A new Friend

After I have slept I can confirm that there is no distinct day and night cycle. So if that's true, this planet must not spin. But that does not make sense in all accounts for biological life. Unless I am actually inside a building or a possible dungeon that would cause this effect. The latter option makes more sense in this current world. I guess it is time for more skill learning and hopefully be able to switch in and out of jobs.

[He is definitely the best choice we have had so far.] Zooms out to a projection, that shows the protagonist, surrounded by a table with 5 figures at each side. [He has adapted to his current situation very well.] A voice that would sound familiar to the humanoid figure that reveals himself. Another voice spoke its opinion. [It's almost as if you are giving him too much power.] [I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all turns out.]

Most of these books have skills that are not the best for combat and are more suitable for specific helping and sideline positions. There is this book that has an interesting skill from the cook class: Dissection. It allows the holder to get the skills of the killed. Interestingly it does not say how many and if there is a limit. It also applies to humans as well. That can be very useful, so I am going to learn that. {You have learned the job: cook}{You have learned a new job-specific skill: Dissection} {You now have more than two jobs. To switch between jobs, call out the job you wish to use. You cannot use a job-specific skill of another job if it is not equipped.} Okay, that's simple enough. Thank whatever god gave this system to me and allowed it to work the way it does.

I should learn some sword and spear skills as I already have martial arts. A few books gave me the profession of swordsman and spearmen. {You have learned the job: Swordsman}{You have learned a new job-specific skill: Sword arts(Beginner), (Intermediate). (Advanced)} {You have learned the job: Spearmen}{You have learned a new job-specific skill: Spear arts(Beginner), (Intermediate). (Advanced)} Each has given their respective skills for simple to advanced. I hope this will come in use sooner rather than later. It is better to be safe rather than sorry. I would rather have the skills.

There was another cool book that described an assassin and what its use is. No duh. I am pretty sure anyone would know but whatever. The skill is actually an upgrade to my current skill and is not job-specific so I will probably learn that one as well. It gives me a better presence at hiding and removes how much sound I make. {You have learned a new skill: Lerk} Although the name does not sound the coolest, the function is better so Iĺl takes it. There are a few more skills that are jobs of wizards and archmages but I didn't find one book for a mage. Very complete set you got there great sage. I did notice something while being frustrated though. The skills for mages require lots of it for each skill or spell in the words of the great sage. I do not have much mana. I'll probably die if I get hit because I don 't have a lot of health either. I think my next goal is to get to level 15 at least. I will have many more points to distribute and will be stronger in general.

So off to find stronger monsters. The great sage has definitely been a big help through this. Although I did not meet him I want to at least thank him for what he has done. As I leave the house I am greeted by a blue slime that pops out from a dark corner. ¨Inspect¨. It is level 5 but only has 23 hitpoints. The attack is 5. I guess it would be good to try tame now. ¨Job change tamer¨ the slime does not move an inch. I look at it and concentrate. ¨Tame.¨ {You have successfully tamed a slime} Alright! Wow, it got some bonuses.

Not the strongest little guy in the world but we will get you and me much stronger. The slime then jumps almost trying to convey emotion. That's cool! I am already liking this world more and more.
