solar slash"

She swung her blade upwards as the blue flame was launched in an arc smashing it into the detached building and destroying it while also cutting an unlucky destroyer that was in its path before dissipating.

Yamato quickly ran to the two and checked if they were alright in which they had a few cuts and scrapes but were fine.

Yamato was about to tell them to run when another destroyer appeared ready to blast away those measly humans but Yamato still had an ace up her sleeves.

In a spectacular fashion the destroyer blew up as a zero zoomed past and went for another attack run using up all its missiles before landing where Yamato was.

"You two take this zero, it'll take you somewhere safe hurry!" the two were still shocked as a sakuran was helping them but took the chance to escape.

As they flew away Yamato focused at the tasked at hand as she whirled around and used her blue sword to deflect a laser that was aimed for her head.

"hmm, you deflected my shot you're fast" looking at the person who said this she couldn't help but stare wide eyed at the person or thing in front of her and it was the worst one a humanoid siren.

Dun dun daana, that its boys that's the end of this chapter I know its short but hey at least I posted this so yeah try to guess the siren anyway peace.

.(Oi, what're you doing, stop scrolling there's nothing down there)

….(I'm warning you stop scrolling down if you you'll see something that'll make you regret)

"Who are you" Yamato asked in a firm voice. (You think I'll end it there too short for me)

"You're strange, most ship girls would be cowering right now but you are different even Akagi would be in fear but I'll tell you my name that is Purifier,"

The siren, purifier, closed the distance fast as Yamato dodged the attack and brought down her sword only for it to be stopped by shield, her eyes widen in shock as she felt a laser burn into her side, launching her back.

Even though it didn't puncture her skin (armour) it still hurt like f***.

She would repay the siren by giving it a quick death. Her eyes glowed blue as her sword was coated in wave motion energy or a blue flame.

The siren was intrigued as it had never seen an energy like this before, so she didn't even block or dodge as the sword come in contact with her shield.

Panning out of the battle the siren forces were still laying waste to the city but if you looked at the city centre you'd see a giant explosion that topples a building before something crashed into another building that was intact.

That something was Yamato as she was literally thrown by purifier through a building. Her solar slash, yeah that didn't work but she saw some cracks in the shield but they were way too small.

'That's cheating, having a shield while I don't even have my rigging.' she thought as she struggled to stand her uniform was burnt and torn and more importantly she was bleeding.

She struggled to move as she was having double vision before falling to one knee but in all that ringing she heard a whimper and looking to her left, she saw a child and her parents as they tried to keep quiet.

This in all made her sharpen her focus as her eyes burned with a blue fire of determination.

She remembers the promise she had with Okita and the entire crew of her ship

'I will protect humanity no matter the cost!'

She closed her eyes and focused easing her erratic breathing and slowing down her heart beat. Unknown to her, her body started to glow with blue hue as she found her middle point and leapt off the building.

Purifier thought that she had finished the kansen off but was surprised when the kansen again tried to slash at it with its potent energy but it was useless. The only thing it was doing was using up the swords durability and her energy.

They both eyed each other as she decided to finish the battle with a single blow. With Yamato she decided to use THAT skill which could kill her but knew it was worth it.

"sword skill … galaxy buster" her sword was engulfed in blue flames that danced in the slight breeze as her energy levels had gone through the roof

After a few seconds they both charged at each other as purifier fired her super laser which seemed to be absorbed by Yamato's sword as it made contact.

And now Yamato with the extra energy launched herself at purifier as she aimed for her torso but that stupid shield blocked her attack as major cracks were formed.

She thought that with that move it would shatter but decided to go for the next move.

"Cosmic scale" she said as her sword was yet again engulfed with a blue flame but the difference being the streaks of golden in the middle.

She brought her sword down cutting through her neck. Which upon contact the shield shattered as purifier could only laugh as her head was chopped off killing her.

Yamato stood there for a second before coughing up blood forcing her kneel.

"an ... Analyzer. Hurry" she said as she stared weakly at the sky where she could see numerous explosions in space which brought a smile to her face until she noticed someone standing in front of her.

"Purifier you can stop playing dead" the siren said as the head that she chopped of floated in the air "I can't believe you lost to such a weakling"

"Don't be like that observer she was crazy strong she even broke through my shields with an energy I've never seen in my life" the head said as it twirled around.

"New energy you say" the siren, observer, said as a sword appeared on her hand from a portal.

Yamato drew her blue sword and pushed out the last bit of energy into her sword but one thing she didn't even see observer move as she disappeared from view.

She stood frozen as her sword was split in half and then pain, pain so unbearable she didn't know existed filled her mind as she looked down and saw a hole in her torso where she can put her entire hand inside.

'not like this, I can't die here I can't die….'

Her eyes dulled as they lost their colour, she slumped forward as blood begun to pool underneath her.

Observer just looked at the corpse as she walked away with Purifier laughing all the way.

In the sky a bright object could be seen as something was entering the atmosphere.

A force was coming that they angered and now they shall face its wrath in a war that'll decide the fate of the planet.

NOTES: the reason why Yamato has wave motion energy is because she is the ship itself though the one downside she has is that that energy is not infinite it has a fixed amount though that can be upgraded.

SWORD SKILLS: Yamato obtained these skills from her previous life which are placed in an order. You know those skills that follow up each other, this set is like that

Solar slash (lowest) galaxy breaker, cosmic scale, universal destroyer, dimensional breaker and multiversal scale (highest)

Also if you have a better name for these please comment and if I like it I'll edit it
