Two Waifus
After eating breakfast with Sumire - who was trying to act normal even though something was clearly bothering her - I went to school.
And this time, guess what?
I was early.
That's right, I was early. 'Why?' you may ask and my answer would be, a certain flawless creature waiting for me at school.
I reached the school quickly and when I was infront of the door to my class, I stopped.
I took in a deep breath and listened to my surroundings.
The hallways and the classroom were still very quiet as it was still early in the morning. But I knew Komi would have reached the school by now.
Because we had made it a routine for her to reach the school at the earliest - definitely earlier than me - for her to try and greet me everyday.
'Good morning.'
It was something so simple that most people spent their entire life without realising how blessed they are to be able to wish and greet others like that.
It was the most ordinary thing - maybe even bothersome to some - for the majority of the people.
But for few people in the world like Komi, being able to greet someone - anyone - like that would've been a dream.
With that in mind, I slide open the door and boldly walked in.
There were around 7 other people in the classroom but my eyes only saw the girl who was sitting elegantly just beside my seat.
Komi.
I saw her perked up and for a moment, I saw cat ears on top of her standing in attention when she heard me.
She then turned towards me and I saw her eyes sparkle in excitement and anticipation.
I was caught off guard by what I was seeing.
She was normal and expressionless on the outside but I could somehow see these cartoonish expression on her face now and then.
Just like in the anime where she would somehow turn chibi and would be able to express her emotion.
But unlike in the anime, I was also seeing her flawlessly stoic face. Which made a weird combination in my mind when I saw her.
I went to my seat and she stood up when I was near her.
Then she stares.
Stares.
Stares.
Stares.
Stares~
Stil stares.
Then she sat down with a downcast expression. I was able to see a dark storm just above her head.
I chuckled and patted her head, "It was a nice try. You will be able to do it next time." I encouraged
She looked up and her eyes showed disbelief and joy. She couldn't understand how I understand her but she was happy that I could understand her.
Understand?
She tilted her head, and gestured something with her hands and made sounds with her mouth still closed.
"Yes, I know I am early today. I felt like coming early, you know? Staring the week with a punctuality and all that stuff." I said.
Yes I could actually speak the Komi language.
She flinched in surprise yet again, she looked impressed and happy with my reply.
I sat down beside her and her eyes were always on me as if I was the rarest sight her eyes had ever seen.
She only saw me.
I turned to her and sent a questioning gaze at her.
'Why are you looking at me? You need something?' my face seemed to say.
She immediately turned away and I saw her she slightly shook in her seat as she blushed in embarrassment.
'Well this is going to be fun.' I thought to myself with a smile while I observed her.
Now that I understood her, I came to realise how expressive she really was.
She had so much to say and communicate that it made sense how desperate she was to overcome her anxiety.
"What did you do today Komi?" I asked and Komi turned to me.
She was having a confused look before that evaporated and an excited expression took it's place.
She always wanted to have this kind of talk with someone. Talk about the weather or some as simple as how she was doing today.
So I became that someone.
Though to the outsiders our talk was probably the most quiet staring contest ever.
Because at its core, that was the Komi language.
Stare.

[Some time later]
It was time for the first break now and the bell had just rang.
The students - ever excited for the break - immediately moved out of the class with evident hurry. One of the reason was to be the early ones to get to the cafeteria.
There will be a long line if you were late and there was also a chance of your favorite item being sold out if you are late. So they all wanted to get there quickly.
All man for himself.
Though I was still planted on my seat and so was Komi.
"So, are you eating lunch?" I asked and she looked at me.
She took out her lunch box from under the table and showed it to me before quickly putting it back. Her face was stoic and most people would be confused but I understood.
She brought her own lunch so she didn't need to buy something from the cafeteria, and she would eat her lunch in the second break,
She tilted her head, asking me the same question.
"Well, actually my mother cooks..." I replied with a small smile as this was something I was quite fond of talking about.
We continued that conversation for some time before I heard a yell directed at me.
"YUITO!!!" I know that voice.
I turned towards the sound and saw Marin running up to me with the brightest smile. She seemed to light up the whole world around her.
She came and slammed her hand on my table. She leaned closer to me and her smile widen.
She never called me Yuito. She had always called me Fujita but I quite liked that she called me Yuito now.
'It means that Operation : MFFMPC was working fantastically.' I thought to myself.

Wait!!
'This would be a great chance to introduce Komi to Marin and for Komi to make new friend.' I thought to myself and I decided....
To introduce them both to each other.
Two waifus from different animes meeting each other.
I couldn't possibly imagine how this could turn out bad.
Right?
