A Mew Adventure

A Shiny female Mew in a brand new world, will she survive with her sanity intact? Or will she Snap? . . A Self Insert fic where a woman wakes up in the body of a shiny level 100 Mew with the twelve moves they can naturally learn by leveling up. Now, how to escape this desert? At least Transform works. Painful as heck, true, but it works. A little too well, even. . . . Female protagonist that can change into any Pokémon. No Yuri. This will be straight romance, though more focused in the adventure/action. . . This is the fic I use to recharge from other fics so updates won't be constant. Though I've got eight more chapters already written in my p_treon, so you know where to go if you feeling curious.

Chapter 46

When she's in her human form and turns around, she sees Howard staring at her intently once more, alongside the others, unlike Steve who is looking the other way.

She closes the jacket and floats forward, not wanting to touch the ground without any socks on. She pats Steve's head once he seems to notice she's done changing.

"You're a treasure," she says to the super soldier out loud.

They then proceed to have Steve repeat his debrief, this time from when she appeared. They listen attentively. The only sound being Steve's voice and the click-clack from the secretary writing.

When Steve's done, he falls silent, waiting for the questions he knows that will come, taking all the scrutiny like a champ. When he mentions the map, a flurry of activity passes as they start planning. It's a bit wrinkled around the edges. However, apparently Steve has a good memory (or one that has been enhanced, at least) and is easily debriefing about all that he remembers.

"… and the fourth one was in Poland, here, not far from the Baltic," Steve says as he marks another point with his pen on a new map. He straightens when he finishes and an aid picks the old map up. Steve also seems to remember something as he takes out an old cartridge from one of his pockets, an old and blue HYDRA cartridge, and hands it over to Howard, whose eyes seem to shine at seeing the souvenir.

Afterward, the secretary leaves, alongside Steve and Howard, who seems to be pouting at not managing to study me. She remains in that closed room with Peggy and the Colonel. She uses Calm Mind to not fidget as they stay quiet for a long minute.

The Colonel speaks first. "Your want to help us by being a medic but I unless you've training in the medical field, it will be almost impossible for you to be anything more than being given cleaning duty. Specially if you're going to keep trying your human act."

She raises an eyebrow. "I will look like a human, true, but that doesn't mean I won't use my powers."

"And you plan to be low-key?"

Shaking her head, she clarifies. "I never said anything about low-key. I just said that my identity as alien to remain a secret."

Peggy narrows her eyes. "Are you implying that there are humans with powers out there?"

She starts nodding her head, before stopping herself and thinking carefully. So far she hasn't seen evidence of mutants being part of this universe. However, even if there are not mutants, there still were a lot of powerful humans or half humans in the present.

"There indeed are a minority of humans that have abilities beyond your comprehension."

The Colonel frowned. "Why not help?"

Both eyebrows go up. "You do realize that the nazis are practically killing anyone they classify as being different from them, right?"

He rolls his eyes. "Yes, yes. Anyway, I'm assuming you've got powers related to medicine, or something."

"Actually, they lean more to directly heal people or revitalize them, depending which."

Peggy finally moves her sight away from her to glance at the Colonel. That exchange seems to convey deep meanings, before turning towards her once more. I'll be in charge of giving you a new identity. Any preferences?"

Well, she's from South America, but taking in account how she doesn't know about the development of her country is better to go to the second option, the only other country she has stayed for almost a decade.

"Well, like I said before, the only country I have stayed for a long time is Italy."

Peggy nodded. "Anything else?"

"I want to be from a random orphanage or a simple refugee from Milano."

"Age?"

That's a bit tricky. She throws a random number, just slightly less than her real age. "25 years old."

Peggy starts grilling her about more details regarding her abilities and her time in Milano, so as to construct a more real background.

This actually takes the whole day. Is not until night that she escapes their metaphorical clutches. And even then, she's been told that she will be awaken early in the morning for the memory changing she has to do. It feels she only touches enters her new tent and leans against the bed before she's waking up. She doesn't open her eyes but she can already see the sunlight from her closed eyelids. There's a calming scent in the air, one she can't recognize, and takes her a second to distinguish it. Another second for her to realize that instead of being on a bed, she's sitting on something comfortable, her head slightly tilted to the right.

So, in total, it takes her a maximum of three seconds for her tired brain to realize she's not on the hard mattress she slept in the beginning.

She quickly opens her eyes as she sits up straight, ignoring the old furniture arranged around her and the relaxing ambiance in general. Her eyes are wide as she stares in a mixture of horror and awe to the current Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One.

In her stupor, she faintly hears the sound of a busy city in the background, coming from the slightly open window.

… Shit, she thinks as she recognizes the language being talked outside wherever she is as English.

Something tells her she's not near where she was before.

Portals are awesome when they're not being used against her.

Now how to ask the one thousand questions lingering in her mind without being thrown away.

Of course if the Ancient one doesn't kill her first.

What to do, that's the million dollar question.
