23 again

Celeste drew the beaded curtains and went to the bathroom.

She was shocked.

She looked youthful. She looked exactly how she looked when she was 23.

Celeste ran to her bedside table to get her phone. The date on the lock screen left her speechless. She could not believe it.

She was reborn.

Celeste smirked, " Let the games begin."

When Celeste was 23, she was a fresh graduate from an MBA and had begun to work at Sweeney family's most prominent business.

Fleur.

Fleur was the most affluent fashion house. Placed at the top along with big name brands like Dior and Chanel, they sold timeless pieces that were revered. The designer behind it all was Emmeline Brooke.

Towards the end of Celeste's life, Emmeline was fired by Jolene right after she took hold of the reins. This sent Fleur on a downward spiral. Many scandals rose and Fleur's reputation was in tatters.

Jolene sold Fleur at a cheap price and washed her hands clean from that mess.

What could have been highly profitable turned into an abyss that the Sweeney family mindlessly threw more than 50 million at.

Celeste had started out in the finance department and became the CEO before Jolene dragged her down.

And today, 3rd February 2023 was when she was assigned to the role of CEO. She had been working only for a few months but she was being promoted. This was a power move by Mr. Sweeney, the head of the family and her grandfather.

Celeste was his heir.

He never said it in public and it was a fact that everyone knew and Jolene's family hated it. That's why she became their target in the first place

But Celeste had no intention of being the victim this time. She will strike first.

However at this moment she needed to get to work.

" It's my first day. I should dress to impress."

Celeste looked at her closet.

She loved to dress in pink in the past but now she couldn't stand the sight of them. Especially the long pastel pink dress put on display on a mannequin. It was the dress she was wearing when she saw her mother being killed and got arrested.

Celeste took the dress of the mannequin and threw it into the trash can. She then wore a long sleeved loose white shirt with bishop sleeves and a figure hugging silk sleeveless knee length dress. She found a heart shaped pearl earring and clipped it to her ears.

She never got her ears pierced because he said he didn't like them.

Celeste sat down at the vanity to brush her virgin black hair.

She resisted her urges to dye it because he said he liked girls with natural black hair.

" Will I see him again…?"

She quickly snapped out of it. She must not get close to him again. She must not marry him in this lifetime. If she did, her being reborn would be in vain.

Celeste walked in with a burst of confidence and a load of ideas for a new collection. In this lifetime Celeste wants Fleur to shine to its full potential and dominate the field under her care.

Fleur's workplace was organized and clean. Everyone was doing their work efficiently.

But Celeste felt a bit suffocated by the simple white walls and the marble floor.
