Encounter

Let's say I get 150 experience for below level 10 goblins, how many would I have to kill to get to level 15? That's not even including the experience required amount increasing as levels increase. Hmm it's giving me a headache probably because I have not had food or water in at least a day. I should find some water and hopefully an animal or monster to eat. Wait, can I eat monster meat? I guess that is something that will have to be answered in the near future.

I start to move forward out of the house to get moving. I put the slime, that I have named Zeus after my pet dog in my previous world, in my pocket and started running. The scenery changes from a lush green forest to a fall esk mood with leaves falling and already on the ground. The temperature suddenly drops a few degrees as this happens. I really don't like the foreshadowing that's going on here.

I hear water running to my left and stop. I must have been running for maybe 5 or so minutes and can't even see where I once was. I grab some water with cupped hands and let Zeus eat some leaves off the ground. The water is freezing. Luckily, I have not noticed a drop of sweat and don't feel the need to wash myself. After a refreshing water break, it's time to go forward. That's what I want to say but as I turn around, I am greeted by 2 ogres. They are evolved goblins and even carry large battle axes. One has a sword on his back as well. They are wearing tattered cloths and the stronger one has a shoulder armour. Well isn't this a predicament. They don't look friendly so it's probably best to back off. "Inspect"

Oh no. The one on the right has higher stats. But only by a few. They do not have as much mana as myself but their health is a decent bit higher than mine. War Cry is a skill that rallies fellow warriors, but is not the most helpful in a 2 versus 1 so I don't have to worry about it. However what I do worry about is that there are two and I only have a wood spear. I guess I moved a bit too quickly. I make a temporary retreat and activate "lerk". Luckily I can rely on my speed. I guess it's time to find out how good the upgraded skill actually is.

Not too long after I run, they follow right behind me. Wait, shouldn't Zeus be near them? I try to contact it through the connection that was established when it was tamed. Zeus gets the idea and hops onto the weaker ogre's back. It gets very distracted and I can come up behind him and take the sword that will then go straight through his heart side shoulder. "Inspect" his health is 22/266. Great but it was not a one hit. My position has been exposed so I guess it's time to use "sword arts: advanced" and my my blanked for a second. In that second I must have used the skill because I was brought back to a surprising sight. {You have killed Ogre Warrior x1} {You have leveled up.} {You have leveled up.} {You have leveled up.} {You have leveled up.} {You have leveled up.} Really?! Almost before I could react I felt as if a shadow tapped on my shoulder. I moved out of the way before the battle ace came down. That must be the sense trait. Interesting. The stronger ogre, now infuriated because of the death of a comrade, charged at me with all his might. He has lost himself to rage and is not even using a skill. It's killed or get killed. I step to the side and bring the sword down with enough strength to cut the head clean off.

It was intriguing to see a monster care so much for one another. I guess that is what the great sage was talking about when he said it's hard for pack monsters. That's weird the experience does not show for each monster I killed. I guess it was so many messages it just calculated for it. Well Zeus got a few levels as well for the assists. I got 50 points to distribute?! That's insane and my body is getting more and more inhuman as well. I should start a fire and get some food cooking. I hope it's edible…
