Chapter 101 - Preparation for the culture festival.

Chapter 101

Miko Iino and Ishigami Yuu are unable to get along. This is what most people probably think when they saw both of them.

However, when I asked if Yuu hate Miko, his answer was 'Never even once I hate that girl. In fact, I respected her. She is the only one who never weaver to do her justice even though it's unreasonable. She merely can't admit that her justice was unreasonable for other students.'

With a smile on his face, Yuu told his opinion about the girl called Miko Iino. According to Yuu, both of them have been classmates since the middle school year.

Yuu also said that Miko Iino is a girl with a strong and obstinate sense of justice and decency. With that, she wishes to impose excessive and unreasonable regulations on students in middle school when she became a member of the public morals committee.

Because of that, many students in their middle school hate her. She also frequently became the subject of bullying. Although it's not excessive bullying that caused a very hard mental trauma, it is still something that can break someone's heart.

Yet, despite all the bullying and people talking bad about her, she never showed a tear. Yuu, who equally had a strong sense of justice at that time, of course, can't stay still whenever he saw the light bullying Miko Iino subjected by other students.

Like one time he saw a paper with a bad thing written on it adhered to on the back of Miko. Yuu takes the paper without Miko knowing it.

This seems to be a secret but, Yuu also told me that one day when Miko Iino almost heartbroken because of the bad things told about her day by day, Yuu wrote a letter and put it under her desk alongside chocolate to cheer her up.

Honestly, I can only see both of them as a friend. Still, I don't know what's Miko Iino thinks about Yuu. That's why, right now as Miko Iino wanted to volunteer herself to help the culture festival preparation.

"Please don't be that nervous, I won't bite you know." I smiled and asked the nervous girl in front of me.

"I-it can't be helped, Kitahara-sama has always been my idol after all. But, thank you very much!" Miko said with stars in her eyes.

Miko Iino is actually one of my hard fans. Although I said hard fans, she doesn't have any delusions about myself but she genuinely admires me and held my performance as a pianist in very high regard. Or it can even be said fanatical, a good one, though.

"Why do you want to help the culture festival especially the large bonfire event? That event most likely will be the event for couples in the school. I thought you didn't like that kind of thing? You even volunteered to patrol the surroundings to ensure no fire spread." I raised my eyebrow and asked.

"...Indeed, I don't like that kind of relationship in school. But recently, I think maybe it's not bad to have such feelings after looking at the interaction between you and your girlfriends, Kitahara-sama.

I used to think that this kind of relationship won't be succeeded in our teenager years. For example, I know a certain someone who only wanted to protect a girl out of kindness because of the girl's boyfriend was trash.

That person suddenly became a scapegoat right after the culprit started to sprout some lies and everyone believed it. Still, in the end, a very kind person appeared and saves him from the endless bullying he might subject in the future.

However, when I think about it, the thing that I hate isn't the relationship itself. But, the injustice that person might get if those lies continue to spread. It's always like this. Even my parents rarely in the home because there are many bad people exist in the world.

Maybe you could say this is the way for me to apologize to those who get separated because of me in middle school. But I still don't like to see indecent relationships in the school." Various emotions were displayed on her face when she explained her answer.

Wry smile when she said how ironic her current thinking is, sad when she said the story, and apologetic smile when she said it was her way to apologize. I think she knew that even she did that, no one changes their opinions about her. Still, I can't say no to that determined expression.

"I don't have any reason to reject in the first place but, are you sure? You know it is meaningless, right?" I asked thoughtfully.

"Yes, I know. I am fine if everyone can be happy with this." Miko closed her eyes and smiled. Incidentally, someone has been listening to our conversation behind the door of the student council's office. And I know, it must be Yuu.

"Very well. But please don't hesitate to ask for our help. You need to remember, the student council exists to help the students." I nodded and said with a smile.

"Yes!" Miko said with a cheerful smile and stood up from her seat. Meanwhile, the person who has been listening to our conversation went away to hide from Miko. But, before Miko was able to open the door, I called her.

"Wait, Miko-chan. I have a question." I said.

"Yes, what it is, Kitahara-sama?" Miko tilted her head and asked.

"What do you think about Ishigami Yuu?" I asked with a thoughtful expression.

"...I hate him. That jerk. He doesn't take anything seriously, he doesn't follow the rules at all, and he's dumb. But... I know how lonely he is... I know how high his sense of justice is...and I know how kind he is...

And when I see everyone lifting him to the air to cheer for his victory, my chest can't help but feel warm and happy." Miko said with a dazzling smile.

I see, both of them respect each other and know each other well despite not getting along. And this is already at the point of crushing at each other. I smiled after hearing how genuine her answer is.

"Very well. Thank you for answering my question. Don't worry, this won't be heard by Ishigami himself." I smiled and said.

"Nn! Thank you very much!"

An hour has passed since Miko Iino appeared before me to volunteer herself. The usual member of the student council has come back from their work. Ishigami, who listened to my conversation with Miko seemingly thinking about something. Chika-chan also looks absent-minded.

Incidentally, there is one person that wasn't a member of the student council sit in front of me. He is, of course, our dear friend, Miyuki-chan. He looked at us with a determined expression as if he just decided something important.

I assume he wanted our help for his confession as we're student council, the only organization that has much access to this school besides the board chairman. And there is no point to conceal it since everyone already knows about his love problem.

"I assume you already decided on your plan?" I asked.

"Yes, for that, I need you all to help me. Please help me!" Miyuki-chan lowered his head and said. Looking at that we looked at each other and sighed.

"You are really idiot, Miyuki-chan." Kaori shakes her head and said.

"Indeed, as expected of Sissygane," Kaguya said with a cold smile.

"Please stop with that nickname!" Miyuki desperately said.

"Uwaa…Really idiot, Sissygane-senpai." Yuu, who has recovered from his thought, said with a smirk.

"Oi Emogami!" Miyuki shouted.

"Shirogane-san… I am sorry, but I agreed with the name Sissygane." Chisa smiled and said.

"Please don't Kotegawa-san…" Miyuki said in a panic.

"Eit! This is a mild punishment for the idiot Miyuki-kun." Chika also recovered from her absent-mindedness and gently hit Miyuki with her paper fan that she took from the desk.

"Why, though?" Miyuki curiously asked. Looking at that, we looked at each other and smiled.

"You don't need to beg that much. We will help you even without you doing that. Are you forgetting what we are?" I smirked and said. Then, Miyuki looked at each one of us who nodded at him with a smile.

"Friends…"Miyuki widened his eyes and said.

"There you go." I smiled and said.

"Thank you, everyone," Miyuki said with a happy smile on his face.

"Yosh, let's help the confessing plan of Sissygane-chan!" Kaori enthusiastically said with a smirk.

"Oooooo!"

"Please stop with that nicknameeeeeee!"
